According to The Budapest Report, nearly half the film is going to be shot in South Africa. Notes the story, which reportedly came from a source close to the filming: "Other parts of the filming are planned for Serbia and Dubai, where the secret agent will also be averting terrorist plots.... Bond will be shooting in the famous ocean front, the neglected townships and luxury vineyards in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek while a climatic scene will be shot on the top of Table Mountain."

Popdash.com reports: "James Bond actor Daniel Craig reportedly asked Kings Of Leon to provide the theme tune to the next 007 movie only for the band to turn him down. The 'Sex On Fire' rockers revealed the approach as they launched their new tour documentary 'Talihina Sky' in London this week. Speaking at the launch lead singer Caleb and drummer Nathan said they were thinking about reconsidering their refusal. Revealing that Craig asked them three times, the pair reportedly said that a movie theme tune would give them a chance to work with strings and an orchestra, something they might not do on their normal albums."

Speaking to the LBtimes.com, actress Naomie Harris says of auditioning for the role of a potential Bond girl, "Eva Green's character in Casino Royale was not scantily clad. She was an intelligent, strong, modern woman... I've been the biggest fan of Bond for the longest time. I love the Bond movies. My whole family loves it and they'd be so proud of me."

CBM's own superhero, Fleischer, is now on Twitter, giving people insight into what purports to be his mind.

love Bond movies, I think Daniel Craig has been fantastic even if Quantum was uneven. and Sam Mendes? oooo man, he can shoot the hell out of a movie. (Road to Perdition is gorgeous shot to shot)

but good god, bring back hot women. that's part of what makes him Bond. if he is faithful to one woman, more or less, he's more Bourne, which is NOT a good thing.

and i hope they mildly work in gadgets too. I think you can have Bond elements without being Moonraker-cheesy.

Finally the ball is rolling on this! If KOL got on the theme it would be awesome...gives them a chance to branch out!

P.S. I'm biased as I'm going to see them at Hyde Park tomorrow night!!!

Its bullshit.
This Hungarian rag is misinformed. They're confusing the movie with the new James Bond "novel" Carte Blanche which does take place in South Africa, Serbia and Dubai.

I'm hoping this is some sort of adaptation of Live and Let Die the second book. After they cleverly did what they needed to for character transition with Quantum of Solace, Live and Let Die told using South Africa instead of the West Indies would be a smart move.

Cannot wait!! Solace wasn't up there with Royal but still a good film and much better than every bond film (apart from Goldeneye) since the late 70's.

I agree with write33. It is kind of like what they do with comics sometimes, you can take a new direction and update ideas or whatever, but you can't stray too far from the roots or it stops being what fans love. Ladies, cars and gadgets, if it ain't broke....

Bond 23, I hope they go make to how good Casino Royale, the last bond was severely lacking in content, was completely terrible but could of been better.

Cant wait for the new Bond movie, hopefully they will release it around the start of October, the true 50th anniversary of the Bond franchise

meh, Kings of Leon doing the Bond theme. dont get me wrong, love Kings of Leon but them doing Bond theme, theres something wrong about that

although I hated Quantum of Solace choice of singers and song and it eventually grew on me. Ill wait and see but truly I wish they would use Michael Buble for the new Bond movie. Incredible voice and he has already created a Bond theme which is not actually a Bond theme. Give it a listen:

@write33

I agree completely, now that he has become the Bond we all know and love after two movies, I think its time for the return of random hot Bond babes. And also, gadgets could work in the movie, just try to make them realistic as possible

@Ceejay
I would love if they adapted all the books again, but this time actually adapt the book completely and only change it to fit in with modern day
