We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp...

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man has swung into theaters. Now playing!

I'm sooooo glad they didn't adapt the goofy gold and green suit with lighting face mask...fine for the comics, but not live action...

I've been listening to "The Slackers" all [frick]ing day.

This movie is in as many theaters in Saint Louis as Cap2 is.

I still can't get over how disappointed I was with this film. It's good, but nothing more.

I actually haven't seen this yet. Stuff came up, so it's kinda been on the back burner for awhile. I dunno, I'll get around to seeing it eventually, I guess.

The Cure. That's what I've been blasting all week. "Watching Me Fall".. that's what I'm listening to right now.

Such a terrible villain, His power set made no sense.
0megaDaGod - 5/22/2014, 1:23 PM
Now that DOFP is here to be the 'Savior', at least we can stop hearing about how great some people were pretending this movie was
cipher - 5/22/2014, 1:24 PM
yoss- Niiiiiiiiiiice, bro. He's got good stuff to look forward to, and you just gave me a lot of stuff to look out for, man. I've been meaning to dig into some of the folk stuff, too, so I'll probably do that over the weekend.
cipher - 5/22/2014, 1:25 PM
Hahahahaha, "Blind Chettah". Hey, in case I'm not here tomorrow, you have a good weekend, yoss. Take care, man.

:)
yossarian - 5/22/2014, 1:31 PM
Ciph - I won't be here tomorrow. It's memorial day weekend! The GF owes me BJs and sandwiches and anything else I want. We are going to a lake and are going to eat, drink and be awesome. I will message you...next week with some folk tunes to check out. Just remind me, I won't be thinking right.

It was an alright film. I still prefer these to Raimis films.
Marxman12 - 5/22/2014, 1:39 PM
Speaking of music I'm pretty excited that Echo & The Bunnymen have a new CD coming out.
Gandhi - 5/22/2014, 1:40 PM
To this moment I still don't understand where that electro suit came from.
Marxman12 - 5/22/2014, 1:41 PM
MrYurMomm That's one of my favorite thriller anthologies in that gif.
santoanderson - 5/22/2014, 1:41 PM
What I don't get about the suit is that it's made of rubber, but still somehow materializes and dematerializes electrically. Rubber isn't a conductor...
Gandhi - 5/22/2014, 1:43 PM
Spider-man here, X-Men there... all I want to know is when "Gandhi 2" going to hit theaters.
yossarian - 5/22/2014, 1:43 PM
Echo & The Bunnymen are still around? That's cool.
Dandy - 5/22/2014, 1:43 PM
As a huge Spider-Man fan.....and a fan of the first Amazing Spider-Man, this movie sucked!

4/10

Though it had some cool and memorable moments (and I liked the final act), for the most part the film was a tangle of subplots with no real through line story.
McGee - 5/22/2014, 1:49 PM
That thumbnail reminds me of this.

HavocPrime - 5/22/2014, 1:56 PM
I love visual effects work.
Comicbookguy543 - 5/22/2014, 2:06 PM
I wish they could of at least used a really dark/muted green for his suit...I drew this fanart where I mixed his comic look with his movie look, it wouldn't of worked on film but I can dream!

Jollem - 5/22/2014, 2:28 PM
@Gandhi - that suit is from oscorp. it's worn by people who work with the electrical stuff
Jollem - 5/22/2014, 2:31 PM
foxx was great. awesome spider-movie. so many kick-ass parts
Jollem - 5/22/2014, 2:47 PM
good stuff, Comicbookguy
SpiderMiles - 5/22/2014, 3:20 PM
ok
notmuchtotellreally - 5/22/2014, 3:46 PM
There's nothing worse than Marvel Studios fanboys. You guys are a disgrace to real comicbook fans.
Comicbookguy543 - 5/22/2014, 3:46 PM
Thanks :)
supermarioworldE - 5/22/2014, 4:42 PM
The special effects teams seem to be the only ones putting in effort for summer blockbusters these days.
pintoman - 5/22/2014, 4:51 PM
If his energy blasts of lightning are visible, whatever allows him to levitate needs to be visual as well (more lightning). Looks like he's floating just because they want an air battle.

Lame
notmuchtotellreally - 5/22/2014, 9:57 PM
TAS-M movies are the best comicbook movies ever made in my opinion.

MS can suck a dick for all I care.
IsaiahBradley12 - 5/23/2014, 12:53 AM
what the [frick] ya'll talking about the movie was good! If ya'll can't make a movie like this, ya'll should shut the frick up!
Nomis1800 - 5/23/2014, 4:06 AM
I haven't seen the film yet. But I can wait for the blu-ray.

Bladezer0 - 5/23/2014, 9:23 AM
I'm the only who thought the movie was pretty good! It wasn't that bad
BugBoy88 - 5/23/2014, 9:57 AM
What's funny is half of you guys saying this film is terrible are admitting that YOU HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN IT! LMAO Some of you 'fake' fanboys are hilarious!
