The potential series revolves around former billionaire playboy Oliver Queen who, after being marooned for five years on a remote island, returns with a mysterious agenda and a lethal set of new skills that he uses in a war on crime.

Collider.com has a larger image, but I can't get the image to load. Maybe you'll have better luck.

“When I directed the pilot for Smallville, I knew that making Clark Kent relatable would be the key to audiences believing in him as a hero,” says the pilot’s director/executive producer David Nutter. “Arrow is a different show — darker and harder-edged — but it’s the same core idea. We’re creating a real, believable world in which Oliver Queen can do incredible things. [Costume designer] Colleen Atwood’s great work on the Arrow costume reflects that effort.”

CW's Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, Katie Cassidy as Dinah “Laurel” Lance, Susanna Thompson as Moira Queen, and David Ramsey as John Diggle.

LMB10 - 3/19/2012, 10:23 AM
Better than I thought he'd look. Nice!
PaulRom - 3/19/2012, 10:24 AM
Very cool. Looking forward to the pilot.
Jolt17 - 3/19/2012, 10:25 AM
Looks pretty cool, although still a bit Smallville-esque, eh?
TonyChu - 3/19/2012, 10:25 AM
That actually does look good!
WolvieCBM - 3/19/2012, 10:27 AM
Eh, it's okay. He looks pretty much the same as in Smallville.

After a second thought, I can see the resemblance between this and Mike Grell's Longbow Hunters look, though.

That's great.
Asterisk - 3/19/2012, 10:30 AM
Jeez...I'm suprised. That looks pretty good!
connor110693 - 3/19/2012, 10:30 AM
i dunno looks slighly fanmade.....suppose it looks okay but this doesnt really make me want to see it...
THABATMAN - 3/19/2012, 10:31 AM
Looks good. Im really hoping this show is good. I need more TV shows to watch. The Walking Dead is not enough
lanternstorm - 3/19/2012, 10:35 AM
DAMNIT!!! I JUST POSTED THIS SCOOP AS WELL AS SOON AS SMALLVILLE'S FACEBOOK PAGE POSTED IT
blvdnoise - 3/19/2012, 10:37 AM
Not too shabby..
Hellsing - 3/19/2012, 10:40 AM
its not bad but its nothing special it looks more or less like the smallville version
LucasMend - 3/19/2012, 10:41 AM
Looks almost the same as in Smallville. I don't have any interest on this show anyway so well.
Spidey91 - 3/19/2012, 10:47 AM
it's modern and a bit Robin Hood-ish at the same time, nice
superotherside - 3/19/2012, 10:57 AM
Hmmm... interesting. Only four arrows though? :P

It looks actually kinda cool, I'm just not sold yet. Perhaps a trailer will convince me.
SwingsetKnight - 3/19/2012, 10:58 AM
Looks a bit less fanciful than the Smallville version, actually. Definitely more of the Robin Hood vibe, less of the flashy superhero. The hood and leather are the same, but otherwise the outfit's not so very similar.
jimoakley666 - 3/19/2012, 11:02 AM
Nice design. Looks like he's wearing shades under the hood. I think I can make out the very bottom of a red lense.
NextHero08 - 3/19/2012, 11:05 AM
"We’re creating a real, believable world in which Oliver Queen can do incredible things." Ok, how you gonna do that with those lame arrows and that stick he calls a bow? For this day and age, a "real" Green Arrow would have much better and believable tech, um, kinda like the stuff in Smallville. You can only do so much with a regular bow and arrow.
lalosuper3001 - 3/19/2012, 11:06 AM
Costume looks cool! Very "Smallville", but the soft fabric hood makes it better. And is that a goatee I see??
OdinsBeard - 3/19/2012, 11:07 AM
the bow is making it's comeback in 2012. hawkeye, arrow, hunger games...
l0rdleg0las - 3/19/2012, 11:07 AM
looks god, but i still am not all that excited for this. i would rather get that Supermax movie.
TheSoulEater - 3/19/2012, 11:12 AM
Huh...

@OdinsBeard Don't forget BRAVE
Linta - 3/19/2012, 11:17 AM

RocketMadnessBoss - 3/19/2012, 11:19 AM
Very nice.
nailbiter111 - 3/19/2012, 11:19 AM
thanks for that link Wolvie. Is anyone having any luck loading that Collider link?
HelaGood - 3/19/2012, 11:21 AM
ok... works for me! but, its still CW... im not thinking itll be awesome, but he looks good in the pic.
HelaGood - 3/19/2012, 11:22 AM
i wonder if between this and Hawkeye in the Avengers if there will be an archery boom...???
gandalf550 - 3/19/2012, 11:24 AM
Doesn't look too bad by any means. Hope the series last longer than the failed Aquaman pilot (which was pretty decent imo).
marvel72 - 3/19/2012, 11:32 AM
it looks alright,it'll just be the show that turns out shit.
JDUKE25 - 3/19/2012, 11:34 AM
Looks better than the Smallville look. Still....the show will probably turn out to be crap, but who knows.
headlopper - 3/19/2012, 11:35 AM
Nice to see that he's at least NOT using a compound bow...which is cheating as far as I'm concerned.
write33 - 3/19/2012, 11:37 AM
I like it....looks good and realistic, except the bow? shouldn't it be a compound bow for power? that one seems purely 'hollywood" and not realistic.

but eh, i'm no archer, so I may be off.
write33 - 3/19/2012, 11:38 AM
@headlopper

LOL. just saw your post after mine.........curious, why is that cheating?
headlopper - 3/19/2012, 11:42 AM
Recurve or long bow is a REAL man's bow.

Archery skills...damn!

AlexDeLarge87 - 3/19/2012, 11:45 AM
I hope this series is good cause the costume definitely looks badass. I hope its more action oriented than Smallville.
GiftedYoungster - 3/19/2012, 11:47 AM
Never watched Smallville, but the costume is cool. He should have a sleeveless variant of the same design.
Fogs - 3/19/2012, 11:50 AM
Nice outfit, but I'm hoping this is NOTHING like Smallville.
FoxForce5 - 3/19/2012, 11:54 AM
Better look than I was expecting. Guess I'll really have to hold off any judgment till after it actually airs.
ManofSteelo - 3/19/2012, 11:57 AM
Nice costume, DUMB show.

Next!!
nailbiter111 - 3/19/2012, 12:06 PM
No MoonKnight that isn't correct. Katie Cassidy is playing the character that in the comics becomes the Black Canary, but the show has at NO point said Black Canary will be in the series.
SUPERSHADOWBAT - 3/19/2012, 12:08 PM
Definitely a variation of the Longbow Hunter, Smallville and present day comic book version. I hope it is an edgy and more action oriented show. I would give it a shot.
BIGBMH - 3/19/2012, 12:13 PM
Not quite as tacky as the Smallville suit, although I think it made sense that Hartley's version used a more advanced bow.
SHHH - 3/19/2012, 12:14 PM
Best Part Of Smallville Was Green Arrow..
BlueMex - 3/19/2012, 12:17 PM
looks ok
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 3/19/2012, 12:17 PM
Badass. Though this looks awesome, cant say if the show will be.
TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 3/19/2012, 12:18 PM
Hmmm. Does anyone else think the leather styles jacket with the sleeves would hinder his arch? No way you could get a could pose while wearing that motorcycle jacket, other than that, it's ok. Don't see how audiences will care for the show though.
thedude2936 - 3/19/2012, 12:19 PM
the costume looks pretty good
Stumblin - 3/19/2012, 12:21 PM
Just what the world needed, more Smallville-esque shows.
Watcher - 3/19/2012, 12:24 PM
@ Gambitfreak: They have ways of making leather garments both light and flexible.

Anyway I basically hate CW, but I will give this show a chance.
