Prior to Batman: Arkham Origins, it was teased that Rocksteady Studios would be working on a "Silver Age" Justice League video game. Given the art deco style of the teaser promo art, that could very well be what will be announced on New Year's Eve. Visit on December 31 to see just what will be revealed.

Batman: Arkham is a series of action-adventure video games based on the DC Comics character Batman developed by Rocksteady Studios. The latest installment, the third in the series, was developed by Warner Bros. Games Montréal for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Legendary Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy stated at the 2013 Dallas Comic Con that he had been working on "the next Arkham" video game, leading to rampant speculation that he would reprise his role as Batman in "Arkham Origins" however, Roger Craig Smith voiced a young Batman in the prequel. This meant that Conroy was actually working on an as-yet-announced future installment in the series.

My guess:

Most likely DLC, IGN covered something recently saying there's a storymode DLC due to be released sometime in December, this is probably it, though if not an it's in fact an announcement for some other Arkham we still win, so can't complain lol.
charlie2094 - 12/24/2013, 1:59 AM
The proper Arkham City sequel is probably being announced at E3, so probably just DLC or nice to be surprised though!!

A guy claiming to be an insider told me it's a Sucide Squad game, now take this with a huge grain of salt, but the guy did seem legit.
BeerForever667 - 12/24/2013, 2:03 AM
I hope Hamill will be back for the next installment of the series. After all he is the definitive Joker. The same can be said about Kevin Conroy's Batman.

Also, [frick] the prequel.

Well my realistic guess is that it's Origins DLC, and there are two likely possibilities; the first is that it's going to have something to do with the Calendar Man due to the hints from the post (Save the date and New Years Eve). The second possibility is that the campaign may be Year 3 for the Arkham verse's Batman. Considering it's the eve before the new year, it seems like a perfect time to announce it. It may actually be a combination of both. We might finally see the arrival and origin of Robin as well.

NOW for my unrealistic guess, Rocksteady's Arkham sequel, fuaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaark.

It's a DLC guys.

KidGoku - 12/24/2013, 4:05 AM
In preparation for Batman vs. Superman... It would be a great announcement if it was a Justice League game by Rocksteady
HavocPrime - 12/24/2013, 4:17 AM
It's probs another DLC for Origins...more than likely something to do with Calender Man
ManCalledSting - 12/24/2013, 4:25 AM
Xfan: You're probably right, but I hope you're wrong, for a Justice League game, made by Rocksteady, would be awesome.
loki668 - 12/24/2013, 5:05 AM
The announcement is that the Joker and Batman are going to swap minds for a while. The new titles will be "The Superior Joker" and "Batty-Pants McFart-Face".
unknownfacts - 12/24/2013, 5:20 AM
Whether its a DLC or new game it's going to be good news.
Spidey10 - 12/24/2013, 5:30 AM
If its a justice league game with Rocksteady doing Superman....yea ill stop right there
Jollem - 12/24/2013, 5:36 AM
Batty-Pants McFart-Face, ftw
OwenWilsonsNose - 12/24/2013, 5:46 AM
Origins is in no way a lesser game in the Arkham series. Critics and fanboys that bitch about that game make me roll my eyes out of the back of my head. The previous two weren't broke, so there was nothing to fix. Was it as good as AC?, but it was every bit as good as AA, and definitely had a more epic scope to it than the previous two. I loved the Christmas setting, and persistent snow storm. It really lent the game a great atmosphere. Excellent story, same great game play, cool boss fights,(especially Deathstroke and Firefly)and the awesome new crime scene investigations were great.
Prime - 12/24/2013, 5:48 AM
I will cry if they announce a Superman game. Come the [frick] on guys, do something else!
LucasMend - 12/24/2013, 5:53 AM
It's awesome that ROCKSTEADY is coming back with it, but if it's coming out next year then damn, I want a break from batman games, so I can miss them and when they come back I can enjoy them more. Different of AC and COD which come out every year, I don't want Batman to become that.

Anyway, I'm still excited! Let's see.
Battabing - 12/24/2013, 5:56 AM
There were some heavy rumors that Rocksteady was working on a JL game based in the Arkham world.

OwenWilsonsNose - 12/24/2013, 6:00 AM
@Prime - There's never been a good Superman game, so your "do something else" comment makes no sense. I would actually prefer the announcement be a Superman game, which would no doubt be fantastic in Rocksteadys hands.
Chances are though it'll be the Silver Age JL game thats been rumored for some time now, and that sounds awesomesauce to me.
DrunkenNukem - 12/24/2013, 6:18 AM
they are going to announce the Justice League game! in the 50´s...the first time of the JLA!...batman and superman in a game made by ROCKSTEADY!!!..and in 2015 Batman and Superman with Snyder directing!!...
....i think im going to faint....

I'll settle for them finally releasing a patch for the "Corrupt Save" glitch which is preventing me from finishing this otherwise decent game.
CorndogBurglar - 12/24/2013, 7:29 AM
Has anyone ever made this big a deal about DLC before? Aside from the Blizzard, PC games like Diablo or StarCraft, most games don't make giant presentations about DLC.

I find it hard to believe that they would just announce a new DLC mode.

I'm hoping this is the Silver Age Justice League game that was supposed to show Batman's first encounter with them. I really hope, but I don't know. They haven't exactly made any news or comments about that in a very long time.
CorndogBurglar - 12/24/2013, 7:29 AM
Also, Arkham Origins sucks.

ComradeGrey - 12/24/2013, 7:30 AM
It's [frick]ing DLC. This is the market now, you pay full price to get half a game, if you can call Batman: Shock Gloves a game.
Facade - 12/24/2013, 7:34 AM
^^You don't have to use the shock gloves...awesome game, btw!
