Jean Loring (Teryl Rothery), an Amazo Easter egg, a Canary Cry and SPOILER:[RAS [Mother F#%&ing AL GHUL]. Whew! Arrow definitely brought its A-game tonight. Really liking the new dynamic between Det. Lance (Paul Blackthorne) and 'The Arrow' (Stephen Amell) and Black Canary's (Caity Lotz) storyline just jumped to the front of the que on my list of tv mysteries. You already can tell how I'm voting but feel free to make your own choice in the poll below and then keep the discussion going in the comment section.

Arrow season 2 premiere City of Heroes

"Lance learns a criminal named Barton Mathis (guest star Michael Eklund), whom he put away years ago, broke out of prison during the quake and is back to torturing and murdering women. Felicity offers herself as bait so Arrow, Diggle and Lance can catch this villain, but the plan goes awry. Furious, Mathis kidnaps Laurel in retaliation and plans to murder her while Lance watches. Meanwhile, Thea and Oliver are stunned when District Attorney Adam Donner (guest star Dylan Bruce) seeks the death penalty for Moira. Oliver asks Roy to help him find the Canary (Caity Lotz)."

"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine."

CBM should seriously consider a comment voting system like disqus. I'm getting tired of all these trolls popping up on articles just to spread hate.

Bring it on! The Demons Head returns! With a new scarecrow (check out promo). Who knows...Come Warners just tie this to MoS. Have the Zod message at the finale. Bring in Ben Affleck for a small cameo or Henry Cavill! Just one scene please I'll chop my dick off!

Noooooo Joe Momma. It's my favorite show on tv. I hope they never go that route besides the obvious Flash episode. Super powers would wreck it.

I'll bet they will save Ra's, MoS cameo, and his Green Arrow name till near the finale or third season. Don't mind the wait, just continue making great episodes.

the guy in the dark hood outfit is almost the same as Merlyns. I am sure Merlyn will be back as part of the League of Assasains!

And not all the Black Canarys had that superpower. What they all had though was crazy martial arts skills. Just gotta wait and see. Hell they can't hide too long from Flash boy :p it's gonna come soon, you'll see the powers soon!

Love this episode. One gripe though, if they are going to use tech for canary, they need a different design. Something small and less noticeable, and apart of her uniform. Just the name drop alone shut the whole episode down. I almost shit myself.

As much as i like Arrow, i dont like how they're copying the Batman/Gordon dynamic with Green Arrow/Officer Lance... It'll make my dream of having a live action Batman tv series seem redundant as Arrow wud've done it already... C'mon DC, save somethi g for a Batman series (fingers crossed)

I've gotta think that DC/WB see the potential they are creating with this show. How they would miss adding it to the DCCU can't happen. So much potential.

Malcolm lost his wife and felt lost. He wanders around, fighting criminals, trying to find justice in some way. Finds Ra's just like in Batman Begins *gasp* He trains with him, we possibly know now how he got the Dark Archer costume. Black Canary obviously has ties to the League of Assassins as well.

Also like other have said, The Arrow instead of The Hood, meh close enough lol

DC/WB will never put Batman on a TV show!
JoeMomma29
JoeMomma29 - 10/23/2013, 7:13 PM

It was the same outfit or very similar to Dark Archer, which proves that Merlyn was trained by the League and I bet he will be back!
