Hitman: Agent 47 is the second feature film based on the popular video game series. The first film, which opened in 2007 starred Timothy Olyphant and Dougray Scott. It made $100M at the worldwide box office against a meager $24M budget. The new film, is being directed by Aleksander Bach and written by Michael Finch, Kyle Ward and Skip Woods. It stars Rupert Friend, Zachary Quinto, Hannah Ware and Thomas Kretschmann. Of note: Friend replaced Paul Walker in lead after the Fast & Furious actor died in a car accident.

"The story is focused a young woman named Katia van Dees who teams up with Agent 47 in order to find her father and her true ancestry. They both discover that Katia is a genetically engineered assassin just like 47. Together, they fight the Syndicate to find Katia's father."

Why can't ever get a suit that actually fits the guy? And a head shape that does look odd? They literally could've just gotten Jason Statham and I'm sure this movie would be better than whatever they're making this into.
DrKinsolving - 7/23/2014, 6:43 PM
Another Hitman movie, did the first one do well at the Box Office
DrKinsolving - 7/23/2014, 6:45 PM
I like Rupert Friend in Homeland, the movie might be interesting
JoshWilding - 7/23/2014, 6:45 PM
Great actor, but being bald doesn't suit him!
SidTheSloth - 7/23/2014, 6:49 PM
I hated the first one so much because i love the video game series. It [frick]ed it all uo. This dude looks wierd but i hope he will be a good Agent 47
SidTheSloth - 7/23/2014, 6:49 PM
SuperDude.....you never played the games have you?
staypuffed - 7/23/2014, 6:55 PM
He looks okay. I'm looking forward to this, though.
SuperDude001 - 7/23/2014, 6:55 PM
SidTheDolphMan @ Played the first one years ago. Why?
MightyZeus - 7/23/2014, 7:00 PM
Looks good. I never understood why they would have a bar-code tattoo'ed on the back of there head? Wouldn't it arouse suspicion?
Batmantis - 7/23/2014, 7:06 PM
@SuperDude001 - Statham would be a bad idea. He's already planned The Transporter, Agent 47 would look like a ripoff.

Anyway, I wrote about it in a previous article but here's the new barcode (or lack of).

DudeGuyMan - 7/23/2014, 7:08 PM
I literally have no clue who this guy is. Could be good.
SuperDude001 - 7/23/2014, 7:15 PM
Batmantis @ Okay maybe not Statham, you're right it would seem a ripoff, but my point is the role should have gone to someone who is a worse actor (and frankly looks better bald in a suit). And yes I meant 'worse'. The actor needs blunt expressions and yet the ability to just pass as a badass action-movie star, because that's how the audience connects through such a blank canvas (and like the audience is that controlling the character in the game). That's what should be aimed for in video games movies, cause unless it's one of the more narrative/character focused pieces like Uncharted or The Last Of Us that is the only way video game movies make money or sense.
Friend is too good for this, and that's gonna make the movie worse. While cinema should be more substance and less spectacle, video game movies are the complete reverse.

I just hope they stay away from love stories.
npamusic - 7/23/2014, 7:17 PM
I actually reallly REALLY enjoyed the first one. shit was bananas.
GUNSMITH - 7/23/2014, 7:20 PM
I HONESTLY WANTED STATHAM AS THE GUY..HE WOULD OWN THE ROLE.
muttonman - 7/23/2014, 7:27 PM
The whole time I played those games, I swore they based the character off of Bruce Willis...
DrunkenNukem - 7/23/2014, 7:36 PM
meh to this movie and the videogames...
superbatspiderman - 7/23/2014, 7:45 PM
I actually really liked the first Hitman movie. It is a decent action flick and I like Timothy Olyphant as well as most of the other cast members like Dougray Scott. Hopefully this one of closer to the games.
RexDartEskimoSpy - 7/23/2014, 7:47 PM
Grant Morrison?
RangerStorm44 - 7/23/2014, 7:49 PM
As long as he taking out fools while wearing disguises then I'm up for it
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 7/23/2014, 8:01 PM
Literally just came off playing Absolution to see this lol
GuardianAngel - 7/23/2014, 8:08 PM
I bught all the games, played some of the first one, rage quit, and never went back.
Tainted87 - 7/23/2014, 10:03 PM
Ugh.

They'll probably go: "this is just like the video game, because Absolution has a similar storyline".... except Absolution is probably the worst Hitman game.
Silent Assassin came out when I was in high school, and once I grabbed that one, I was hooked. They kept getting better until Blood Money set the bar too far up for any other game to match.

The Timothy Olyphant movie wasn't the abomination most hardcore fans took it for, but it did stink of studio intervention. 47's soul love interest is Diana, and that's barely anything. Still, it had some nice homages and touches to it.
TheBrotherhood - 7/23/2014, 10:37 PM
Is that Sinestro's human body?
Darktower - 7/23/2014, 10:57 PM
No No !! [frick] no!! why do they alway [frick] up Hitman?!!

Why cant they just get Jason Statham , he is [frick]in Perfect !
loki668 - 7/23/2014, 11:00 PM
I hope that the chemo works!
kakinurmawth - 7/24/2014, 12:01 AM
well there's your problem! Look at that head! Jesus it's like an alien head.

This will always be the best live action Hitman rendition ever...and it wasn't even for a Hitman movie!
kakinurmawth - 7/24/2014, 12:04 AM
That, everyone is Matthew Fox. That was from that movie Alex Cross. It might have been a bad movie (it wasn't terrible, it wasn't great) but the way Fox looked throughout that entire movie mad me scream at the screen WHY THE [frick] IS HE NOT 47!! CMON!

His head is perfect. His features are perfect. LOOK AT THAT GRIMACE.
@GUNSMITH you know what I'm talking about right? That quintessential Agent 47 perpetual grimace.

That right there is the 47 we've been waiting for.
kakinurmawth - 7/24/2014, 12:17 AM
Marxman12 - 7/24/2014, 12:19 AM
Matthew Fox did an excellent job in 'Alex Cross'.
kakinurmawth - 7/24/2014, 12:25 AM
@Marxman12
Fox was the only reason I watched it. I've been a fan of MAtthew Fox since Lost.
I feel like he went all out for the role but everyone else was like stuck in first gear.
Bl00dwerK - 7/24/2014, 1:31 AM
Dude is great on Homeland, but I don't know about this...
Maxi91291 - 7/24/2014, 3:02 AM
[frick] this movie, [frick] the hollywood vision of the Hitman series, [frick] the people who made Agent 47 an orphan and not a clone, [frick] the people who always think its important for 47 to help some damsel, [frick] the writers who think huámanizing 47 is important. They dont get the series at all. [frick] them.

Why do they always think they need to humanize Hitman somehow ? he is supposed to be unrelatable, cold-hearted killer with no remorse. Thats the point. They make up some bullshit and just give it the Hitman paintjob because its popular. They make him an orphan because a clone is too far-fetchzed for them but they dont realize that Hitman is popular because of those traits. Because he is not a normal buman being, because its about his job, about him killing people in creative and proffesional way, its not about some hollywood story and saving a girl. I like Hollywood movies but not this. This has nothing to do with the Hitman franchise.

Theres only one person IMO who should play hitman in a live action feature. Mr. Darvid bateson. No other actor chould even touch this.

MrSotoMan - 7/24/2014, 3:21 AM
Seems like another Max Payne/video game movie fiasco.
Maxi91291 - 7/24/2014, 3:21 AM
@MrSoto

Exactly
GURILLAPUD - 7/24/2014, 5:12 AM
Love the game but I can careless about a movie, I'll still watch it.
gambgel - 7/24/2014, 5:13 AM

Jollem - 7/24/2014, 6:01 AM
