We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp...

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

Joementum - 8/26/2014, 1:32 PM
I have heard it has 13 deleted scenes and 100 minutes of extras.

The question then becomes;
Does any of this make TASM2 tolerable???
yossarian - 8/26/2014, 1:35 PM
When does this come to cable?
StarYeezus - 8/26/2014, 1:39 PM
This scene was worth half the ticket price. I'm still waiting for a return on investment from the other half.

Just recently watched the bonus features the other day on Blu-Ray. Man they really put a LOT of work into this film and you'd be totally surprised how smartly they used CGI for certain scenes, from the actual breakdown of Spidey's costume to the making apof the theme for the film it's all just monumental (even if the film wasn't to some people).
Jollem - 8/26/2014, 1:49 PM
@spideyfan77 - it really was the best and most comic-booky spider-movie yet
Thelastdalek - 8/26/2014, 1:53 PM
I just thought this movie was meh myself not great no terrible.

But for Christ sake will the haters stop beating that dead hoarse all ready?
JamesMan - 8/26/2014, 1:53 PM
@TheRationalNerd

Watching the making of extras were great. You see a lot of the work that went into it. Hell, the biggest surprise for me was seeing what was actually practical effects such as the Goblin suit, a majority of the clock tower, and the Times Square scene.

multiple instances of spider-man saving people

dynamic spider-man fights

epic web slinging
Jollem - 8/26/2014, 2:06 PM
i like how aunt may keeps trying to have peter tell her he's spider-man

the relationship between harry and peter both being abandoned

frankenstein imagery for electro and wolf man imagery for the goblin
Jollem - 8/26/2014, 2:10 PM
peter breaking his promise to capt. stacy had repercussions

one of the saddest and most emotional sequences in a cbm, then it ends on a high note

it was really nice how peter had closure with his father
Jollem - 8/26/2014, 2:14 PM
i'm still at 9.25/10 with it

bring on the sinister six

Dingbat - 8/26/2014, 2:14 PM
Worst movie ever dere der der.

JK. It was alright.
CaptainObvious - 8/26/2014, 2:16 PM
I can't wait for the sequel. Just so I can see more of Peter's loved ones dying just for him to not learn anything and continue to be the most irresponsible superhero ever.
Jollem - 8/26/2014, 2:30 PM

StarYeezus - 8/26/2014, 2:30 PM
Hey @SauronsBANE buddy, could you post the link of that TASM 2 article you wrote? Never got around to finishing it but I remember it had some very good points.
