From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy's fate in the balance.

Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, featuring Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Commander Rael and Benicio del Toro as The Collector. James Gunn is the director and the story is by Nicole Perlman and James Gunn, with screenplay by James Gunn. It releases in U.S. theaters on August 1, 2014.

Liked Quill's Thriller jacket in the film. Glad they went with that one instead.

I can't express enough how much I loved this movie, seen it twice and can't wait to see it again.
TheAbaryMan369 - 8/4/2014, 5:54 AM
I wouldn't mind a suit like that in the sequel.

Annnnnnd Rotten Tomatoes is at 93%. People love it, and the trolls are on to nitpicking instead of trying to call it green lantern. Lmao

There are some individuals who have been suspiciously quiet since this movie came out....things that make you go hmmm.

No matter how much Marvel Studios wins....trolls will always try to convince themselves otherwise. It's sad really.

I hated Avatar, but there's no way I would try to convince people it wasn't well received and liked by the majority who saw it. Trolls are unable to face the facts.

The production design on this movie was phenomenal.

Makes me wonder which I would rather see first: the Guardians playing on Earth, or the Avengerd fighting in deep space.

Success breeds contempt.

Especially when rivals fail so miserably.

ThePowerCosmic- You are correct sir! :-)
Titanace - 8/4/2014, 6:19 AM
@thepowercosmic. I think it goes both ways. I love to see the celebration of things, it's the low class we are better than you behaviour that irks me.
RamonSuarez - 8/4/2014, 6:22 AM
But Marvel is better. And considering the naysaying we always hear about their risks, its good to remind people of this.

@ramonsuarez....I do agree that Marvel is currently doing better than all other studios, but bringing others down to make oneself look better is not my of being a good winner.
JackBauer - 8/4/2014, 7:10 AM
Great movie. My 4 year old loved it but be warned, it is extremely violent for a Marvel film.
Scarilian - 8/4/2014, 7:11 AM
@Titanace

Marvel is not bringing anyone else down, they are doing that to themselves.
