I think Ron could defeat him no problem.

Why not just get one of Zod's guns? I'm sure one or two were laying around somewhere after the final battle. And Lois Lane killed a few of Zod's henchmen with their own weapons, so it doesn't take a rocket scientist to use them.
Doopie - 8/18/2014, 7:38 AM
It's gonna be an atmosphere replicator. That's what my sources told me any way
Pasto - 8/18/2014, 7:42 AM
What Doopie said. My gut says the world generator thing turned some of earth into kryptonite.
Bekss - 8/18/2014, 7:43 AM
@MrMartinMarvel

So funny and so true
Pasto - 8/18/2014, 7:47 AM
In a realistic world yes, Superman would annihilate Batman. But who the hell would want to pay cash for a film where the god beats the human? Thats just dumb. So of COURSE Batman is going to beat Superman in this film. Thats entertaining.
DaVinci31 - 8/18/2014, 7:48 AM

This subject, of how Batman could presumably defeat Superman, is what largely intrigues me about Batman V Superman, and the DCCU as a whole.

You see, this will go one of two ways: Either a, Batman will find some type of loophole (as he did in The Dark Knight Returns and every other confrontation), or b , he will literally go toe-to-toe with Superman. In reference to the latter, I could see this direction as a blessing for the character (in the sense that it would not only give opportunity for Snyder and Co. to reinvent Batman’s arsenal, but to increase the character’s overall intelligence level, as well).

For example, one of the many ways in which this type of improvement could be executed, would be to give the character some type of force field gadget.

I'm afraid there is no bullshit when it comes to comics - anything is possible. Superman under a red sun is just a man like any other. In this scenario he loses badly to Batman...it's the setting up of the scenario people have a problem with. In a spur of the moment 'let's fight' type situation Superman wins without Bats even having a chance to grab the Kryptonite ring or whatever
Bekss - 8/18/2014, 7:49 AM
"In a realistic world yes, Superman would annihilate Batman."

Something WB/DC (and mostly fanboys) always use to describe their universe. Mmm
Spidey91 - 8/18/2014, 7:50 AM
I'm not anticipating their fight, I like it more when they interact with each other like partners, friends, not enemies.
The last thing we need is another parade of Batman fanboys jerking off to the image of Batman defeating Superman.
TheDudeRusty - 8/18/2014, 7:50 AM
Luthor and Batman working together against Superman would be spectacular.
JediPhilosopher - 8/18/2014, 7:50 AM
The best way is to get a writer who wants Batman to win. Then, Batman wins.
Doopie - 8/18/2014, 7:51 AM
whilst he can hold his breath for a long time Superman does need to breath so technically he could suffocate
SuperCat - 8/18/2014, 7:52 AM
He could defeat Supes with love. LOVE, MAN!

Pasto - 8/18/2014, 7:52 AM
@Bekss
Um....k...

"The best way is to get a writer who wants Batman to win. Then, Batman wins."

^^^^^^^^ This
drellik - 8/18/2014, 7:53 AM
I must say, that is a very intriguing headline.

@SuperCat
Don't forget that love is a battlefield.

"Can you guys help me identify Superman's weaknesses? The only ones AI know are Kryptonite, red sun radiation and magic. Any others?"
Glad you asked. The one they need to use much more. His need to protect people.
TheDudeRusty - 8/18/2014, 7:54 AM
Was Superman's superspeed displayed in Mos?
Pasto - 8/18/2014, 7:58 AM
One things for certain, Hal Jordan sucks.
scapegoatjones - 8/18/2014, 7:58 AM
ironic that Bats can easily use the same ploy the Joker did in TDK to defeat Super.
he knows he wont kill him.
Doopie - 8/18/2014, 7:59 AM
@grifdeadpoolteabag

it's breath. Breathe is the verb, breath is the noun - as in 'hold one's breath'
MrNiklander - 8/18/2014, 8:00 AM
Let me give my thoughts as to how Batman beats Superman:HE DOES NOT BEAT SUPERMAN.Most comics have either Batman fighting dirty or making Superman a complete pussy
Doopie - 8/18/2014, 8:00 AM
@grifdeadpoolteabag

oh the second breath...yeah that's wrong
DrunkenNukem - 8/18/2014, 8:01 AM
Pasto - 8/18/2014, 8:04 AM
Rebel's right. All Batman would have to do is sleep with Lois and Martha.

Super speed didn't seem to be. Zack sure seems to love the heat vision though. The glowing red eyes make supes look menacing.
Gusto - 8/18/2014, 8:06 AM
He could beat him easily if he
has Hal Jordan do it for him.
JediPhilosopher - 8/18/2014, 8:08 AM
@RebelVulcan I'm guessing Batman wouldn't want to use that weakness against him. In fact, the more Batman realizes Superman's commitment to protect, the less he'll even want to fight him. This must not be the way they're going, unless they're radically changing Batman too. So far, I don't see evidence of that.

@Spidey91

Sorry ever since Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns Batman and Superman must hate each other and to have them be friends is absolutely laughable. They must rage at the very thought of the other existing and the only reason they can even stand the sight of each other is through the thinnest of truces but the second one of them even looks at the other the wrong way then boom they will try to murder one another. That is my biggest problem with Dark Knight Returns that Miller completely believes that Superman and Batman must hate each other and be enemies and this idea has permeated since then. Miller has no understanding of Superman as a character and them fighting each other was bad. You want a good story where Batman and Superman fight against each other go read Alex Ross and Mark Waid's Kingdom Come. They knew how to write Batman and Superman and them fighting one another made perfect sense.
SuperPickle - 8/18/2014, 8:09 AM
Stan Lee once posted a video in which he fielded the question that has been asked of him countless times. "Who'd win in a fight between so-and-so and so-and-so?"

One answer, across the board, to all of the various match-ups.

"Whoever the writer wants to win."

Batman wins because he's the damn BATMAN. He doesn't have to hold back. Superman does. Superman would rather get his ass kicked by Batman than kill Batman, which is what he'd have to do to make Batman stop.

Superman, by virtue of the magnitude of his powers, can't win that fight. If he wins, he loses. No such dichotomy on Batman's side. Sure, Superman could throw Batman into deep space, melt him with a simple gaze, or crush his skull with a gentle tap on the forehead. But he can't and won't do that. Batman has that one rule, which, in regard to Superman, he couldn't really break even if he wanted to. So the Bat-gloves would be off while Superman's kid gloves would be on.
l0rdleg0las - 8/18/2014, 8:13 AM
Without kryptonite there is no way let alone 5 ways Batman could ever beat Superman. It's a joke to say otherwise. Superman could flick a booger with more force than Batman could punch or kick. Even kryptonite is dicey because in the second it would take Batman to get the rock out of his belt, Superman could rearrange every bone and organ in Batman's body.
JediPhilosopher - 8/18/2014, 8:13 AM
"Whoever the writer wants to win." :)
SwingsetKnight - 8/18/2014, 8:14 AM
Valid only if tomorrow's article is: "5,873,219,940 Ways Superman Could Beat Batman."
ckal - 8/18/2014, 8:14 AM
The answer is zero.

There are zero ways Batman could defeat Superman. Any time Batman ever comes out on top is due to massive amounts of PIS and Bat-wanking.

Even with Kryptonite, Superman wipes the floor with Batman in seconds. Kryptonite does turn Supes into a pathetic crying baby, but not instantly.
WYLEEJAY - 8/18/2014, 8:15 AM
It will be symbolic. It will have actual meaning to it. Supes will kick his ass. And Batman will just make sure people see that. Batman will point out, that this is why people will always fear you. So Batman will defeat him by turning the people against him. Its the only way Batman could actually defeat Superman in this world that Snyders created. Without Kryptonite that is. This would be much more dramatic than Batman simply kicking his ass after poisoning him with Kryptonite. It will probably play out a little bit like Iron man and Captain Americas last brawl in Civil War. The people came to Iron mans aid to stop Captain America. Thats what ultimately stopped Cap from continuing the fight. He gave up then.
