Arrow's a pretty good show (I'm up to episode 19 now). Flawed, but entertaining. I'd rather it stay separate from the DCCU though.

If SHIELD is successful and gets more fans involved in the MCU, I'm willing to bet DC/WB will start to try and include Arrow in their DCCU

It's not great but it's good fun..has potential to grow.
I wish they would stop playing games & stop calling him "the vigilante" & call him Green Arrow.

The DCU actually has a character called VIGILANTE and would be cool on the show but not if they keep calling Oliver that name.

They call other characters by their names such as Deadshot.
Call him GREEN ARROW..any reason not to is garbage.

Its a superhero show on the CW. Did anyone think it could fit with the hyper-real DCU cinematic universe?

I'm glad they came to that conclusion.

Yes. I'm so glad Arrow is not apart of the DCU.

There were tons of people praising the show while it was on.

Now these threads are full of haters who haven't even given the show a fair chance.

Screw all y'all, Arrow rocks

JediPhilosopher - yes because comic books arent drawn out soap operas in their own right. episodic storytelling is episodic storytelling, whether its a soap opera or superheroes

@sameoldthing If you watch the preview for season 2 released at Comic Con it looks as if he is going to finally be called "Arrow" or "Green Arrow."
DCNY
DCNY - 7/25/2013, 2:36 PM
We need a different Green Arrow in a Justice League movie (probably sequel).

Charlie Hunnam anyone?

I started watching Arrow for the first time last week and was pleasantly surprised. It's a bit corny, but not in a bad way and the stuff they get right...they really hit out of the park for a TV show. Looking forward to catching up so I can watch season 2 in real time.
JULEZ13
JULEZ13 - 7/25/2013, 2:50 PM
Good. This show shouldn't be anywhere NEAR the DCCU!

The show is hard to continue to watch... It's impossible to watch the entire season in a week cuz you'll just lose interest.

I'm just watching it because I want to see Manu Bennett...

Plus, the overtly "realistic," Nolaneque style definitely wouldn't fit with the new DCCU.
CaptainPresley
CaptainPresley - 7/25/2013, 2:51 PM

Did I miss something? I didn't read anywhere that someone from the show or the studio said "Arrow" is not part of the DCCU. Just because they can't touch some of the main Batman characters, only means they want them to be fresh and without baggage for the films. That tells me they want continuity. And for those uninformed, Oliver will be called Arrow in season 2 and Green Arrow in Season 3 or later.
LeonNova
LeonNova - 7/25/2013, 2:53 PM
I wouldn't be surprised if the Justice League movie only uses Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Latern. The rumors say it will just be those 5 at least. Really that would probably make things easier, that's 2 characters less to try to balance screen time between. I don't think DC will even use Green Arrow in the DCCU. Having 2 Green superheros may not be something they would wanna do, and Marvel also already has an archer on their team. I will say if they do that, then certain characters will already be established in that world. Huntress, Deadshot, Deathstroke, Firefly, Royal Flush Gang, Count Vertigo, etc. are already existing then. Some dead, and some wouldn't be that usable in the DCCU because of the "realistic" way they've been characterized. Realistic as in, not nearly as powerful as their comic incarnations.
JULEZ13
JULEZ13 - 7/25/2013, 2:54 PM
After watching half of season 1, you can tell that some of the writers on Arrow were a part of Green Lantern... Take that as you will.
Jer3miah
Jer3miah - 7/25/2013, 2:58 PM
Well, they sure hit the nail on the head. CW really does go after that soap opera bullshit that makes their shows f*cking pussy-esque. Ugh, and they must be forced to always go that over emotional route. The one downside to the show, I'd say.
Logan276
Logan276 - 7/25/2013, 3:04 PM
For the best really, Arrow doesn't have the budget to maintain the same quality that a 200m DCCU movie does.

Also I think it works out better for Arrow anyway, being part of the DCCU would only limit the amount of DC characters the show could introduce.
StrangerX
StrangerX - 7/25/2013, 3:05 PM
Arrow is a good show. It would be fun if they tried something new and introduced the new Batman in the show to get some more hype for the movie. Wayne and Queen

@Anno
Exactly right.

ARROW doesn't need Bat-characters, Nightwing needs his own show.
