Has Harrison Ford's Broken Leg Seriously Delayed STAR WARS VII?

Earlier this month, Harrison Ford ("Six Days Seven Nights") was injured on the set of J.J. Abrams' Star Wars VII. At first, reports stated that it was just an ankle injury but we were all later informed that he actually broke his leg. A lengthy delay may occur.

The latest Star Wars VII rumor comes from Jedi News and it is a gloomy one my friends.
We're hearing via a number of sources that production on Episode VII could be delayed due to the severe nature of Harrison Ford's leg injury. We understand a meeting was called this morning at Pinewood to discuss the situation, but the early word is that production of the film could be pushed back by a substantial amount of time.

Additional information from The Metro claims that the delay could be as long as six months. That's quite as surprise since The Hollywood Reporter was told a week ago Harrison Ford would only be out of commission for eight weeks.

The image on the right is the first look at Harrison Ford's broken leg. You can click on it to make it larger, but I warn you that would be a dead giveaway that you're still a virgin. You can see more images of Ford in a wheelchair at the Daily Mail.

Star Wars: Episode VII - Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, David Oyelowow, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film. It's being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer. The movie opens worldwide on December 18, 2015.

They should not do rewrites they should delay it and not rush out the movie nothing good can come out of that but a sloppy unsatisfying movie. Its there own fault for having a unsafe set Ford got injured and this a result of that.

DaVinci31 - 6/23/2014, 3:16 PM
This news kind of aligns with Tom Cruise's rumored cameo for the film.

Anyway, I hope the man has a well treated recovery. He's a national treasure.
Nomis - 6/23/2014, 3:16 PM
LOL! N.B... Why reference (Six Days/Seven nights) for Harrison ford int he article? Of all the grat movies he done. Why that one?
antoineflemming - 6/23/2014, 3:17 PM
Good job J.J. Abrams. That's why you don't go all practical.
LMB10 - 6/23/2014, 3:20 PM

That's right - no studio in their right minds would put two huge franchises up against eachother - especially after they both recently had high grossing films and especially given the similar genre and - wait a minute
EzioKenway1225 - 6/23/2014, 3:21 PM
indy-do u know it was an unsafe set, maybe Ford was doing action scenes and something happened,i highly doubt JJ Abrams would have an unsafe set
Indy - 6/23/2014, 3:22 PM
Six Days Seven Nights is a great movie very funny. Get well soon Mr. Ford!
TheAbaryMan369 - 6/23/2014, 3:23 PM
Well... just film the scenes with no Ford in it.... duh
DeusExSponge - 6/23/2014, 3:24 PM
I don't know how production works so excuse me for my ignorance, but can't they move on to filming different scenes instead of waiting for Ford to recover?
EzioKenway1225 - 6/23/2014, 3:24 PM
indy-i dont mean that as hostile, its just that they are so many different reports, up this point, many thought he injured his ankle but now we know he broke his leg
CookieKid247 - 6/23/2014, 3:25 PM
Han Solo injured?
EzioKenway1225 - 6/23/2014, 3:25 PM
DeusExsponge-thats what i think they are doing, they just reshuffled things around as Avengers Age of Ultron did when Scarlett Johannson got pregnant
MrBlackjack - 6/23/2014, 3:26 PM

Ehh, you're probably right.
DaVinci31 - 6/23/2014, 3:29 PM
"Maybe it's a sign that this movie should not be made."

BlindJustice - 6/23/2014, 3:30 PM
They will just film the other scenes then come back to his. I'm pretty sure Han Solo isn't in but MAYBE 35% of this movie...and that's pushing it.
Fabius - 6/23/2014, 3:31 PM
Greedo had his vengeance at last....
BillWonka - 6/23/2014, 3:31 PM
I broke my leg and my ankle once (at separate times). Seriously, as far as I've experienced, if the break is at the knee or ankle or foot or anywhere your body puts substantial pressure on, the doctors don't know when the heck you'll be walking again. Doctors told me 6 weeks. It took 4 months.
