New Trailer: See Why JUPITER ASCENDING Was Pushed Back To February

Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis star in "Jupiter Ascending," an original science fiction epic adventure from filmmakers Lana and Andy Wachowski. Jupiter Jones (Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people's houses and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along—her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos. From the streets of Chicago to far flung galaxies whirling through space, "Jupiter Ascending" is written and directed by the Wachowskis.

Chaning Tatum is slowly becoming one of my favorite actors just to watch. But this looks like a February fil.
KidGoku - 6/26/2014, 7:29 PM
The Wachowskis wanna make DBZ so bad.
batz11 - 6/26/2014, 7:45 PM

This looks like a lot of fun and the Watchowskis always deliver. You people are never happy with anything.

I wouldn't mind the Wachowskis handling a DBZ film. As campy as Speed Racer, they nailed the tone and visuals of the original anime.
0megaDaGod - 6/26/2014, 8:16 PM
@staryeezus

Speed Racer actually was the perfect foundation for a DBZ movie

@Shroombeast - slap a marvel studios sticker on it. usually works around here

How long until Fox's Dragon Ball movie rights expire?
TheSoulEater - 6/26/2014, 9:41 PM
Still not going to see it
Ocelot - 6/26/2014, 9:50 PM
Dragon Ball Z can't work in live action.
JediPhilosopher - 6/26/2014, 10:31 PM
I just realized a qualification for something to interest me. It must be be possible to work in live action.
l0rdleg0las - 6/26/2014, 10:43 PM
With the Wachowski's even before the pushed back release date this was already a wait until it is on tv.
Humperdink - 6/26/2014, 10:52 PM
"We need a plan."
"We need fire-power."

No. You need to stop this movie all together.

"AlexanderLykins - 6/26/2014, 7:10 PM

First comment nails it.

"Jollem - 6/26/2014, 8:41 PM
@Shroombeast - slap a marvel studios sticker on it. usually works around here"

Another comment that nails it, even though I may have disagreed with the poster in the past, so I endorse it lightly.
miklonus - 6/26/2014, 11:03 PM
Jollem, the best movie of this year, definitely the best action movie and best genre movie, came out June 6th and didn't have a Marvel logo or DC Comics logo attached to it and therefore people didn't go to see it.
miklonus - 6/26/2014, 11:05 PM
"KidGoku - 6/26/2014, 7:28 PM

Please die.
yonny616 - 6/27/2014, 12:06 AM
@Ocelot They said that about Superman. They said that about many comic book characters that are now in franchises. Characters like Iron Man, the X-Men, Thor, etc. Even Batman to some degree. There's no such thing as "can't be done in live action".
Humperdink - 6/27/2014, 12:10 AM

Your new Gambit, ladies and gentleman.

thatdude - 6/27/2014, 12:22 AM
Humperdink - I'm not sure I get this joke. Can you elaborate.
KallarkKent - 6/27/2014, 3:10 AM
This movie keeps failing to create any interest.
SuperCat - 6/27/2014, 4:24 AM
This movie has TNT written all over it.

That'd be my GF now Joe LOL...the ex was frozen though ;)
case - 6/27/2014, 7:50 AM
So why was it delayed?

Some of the long widescreen visual shots look ok. Kind of a 90s scifi vibe to them.
The characters, drama and some of the costumes are gonna suck I reckon. Therefore the movie will suck.
JediPhilosopher - 6/27/2014, 11:08 AM
Batman Begins: "It's not who I am underneath, but what I DO that defines me."
Jupiter Ascending "Oh, it's not what you do, it's what you are."
:P
JediPhilosopher - 6/27/2014, 11:14 AM
This movie doesn't look bad to me so far. When I hear they're reshooting scenes and fixing special effects, I see a perfectionist fixing things. I was regarded as one of the better pencil artists in my high school's art program, but I also spent much longer on drawings than most, and used a lot more eraser. It was the finished product that mattered. My art teacher didn't see it that way and gave me my only F I got in high school. I forgive the bastard.

He was a hippy who hated honor-rollers.
