CBR spoke with two of the showrunners from the Marvel Cinematic Universe drama, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. about a number of topics, most interestingly, the conversation included some info on Lady Sif's guest spot on the show and what's coming up in the Deathlok storyline. On Sif, Tancharoen stated, " It's really exciting for us to be the ones who allow audiences to get to know her a little bit more. In the "Thor" movies she's one of the players, but here, she has many, many scenes with our characters. Seeing the way she interacts with them, and also knowing her perspective, and why she's here, and her moral compass -- that was very fun, to be able to dive into that." Jed added, "We had been excited to have an Asgardian from the films on our plane, because the fish out of water stuff in "Thor" was some of the best stuff, and also because Coulson is a little bit of a fanboy. An actual Asgardian in his midst -- we were excited for that, and it definitely played out just the way we had hoped. She's a pleasure to work with, and that also made it much easier, once she stepped on the set and was totally game for anything, it makes it a pleasure to write for her."

As far as superhero cameos are concerned, the two showrunners were asked if Deathlok is the biggest superhero name the show will ever feature or are bigger characters on the horizon? "If they're excited about Deathlok, then they should be excited about the things to come....We have some other very fun guest stars in the pipeline.," teased Tancharoen. Whedon countered, "We're in a weird spot, because if the character is big and cool enough, then they're probably planning a movie. [Laughs] We have a fairly large list of characters that we have at our disposal, and we plan on exploring all of them."

No way this emphasize on comic book character doesn't come from a shift from the initial direction of the show. It's a good thing though.

Looking forward to see Sif.
JordanKing - 3/4/2014, 4:04 AM
They may as well throw in Barney the Dinosour into that shot with Coulson, it'd make just about as much sense.
CaptShipwreck - 3/4/2014, 4:05 AM
Cool

Has Anyone Really Been Far Even as Decided to Use Even Go Want to do Look More Like?

I don't need super heros on this show I just need easter eggs and name drops, An interesting story some dialog that doesn't feel like it's written by someone in a high school drama class, maybe some half decent actors, Some Humor that's actually funny and Also some actual agents of shield.
Is that so hard to ask?
Kurne - 3/4/2014, 4:21 AM
Sif is all they could afford :P
TheGreenRanger - 3/4/2014, 4:25 AM
Everytime I see something posted about AOS......
TheRealistStarLord - 3/4/2014, 4:29 AM
The show is getting improved and improved in each episode..
Masterpace - 3/4/2014, 4:30 AM
As Grif would say...shit show.
nikgrid - 3/4/2014, 4:30 AM
In the "Thor" movies she's one of the players...

Sigh...she could have been Wonder Woman.
McFarlaneFan - 3/4/2014, 4:31 AM
I tried to watch this garbage again and it is more fake looking than the commercials.
And do they think Deathlok is a big deal?? He's small time. Any show worth a damn would've used him one episode.

AOS sucks!
soforizo - 3/4/2014, 4:34 AM
@hulkrash

What's with the first question, I didn't understand it.

As for the rest... Yes, I agree better writing is needed, but the addition of comic book characters is potentially a very good thing.
ComicsBornAndBred - 3/4/2014, 4:43 AM
If Coulson is such a fanboy about having an Asgardian in his midst, why wasn't he so impressed with the Asgardian he met in that episode concerning the staff? The episode tied to TDW. The dialogue of this show is...iffy. Why is Skye such a big emphasis? She's the weakest character. Coulson loves her like a daughter now? Everyone else has warmed to her soooo much. May treated her like shit for a while and Ward barely respected her. Sif doesn't need SHIELD'S help to track down her own enemy. She's the goddess OF war.
BruceWayneNewton - 3/4/2014, 4:43 AM
They need to step it up. I can't believe this whole season has been about Skye and how they brought Coulson back to life. Each should have been covered in one episode. The Netflix shows are going to be so much better than this
Jwe75 - 3/4/2014, 4:46 AM
Is this gun in the show?
minusman - 3/4/2014, 5:01 AM
The first half of the season was horrible- damn near unwatchable. Since Christmas there have been big improvements in dialogue and storyline, the characters are being fleshed out more and the team dynamic is being explored. I am glad I stuck with it.
TheGreenRanger - 3/4/2014, 5:05 AM
BruceWayne - Are you seriously surprised Joss is focusing on a female character?
sKeemAn - 3/4/2014, 5:07 AM
What a bunch of whiny pantywaist. The show is seeing much improvemnt since the beginning. From this point it can only get better. If the show is not for you don't watch it.
sameoldthing - 3/4/2014, 5:12 AM
I want Sif to say she can heal Skye by rubbing her naked Asgardian body all over her.
sameoldthing - 3/4/2014, 5:13 AM
After saying it...She does it. AOS needs nudity, move it to HBO.
Pasto - 3/4/2014, 5:14 AM
20 bucks says Cap will be on the Shield episode.
Pasto - 3/4/2014, 5:15 AM
Honestly, last episode of AOS was 100x awesome. They keep that up, I'll be on board for everything. Oh, and they have to kill off the British/Scottish chick, and possibly Skye. But, Skye might become an important figure, so I dunno. But kill off someone.
Pasto - 3/4/2014, 5:16 AM

Bring On The Punisher!!

manofsteel1942 - 3/4/2014, 5:33 AM
Skye vs Lady Sif...in their underwear. That'd be the best episode ever.
MercwithMouth - 3/4/2014, 5:40 AM
It's finally here! Only a few more hours until AoS makes it's triumphant return. Really looking forward to see the resolutions with Skye, and seeing John Garrett for a few episodes. Not to mention Sif and Lorelei, two gorgeous Marvel characters.

One complaint we should never hear, is that there's no eye candy...

Skye, oh my god the things I would do to her.
Simmons, got that nerdy sexy thing goin on.
May, the cougar of the group.
Now Lorelei, sexy, very sexy.
Sif, the third best woman in the MCU.

Damn.
Pasto - 3/4/2014, 5:41 AM
ELgUaSon
If you don't mind me asking, why are you getting excited over the Punisher? Is he on the show or something?
batmanvsuperman - 3/4/2014, 5:43 AM
Aos is not the the best show on Tv..arrow is @ team arrow
hulkrash - 3/4/2014, 5:44 AM
@soforizo
Sorry, you weren't meant to understand it.
I must of read your first comment like 5 times and then I gave up. Maybe it makes sense, maybe it doesn't I can't figure it out.
