Yeah it seemed like Hawkeye was definitely off the team for good...but then again, he did go on a lot about how the Avengers was his "job" and all that. Maybe it was just a leave of absence so he could take care of his family while his wife was about to give birth, and Civil War picks up several months later when he's back on the team?

@KurtWagner1225 Yes! Man, good memory there haha. I loved that they made him the heart of the movie, and so I guess after all that, it really wouldn't make sense for him to leave the team permanently.

Say what you want about Age of Ultron, but it made a TON of people into Hawkeye fans.

And, I have a feeling Hawkeye's family will be fine, if anybody's family is getting murdered, it's Frank Castle's

@dethpillow Ooh, good point! The whole family angle could definitely line up with Tony's mentality. Tony could definitely use that to...maybe not manipulate, but convince Hawkeye to agree with an act that would rein in the superheroes a bit. I mean, I'm sure all the collateral damage and innocents in danger will be a big sticking point. All Tony really has to say is, "Hey Hawkeye, imagine if YOUR family had been in danger there", and there you go.

Now that I think about it, Hawkeye is really the only family man on the entire roster. Stark has Pepper and Rhodey, but no one else. Cap is a loner, Black Widow is a loner now that she lost Banner, Scarlet Witch lost her brother, etc.

Interesting to think about.

Yeah, you're probably right DrHank but that would cause some a major disruption in the Avengers and if there's no big plans for the Punisher in the MCU, could be the MCU version...doubt it, but think it's possible...

True, I just want to see The Punisher in the MCU, badly, haha.

But, yeah, a arc like that for Hawkeye in the MCU would be crazy, but I wonder what it would make Hawkeye, or maybe Hawkeye would get killed off too.

I hope Marvel has some plans for Castle

True, I'm guessing Crossbones still has some ties to Hydra, and that's how he gets his ammo/weapons, and maybe that's how he's still alive and survives the burns

And, Stark would be like, "this is normal guys" to the kids, maybe he would even have a mask of Barton's face, the Iron Legion could serve them dinner.

Stark would try to teach them advanced mechanics and he would get frustrated, and, Stark and Pepper would have arguments over how to raise them.

Haha, and yeah, Hawkeye would just be searching the woods, ha. "It's time for dinner guys" "If you don't come inside now, you'll miss Sponge Bob" "Guys, Guys!!"
