Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.

What's an Aguilar?

I'm intrigued by the Spanish settings, considering I live here. I thick this will be the first great video game movie. All those involved seem to care about the property and even if Fassbender didn't play the game before taking on the role he did eventualy play it. I can't imagine him sitting on his couch with a ps4 controller and cheeto stains on his jeans.

@RorMachine It's "Modern day descendant" not ancestor. Ancestor means before, someone previous in a bloodline. Descendant means after or now in the bloodline.

I wanted it to be Desmond and Ezio Auditore da Firenze with some Altäir thrown in there. But if you give me Callum Lynch and Aguilar...thats like making a first Spiderman movie with Miles Morales. Nothing against MM, but that's not where it should start. I'm sure the trailer will be dope. I will still go see it. It might even be good with Fassbender. I'm still skeptical though

@sirgoraf why is Henry perfection? I think he was okay at playing superman in Man of Steel but thought he was better in Man from UNCLE. I wouldn't call either of his roles in those movies "perfection".

I've never played an Assassin's Creed game before... Are they all super sci-fi ish like this? I thought they were medieval assassin games strictly, but DNA decoding? Dude sitting in a contemporary jail cell? This sounds really stupid.
