The Walking Dead season 4 recently ended and season 5 won't air until October but we already have one potential plotline thanks to executive producer Scott M. Gimple's interview with Lary King.

"I am so determined to make that happen by hook and by crook that I can say definitively, ‘Yes'. But there's time and tide that can get in the way."

In the video above, King throws a lot of fan questions at Gimple, who  answers a whole lot more besides whether Morgan will return, including when The Walking Dead could possibly end. But back to the question of Morgan, is it possible that he's Rick and co.'s savior from the hands of the Terminus cannibals?

I have always enjoyed Lennie James as an actor on whatever show he is on. He was great in Jericho and has been great in the Walking Dead too. It would be great if he becomes a full time cast member. If WB was smart they would cast him as Black Manta.

Be cool to see this happen, especially if it feels natural and not forced

Enjoyed season 4, but do hope Season 5 is an improvement. A lot of material to pull from and the Terminus set up is interesting and could be great, assuming it's not stretched out too long

I'll never be first. =[

Yes, please, bring him back. Anything would be better than the mediocre season 4.

^ I agree with this guy. Love TWD but season 4 was not its best.
GeneralZod1138 - 4/18/2014, 11:27 AM
Looks like Morgan was able to Clear.

I'd like to see him become a regular on this show.

Season 4 was one of the best seasons. Don't know what you lot have been smoking.

^^ I agree. I really liked season 4. We're there a few filler episodes? Sure, but what show doesn't?

Awesome. I loved the episode where Rick found him in that booby trapped town. That was just fantastic television. It would be cool if he saved them...

in order for walking dead to get back up they need to implement Neegan and start killing people off . Gain that much needed attention back and push sick rick to the edge

The first half of season 4 was intense at the moment but a let down in retrospect. I knew from the first episode back after the break that the second half was gonna be filler leading up to a crazy scenario for season 5, but it was kind of a let down too. I have high hopes the writers go all out next season and do some gnarly shit or else i may fall off as a viewer.

Morgan is EASILY the best character on The Walking Dead. He's the most fleshed-out, most compelling, most interesting character they've ever had. Says a lot about the writers, because he's only been in around TWO episodes (and those episodes have, not coincidentally, been the best episodes of the entire show). This season (or at least, the 1st half) was a step up from season 3, but the Governor crap dragged it down again, predictably. I'm all for the Terminus plot to get wrapped up within the first 10ish episodes, and then moving on to more interesting stuff, hopefully heavily involving Morgan.

Second half of Season 4 was hands down the best string of episodes of the series.
antman8o8 - 4/18/2014, 3:54 PM
he was in my favorite episode of that season, Clear! glad to see he'll be back!

The only thing season 4 really had going for it was the return of The Governor. There were a couple really good episodes -- the flashbacks stuff showing The Governor on his own and then rising to lead a new group, and the episode where Rick is hiding under the bed. And I did like that moment when Daryl alpha-dogged Bob when he discovered Bob's bag was full of liquor. But unlike previous seasons, this one didn't have one strong central story to drive the whole season. The flu thing came and went, The Governor came back again and went again, and the rest was filler stuff, just marking time until everyone got to Terminus. Even the episodes with Michonne's back story, Daryl and Beth's episode, Carol and Tyreese and the girls -- the elements were there for them to be powerfully dramatic, but instead they felt flat and forced.

But I think their biggest mistake with the back half of the season was spending so much time away from Rick. Rick is the audience's surrogate; he was our introduction to this world, its his eyes we see it through, his perspective through which we relate to all the other characters -- yet they went, what, three or four Rick-less episodes in a row in the back half. That's like watching a James Bond movie without a James Bond.

As much hype as the actors and everyone else involved heaped upon Gimple as the new show-runner, I felt it was the worst season of the show so far. I love TWD (never read the comics, though, and I don't want to now that I'm so invested in the show and don't want future arcs ruined for me) but Gimple basically gave us a season full of dangling sub-plots without a strong central story to hang them from. As a result the whole season felt like going to the grocery store without a shopping list.

NO S#!%.. "Isn't this COMICBOOKMOVIE.COM ?"
MightyZeus - 4/18/2014, 7:23 PM
Awesome.

I was hoping for Morgan to return when the prison was getting attacked by The Governor a second time. Morgan to be brought back in Season 5 would be amazing, he's one of the most interesting characters on the show.

It makes sense. He would be a perfect love interest for Michonne, considering they both lost their sons.

...and in the comics he played a larger role as part of the group as well.

Good actor but what does that mean for his other show on amc.....
