Good riddance. Let's hope the same occurs with Shazam. These properties deserve more than the mediocrity that is known as New Line Cinema.

Ya'll do know that New Line made all of The Lord of The Rings and Hobbits movies right, so just wanted to put that out their before anyone says something they'll regret.

@Batman52

New Line was also behind Blade and Blade II which MANY people on this site hold in high regard.

This is sad news. My only hope is it will come out on HBO instead of being turned into a movie. Y: The Last Man is ripe for an incredible live action story and I hope it will become a reality soon.

Y? The Last Man to work on this project (Dan Trachtenberg) sounded dedicated. Oh well.

Sadly not gonna happen, but it's hard to sell the story anyway. It's a masterpiece but it's really dark sometimes, with the pussyfication of the studios on make everything PG13 it probably would lost their essence.

Damn, love the comic series so far (I haven't finished all of it yet). I would rather see a mini series on HBO or Netflix

At least the rights are with the creators and considering Shia LaBEouf went insane, probably a good thing he never ended up being in it.

MAybe they could make a really cool TV show out of it now instead... THen they wouldn't have to try cram everything into a movie.

This is good news guys. All the directors I had heard wmattached were decent at best. Everybody knows it should be a TV show, it's the biggest no brained ever.

Without Nightmare on Elm Street, there would be no New Line Cinema.

This article can go to hell. Was hoping this was about the X-Men going back to Marvel or something.

New line is [frick]ing up. This has so much potential to be great. I'm confident someone will pick it up though.

Man that sucks. I guess

I really hope Brian lets someone else take a crack at this.

Personally, I've always thought this would make a better TV series.

Didn't Seth Rogen say months ago in an interview that if he and Evan Goldberg couldn't nab the rights to Preacher that they were going to pursue Y: instead?

If only it was Spidey of F4. I'm fine with X-Men and Avengers being separate I also think it's a bit too late to introduce them into the MCU.

What about the rights to the pornographic adaptation?

I also don't understand the hate with New Line.

I like New Line.
