How much does Clark Gregg know about what has yet to unfold on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? Talking to TV Guide, Gregg talks about how the show will relate to the remaining Phase 2 Marvel Studios films, particularly, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I've said it on twitter but for those of you not on it, the last episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was very, very good. If you gave up on the show, now might be the time to jump back on board.

Clark Gregg: "Ask me again [about a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie] after I've seen Captain America 2. From what I can tell from the trailers, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s a big part of that world...this C.E.N.T.I.P.E.D.E. plot and The Clairvoyant is going to kind of pull a lot of things together and perhaps connects to some of the Marvel films in the same way that a [previous episode] connected, to certain extent, with Thor 2. It will be interesting to see how our team integrates with the world after Captain America [The Winter Soldier]."

Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker, Skye (Chloe Bennet).

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel’s first television series, is from executive producers Joss Whedon (Marvel's The Avengers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, who co-wrote the pilot (Dollhouse, Dr.Horrible's Sing-Along Blog). Jeffrey Bell (Angel, Alias) and Jeph Loeb (Smallville, Lost, Heroes) also serve as executive producers. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television."

StarkAnthony - 2/9/2014, 5:07 PM
Thor tie in was low-key? I guess Tom Hiddleston did express interest in appearing on the show
AlphaDean - 2/9/2014, 5:07 PM
Just Watched T.R.A.C.K.S. episode and yes the show is better than expected. This was the what the show should have been doing from the beginning.
MrCBM56 - 2/9/2014, 5:08 PM

ALegendaryPanda - 2/9/2014, 5:11 PM
I admit, I really liked that last episode. I just hope the quality stays consistent for the rest of the season.
DefcoN - 2/9/2014, 5:12 PM
The show is definitely improving with every new episode. The Clairvoyant's secret identity is killing me.
GUNSMITH - 2/9/2014, 5:13 PM

I don't wish ill on the show and am glad that there are people who enjoy it. I am not one of them, though, and last week's episode was probably my least favorite.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 2/9/2014, 5:18 PM
Show has always been good. It just got better while some were sleeping.
ALegendaryPanda - 2/9/2014, 5:18 PM
What I REALLY can't wait for are those 4 netflix series starting next year! :D
McNyagano - 2/9/2014, 5:18 PM
This show has been a pleasure to watch lately.
MightyZeus - 2/9/2014, 5:19 PM
The Winter Soldier vs SHIELD agents?

Ha1frican - 2/9/2014, 5:19 PM
It's very possible SHIELD will be dissolved following TES or at least become much more secretive. That hopefully would bring AoS to a more dramatic place and make it a little darker. I'm all for the fun that's what I like about Marvel universe rather than have it be in the same vein of DC that scratches a different itch, but more real drama would be nice. Hope they keep the level of quality of T.R.A.C.K.S
MrCBM56 - 2/9/2014, 5:19 PM
ALegendaryPanda

Oh hell yeah! I can't wait for those. I just wish Punisher was in there somewhere.
MrMartinMarvel - 2/9/2014, 5:20 PM
@Spidey31 You're absolutely right, you know other than almost everyone who commented above you. *Sarcasm.
Comedian03 - 2/9/2014, 5:20 PM
Might have to catch up on some episodes of this soon. Hated the first few episodes, but with everyone saying it's gotten a lot better, maybe it's time to give it a second chance
McNyagano - 2/9/2014, 5:21 PM
@Spidey31

"No one cares"

Then why are you here?

blackagar94 - 2/9/2014, 5:22 PM
I just want the Winter Soldier to appear on the show, as either friend or foe. Imagine the buzz if he joined the team ? Never gonna happen, but it would be gold ! A cameo for an ep or 2 could totally happen though. I mean, after SLJ, everybody can come !
NovaCorpsFan - 2/9/2014, 5:22 PM
Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who. That show was a [frick]ing wannabe in every possible sense of the word.
AgentEX - 2/9/2014, 5:24 PM
Damn you Olympics...I need me some more AOS ASAP.
Liverpool4life - 2/9/2014, 5:25 PM
I wish we did not have to wait until March 4th for the next episode. The only good thing will be that we will have new episodes 8 out of 10 weeks from then on.
Bread - 2/9/2014, 5:27 PM
I'm glad I stuck with this because the show is good now. The last three episodes were great! I'm looking forward to whatever they have in store.
ThePresidentGaming - 2/9/2014, 5:30 PM
Scarlet Witch is the Clairvoyant. She & Quicksilver might be @ the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. They might have her @ the end of Agents of SHIELD. She does cause a lot of problems for The Avengers. Think about it. She might just be putting together the whole centipede thing just to [frick] around.
RamonSuarez - 2/9/2014, 5:30 PM
I did enjoy last week's episode too.

But I want a full on Deathlok.
marvel72 - 2/9/2014, 5:30 PM
the last episode was the best thus far, hope the rest of the series is of that quality.
NovaCorpsFan - 2/9/2014, 5:32 PM
Torchwood is a spin off and if those are the only points you can make to link it to AoS, then you're kind of nitpicking.
Bread - 2/9/2014, 5:32 PM
@MrCBM56- He'll definitely be on Daredevil. He'll also probably be a villain/ally on The Defenders, similar to how he was in the Marvel Knights comic.
Halflucan - 2/9/2014, 5:32 PM
Am I the only one who doesn't like agents of shield?... Arrow is killing it at the moment, and I know the tomorrow people isn't comic book but they had a fairly weak first half and It's gotten so much better

The first season of heroes was amazing, this feels like a weak version of that. By incessantly talking about the Stan lee cameo and sif and how it's all meant to "integrate" with phase 2 and Clark calling us looses for not liking the show - it sounds like a needy boyfriend begging their partner to not break up with them

I hope they get a season 2 but the foundations are weak, I wish they just started the whole thing over again, and what kind of evil genius organisation calls EXTREMIS "centipede" *pulls hair out*
RamonSuarez - 2/9/2014, 5:33 PM
@McNyagano

One question. Is CATWS just a very good CBM or a great one?
CaptainObvious - 2/9/2014, 5:34 PM
Last week's episode was the only one I liked.
