Cool, I like Blomkamp. District 9 was brilliant, Elysium was ok.

Can't wait. I'm a huge fan of Blomkamp's work. Even though Elysium underwhelmed (or whelmed, as the case may be) a lot of people, it's hard to argue that it wasn't a well shot film.
Dandy - 7/23/2014, 2:07 PM
This looks interesting. I'll check it out. Let's hope that it is more District 9 and less Elysium.
darthgeekboy - 7/23/2014, 2:10 PM
judging by the head design, robotech and other manga/anime were an inspiration.
DaVinci31 - 7/23/2014, 2:11 PM
2015's going to be one hell of a year.

So the people who play the characters of Ninja and Yolandie Visser on stage and in their music videos will be playing these same characters in this film? Why? I thought they would be playing unique characters or even versions of themselves but the Mommy = Yolandie and Daddy = Ninja seems to indicate that...I don't know what the [frick] it indicates. This is a very weird project. :/
Foxkids - 7/23/2014, 2:37 PM
Can't wait for this I love Hugh jackman
McNyagano - 7/23/2014, 2:52 PM

this is going to b creepy isnt it? kinda like how A.I was
kakinurmawth - 7/23/2014, 4:29 PM
The reason I believe Elysium fell flat was because the entire movie was like the the third act of a bigger story that we didn't see. I couldn't connect fully with the ending because I didn't have the same experience as the characters in the movie. There's this whole world and mythos that drove Elysium, but not including the audience in that mythos and everything before Matt Damon was where I believe Elysium fell flat.

It's very tricky doing a movie with that much backstory cause you have to navigate what to tell and show to make sure there aren't any gaps between what your characters are going through and what your audience is going through.
kakinurmawth - 7/23/2014, 4:31 PM
I'm a big fan of Blomkamp. Can't wait to see this.
RobertLiefeld - 7/23/2014, 6:29 PM
Looks great! Much better than the shit Ultron and Ant-Man garbage Marvel is throwing out there.
superbatspiderman - 7/23/2014, 7:50 PM
District 9 is probably one of the best scifi movies of the last decade and I really enjoyed Elysium. Elysium had some pretty ijntese action scenes and Sharlto Copley was a fantastic bad guy even though his accent can get a little annoying. District 9 is one of my favorite scifi films though and I hope this new movie is along the lines of that.
Maia87 - 7/24/2014, 12:05 AM
What about District 10?
DrunkenNukem - 7/24/2014, 5:25 AM
Sorry but the premise sounds stupid....
Jollem - 7/24/2014, 5:34 AM
another piece of brilliance from neill
RandyBobandy - 7/24/2014, 11:26 AM
The head design is actually inspired by Patlabor @DarthGeekBoy. This movie is gonna kick ass, Die Antwoord will surprise a lot of people in it.
RandyBobandy - 7/24/2014, 11:28 AM
@Holmes - it's been billed as a "sci-fi comedy", probably dark comedy, but it's not going to be depressing.
Holmes - 7/24/2014, 2:00 PM
@RandyBobandy alright good, i havent looked at this movie at all yet
wcwpoet - 7/25/2014, 2:52 PM
After Elysium my excitement is greatly tempered.
wcwpoet - 7/25/2014, 2:53 PM
Oh and this plot is simply Short Circuit 2
