What Laurel Will Be Up To In ARROW Season 2
Oliver (Stephen Amell) is transitioning from vigilante to hero in Arrow Season 2 but what about Laurel (Katie Cassidy)? Someone else is already in possession of the Black Canary moniker so how will she fill her days and nights?
If you haven't watched the first season of Arrow or you still have a few episodes to go, stop right here as we're going full spoiler mode.
During the first season, CNRI, the law firm where Laurel worked was destroyed. During San Diego Comic-Con, Arrow revealed that Black Canary will turn up during season 2, but it's not Laurel Lance that will be kicking butt in Starling City, it will be her sister Sara (Caity Lotz) that does the skull cracking (at least initially). So where does that leave Laurel? Arrow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg revealed that Laurel's season 2 storyline will be tied with Moira's (Susanna Thompson). "This season Laurel is going to be joining the District Attorney's office, so she might have dealings with [the trial]. Part of it is that she's trying to stay out of it as much as she can, but as always with these things, bad stuff happens."
With Moira admitting to playing a part in Malcolm Merlyn's (John Barrowman) successful plot to destroy The Glades, a low-income section of Starling City, she's looking at some pretty lengthy jail time. What are the odds that Laurel teams up or goes against Manhunter (Kate Spencer) who made a cameo appearance during Season 1?

|"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine."|
