I saw it last night. Not bad but could've been better imo. Chris Evans was great in it though. Not so sure about Jaimie Bell who's set to play Ben Grimm though. He's not that great of an actor

I liked the film not great imo but still really good, I will say though Chris Evans was amazing in this role.

What happened with Snowpiercer is one of the most petty, juvenile, disgusting things to happen in the film industry. Just terrible, which I guess is par for the course. There's no theaters playing Snowpiercer around where I am, so I haven't gotten a chance to check it out yet. I keep hearing incredible things about it though.

It's a solid movie with some great performances. Definitely not for everyone, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

@InfiniteMonkey, I might end up doing that. Though I also intend to buy it on Blu-ray when it's available...from everything I've heard about it, THIS is the kind of movie that deserves every cent that it makes.

It had it's weak spots, and fell apart a little in the end but overall it was a good movie.

Almost surreal at certain points.

this is one of the BEST movies of 2014 so far !

I like how they put a bunch of different themes in the movie, the analogies in it, definitively a movie that makes you think, Not your average pop corn movie, it was a nice surprise to see Chris Evans doing a different kind of role, it was nice to see him being vulnerable.

8.5/10 for me !

I can't stand Weinstein's fat ass. I loved this film tho. The ending was a little conflicting but I did love the film. As for anyone who hasn't seen the film, watch it for YOURSELF. Don't listen to anyone else. Some liked it, some didn't. Don't let others sway your opinion going into a film.

@AOSgotAlright, Absolutely no offense intended to anyone here, but I usually don't adjust my movie expectations based on comments from CBM users haha. From the trailers I've seen, all the reviews I've read, all the comments on other sites, everything makes Snowpiercer out to be something I'd personally LOVE. Can't wait to see if it holds up!

- STILL hoping to see it in theatres before it shuffles off into obscurity....

..i know its been stated, but - there NEEDS to be more Whip-Smart, Savy, Intellectual, Competent Scifi fare like this... (not to mention from other genres as well), for those of us so inclined to choose from.

Weinstein is a super mega off the charts endlessly reminding us he is an asshole of the highest order.

He is so asshole - his cavity creates an anamolous paradoxical never ending chasm of dickheadiness that loops in infinity.

There are very very few assholes THAT assholey.
Weinstein - the rest of the world can stitch their assholes closed - as you are enough asshole for the planet.

@AOSgotAlright, Oh trust me, I was referring more to some of the other comments on this thread (the ones that basically say: the movie was good/okay/not bad/good but bad ending...those really don't tell me anything about the movie itself haha), not necessarily your comments. I realize I could've phrased that a bit better.

@IndependentGeorge, I don't know how I've only just managed to see this, but you just became my top favorite parody account on this site haha.

That's BS, there have been plenty of films released in the States which were much more complex than Snowpiercer. The Weinstein Company simply wanted to maximize profits by making the movie as accessible as possible. They didn't end up doing that so they weren't confident in its selling power and chose to release on a smaller scale.
