I've enjoyed almost every episode, but I wonder how the second one, "0-8-4" got past the spitball stage. Its only saving grace was SLJ's cameo.

Most of the episodes are flat out boring. Boring character, generic boring bad guys, and boring stories. Although I did enjoy the last new episodes, tied in with Avengers and a cool ending.

This show is getting one more Tuesday. If they live in a world of superheroes/villains then where the hell are they and why should I keep watching???

The stories are getting boring, the sarcastic chick is getting really old and its like watching CSI. Always a mystery to solve or investigate. Truth be told, I was excited for the prospect of the show but looks like they are gonna string the viewing audience along and maybe show a hero at the end of season 1 (if they make it that long)

Can we please move on from extremis, super solider serum, made up super villains, non relevant shield cameos and love story bs drama?

I know Arrow has been out way longer but honestly I don't care. At least they have a good idea of what people want to see from week to week.

What has Arrow given??? Canary, Diggle (so popular on the show, they wrote his character into the comics) Deathstroke(YES!!!), Deadshot(YES!!), Speedy(Roy Harper), Count Vertigo, League of Shadows and even references to the Flash (coming soon).

What has Agents of Shield given us??? Maria Hill in a speaking role, Nick Fury chewing out Coulson, Scorch?, some black guy with extremis powers, and nothing more than movie references (chitauri helmet std, extremis x400, super solider serum, etc)

I couldn't agree more. Instead of having made-up super villains, this show should be using real super villains.

I really was hoping for more for this show. Shows life Firefly and Dollhouse (to some degree) were easy to get into right from the beginning but not this show.

It feels to much like SHIELD jr.. To many kids and not enough serious roles. I really hope it improves soon!

@ Omega

You actually make a good point that Agents of Shield is an experiment. But as an experiment you need to look at other shows and she where they went wrong and where they went right.

Not that I am bringing up Arrow, but they could have looked at season 1 of Arrow for some ideas or even Smallville since it did last 10 seasons. It is clear that Agents of Shield is just Agents of Shield no real superheroes or villains. Which is fine but make a great Agents of Shield based on the comics.

In my opinion this show was rushed on t.v. to cash in on the Avengers and other Marvel movies. It is also evident by the way they drop Avengers etc......

@ aThor

True what is in a name? Well if I go see a Thor movie I expect to see Thor and some enemies of based on the comics.

Well with Agents of Shield there is none of that. We do get some cameos from actual agents for five minutes and that is it. I personally feel the show is all over the place it does now know what it wants to be. For instance we get episodes where get hints of villains, other episodes they are fighting militants, or spy vs spy.

The show in my option need to find a plot and stick to it. Granted we are only seven episodes in and I will continue to watch to see where the show goes.

Arrow is not anything like Smallville. They have no shame presenting extreme costumed or extreme characters.
AoS is honestly a let down, very little Marvel Comics to it at all, and it's a chore to watch. The show needs some more ESTABLISHED costumed superpowered characters from Marvel, not another stupid human character that appeared recently in the comics. They are dropping the ball, and it will be a really sad point that the show might be cancelled because it is falling into the same trap Heroes did in many respects.Personally, it may be the same problem (Jeph Loeb)

@ Nivekian

No way is Arrow like Smallville. The reason why I threw Smallville in my comment was for the reason why they were on so long. One of the main reasons they stayed on for 10 seasons is because of comic book characters actually being featured in the show.
