Actor Mark Ruffalo recently participated in a Reddit fan Q&A, covering various topics within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  Well, the reddit AMA was to support Water Defense [more details can be found HERE], but the prize and comments were all pertaining to Ruffalo's role as Bruce Banner a.ka. Hulk and his next starring role in Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron.  Here's the best of the questions and responses.

Q:Is your friendship with Robert Downey Jr. in real life as good as it is on the screen between your characters?
RUFFALO:  Better. We have a really good friendship. We've known each other since before Zodiac. And he's kind of like an older brother that I wish I had. He sort of looks out for me, and I remember when the role came up in the movie, I reached out to him, I was nervous about it, I said "I don't know if I can do this" and he said "It's alright buddy, I gotcha."

Q:Mark, you bring so much life to everything you're featured in, and you're such a joy to watch. With that in mind, how much longer do would you like to play Bruce Banner/Hulk?
RUFFALO:  As long as they'll have me. I did the math, and in 3 more movies I'll be in my 50's, and I don't know if anyone wants to see a gray-haired Hulk. Maybe that's not true...

Q:What makes you Hulk level angry?
RUFFALO:  People messing up the environment with little care of the people and living things it will effect. Climate Change denial bums me out but that is mostly people who just haven't looked too deeply into the issue or have very little regard for science. Cruelty, and selfishness upset me and greed is a major ugly quality in people.Wars also suck.

Q:If you had to pick someone to play my love Jennifer Walters/She Hulk, who'd be your top choice?
RUFFALO:  Oh wow, that's pretty crazy. Well I think Zoe Saldana would be a great She Hulk. It'd be nice to see someone like her join the Avengers. Or someone quiet and demure like Emma Stone would be nice. But it would be up to the powers that be.

Q: Hi Mark, are you a comic book fan? Who is your favorite superhero?
RUFFALO:  Well, growing up, when I was little it was the Hulk and Bill Bixby's the Incredible Hulk TV show. But as I got older it was Wolverine, and I have a signed first edition of the Wolverine by Frank Miller. That's pretty cool.

Q: Who's your favorite Pokémon?
RUFFALO:  Squirtle. For some reason that was the first Pokemon I got on my Gameboy, when I was playing it - they would give you 2 different ones, Charmander or Squirtle, and I started with Squirtle, so I have a warm place in my heart for Squirtle.

Q:  Hi Mark....... please answers this.  Who is your favorite Avenger (besides the Hulk)?
RUFFALO:  Probably Black Widow. She's just so cool, and she has to rely on her wits and her own attributes to outsmart and get the upper hand on her opponents.

For the full balance of the Reddit AMA , CLICK HERE.  Ruffalo can next be seen in Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron, currently slated to hit US theaters on May 1, 2015.

Some entertaining and interesting questions and answers from Ruffalo.  Squirtle...who knew?  Also, his pick for Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk is pretty interesting.  Emma Watson, would actually be a pretty fantastic choice, if they went with a CGI doppleganger for Walters' green, alter-ego.  Even Zoe Saldana might work as her look for Gamora is just different enough to possibly get away with playing two characters in the MCU.  On the small chance that you don't agree with Ruffalo's casting choices, you know where to post your own.

I don't think Planet Hulk should be introduced yet.Beta Ray Bill needs to be introduce before a World War Hulk or a Planet Hulk is even announced. I'm sure hoping we will get to see a Black Panther movie
Pheezmatic - 7/1/2014, 8:50 AM

MercwithMouth - 7/1/2014, 8:57 AM
Gotta love Ruffalo. Second best Banner/Hulk we've had.
JordanKing - 7/1/2014, 8:58 AM
Pretty ironic a guy who cares so much about the environment is playing a weapon of mass destruction.
Doopie - 7/1/2014, 9:01 AM
I really like Ruffalo

I went with Bulbasaur the first time

I'm loving all this Hulk news.

I don't know who would be a good choice for Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk. The thing is, when Jennifer Walters transforms into She-Hulk, she retains her personality.

That makes casting the character much harder. Because the actress cast as Jennifer Walters has to not only play that role, but also has to play the role of She-Hulk too.
Doopie - 7/1/2014, 9:06 AM
All the Hulk news has got me wondering...will there be a BP announcement soon?
MrFridayNights - 7/1/2014, 9:14 AM

He can always dye his hair black, hell I'm sure that Downey has been doing it since Avengers. lol
superotherside - 7/1/2014, 9:20 AM
I always liked She-Hulk's story... I would kinda like her to be in a film or maybe a TV show?

Although those global warming comments he's totally right. There is tons of proof about climate change.

Oh wait...

;P

@ Starfox - Nice find. You should post it.

@JordanKing, actually it's pretty ironic for someone playing a brilliant scientist to not realize how environmentalists are trying to distort science to promote their point of view, or to not realize how much science suggests that the environmentalists are either wrong, or at least that all their predictions and models are very iffy. Plus, I'm sure he would say that he cares deeply for people who are unemployed or don't make much money, so it's also ironic that all the ideas that extreme environmentalists would implement to supposedly save the environment would hit poor people the hardest by raising the price of gas and electricity and by killing thousands upon thousands of jobs by wrecking our economy. And, since India and China and other countries actually want to improve their economies and therefore refuse to go along with all this environmental nonsense, even is the U.S. cut its carbon dioxide output way, way back, the overall world output will continue to go up, so it's pointless anyway.

(Sorry for the political diatribe, but one of the things that makes me Hulk angry is idiot actors acting like they know more about science than many scientists, or suggesting that those of us who disagree with them just ignore the science. Contrary to what he thinks, there is a legitimate scientific basis for doubting exactly how much the climate is changing, and more importantly how much human activity contributes to what climate change is happening and if any of the extremist environmental proposals would actually fix anything.)

I heard Ruffalo is on the US Terrorist Watch list.

Those pictures of the ice sheet actually support global warming. It doesn't mean the whole earth will be a sauna,it means that the biggest changes will be most noticeable in the more extreme weather areas.Oh and show a pic of the antartic ice sheet that is losing Miles and miles a day.The science is there to prove it,don't let greedy businessmen convince you otherwise
shangho - 7/1/2014, 9:33 AM
Environmentalists raise the price of gas and electricity???HA HA HA HA all of them that I know have bio diesel cats and solar\wind powered homes.POLITICIANS raise gas prices. My god people ACTUALLY learn about socioeconomics or politics before you believe everything you see on t.v.
CookieKid247 - 7/1/2014, 9:34 AM
Emma Stone as She-Hulk? Interesting...

Thanks!

It's a shame that he still believes the bullsh*t about man-made global warming but i'm still a fan of his after he questioned the official story of 9/11.

9/11 was an inside job, fact.

@Lhornbk: You couldn't be more wrong about climate change. Stop seeing it as a political issue and start seeing it as a scientific one. The science is clear. It's happening, and people burning fossil fuels is the primary contribution.

I understand why some who don't have a very strong science background have been duped. The multi-million dollar misinformation campaign pushed by fossil fuel interests and carried by the conservative media has been incredibly successful.

There's money to be made from pollution and war, which leads to greed, selfishness and denial. It's all about the money. Just follow the money.
GodzillaKart - 7/1/2014, 9:51 AM
@SpacePope: I'd give you the same advice. Start reading the science and avoid the right wing propaganda on the issue.

Here is a good place to start: https://www.skepticalscience.com/

Michael jay white as Luke cage, zack efron as nova, jared Leto as dr strange, oh and any dc fans I think Matt bomer would make the perfect shazam/ captain marvel
LubedUp - 7/1/2014, 10:00 AM
I'll forgive him for not knowing there is 3 starter Pokemon, but saying Saldana for She-Hulk and wanting her to join the Avengers she is already Gamora and will eventually be with the Avengers is a half assed answer.
Titanace - 7/1/2014, 10:01 AM
Hulk is not a WMD....he is green.
Sunnyd - 7/1/2014, 10:02 AM
@superotherside
So all the actual scientists are wrong and your picture means its not happening.
You do realize you are the person that he is talking about right or that nugget go above your head because you don't have pictures to simplify it for you.
StarYeezus - 7/1/2014, 10:03 AM
This site gets more idiotic by the second.
