Michael B. Jordan On Playing 'Human Torch' Again In FANTASTIC FOUR 2: "Why Not?"

Michael B. Jordan On Playing 'Human Torch' Again In FANTASTIC FOUR 2: "Why Not?"

Obviously a direct sequel to Josh Trank's Fantastic Four seems unlikely at this point, but Creed actor Michael B. Jordan has enough love for the Johnny Storm character that he would be up for reprising the role in some capacity. He also gives his thoughts on the movie's failings...

Josh Trank's Fantastic Four has its fans (the poor souls), but it's not unfair to say the majority pretty much hated it. That said, the general consensus seems to be that the talented young cast deserved much better than the movie they ended up in. Michael B. Jordan played Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in the film, and really didn't get the chance to do much at all except pout - but we've all seen what the actor is capable of in other projects, most recently in the brilliant Creed.

In a new interview with IGN, Jordan reiterates that nobody sets out to make a bad movie, and everyone he worked with gave it their all. "I think it was a big education for me to realize that things aren’t in your control, and you can do everything you’re supposed to do," he explains. "You can give 110% every day, and the movie still not work out. But that may or may not be on you and you’ve got to be OK with that."

Again, a Fant4stic sequel is probably off the table now, but if Jordan was given the opportunity to play Torch again, would he take it? "Johnny Storm is an incredible character. Why not?"

What do you guys think? Should Jordan and his cast-mates get the chance to give Marvel's first family another bash, or is it a lost cause? Sound off below.
