When Michael Bay said, "These turtles are from an alien race" the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' fans erupted in anger like I haven't seen since additional Watchmen comic books were announced. Over the past few days co-creator Peter Laird, voice actors, and live-action actors have all given their opinions on the matter, and today we have comic book artist Jim Lawson. He has taken to his Facebook page and has posted some new sketches poking fun at Michael Bay's comments.

"Hey Michael Bay - Them's bombs!" - Jim Lawson

Jim Lawson: "After a generations old war between their species draws to a close, the Shredulonians and the Turtles bring their latest battle to Earth..."

"Earth has got the hottest chicks."

"Just give me a walk-on role as an innocent bystander that the building falls on in the climatic final battle scene (with explosions)!"

Jim Lawson is an American comic book artist best known for his work on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. For more than 20 years he was the author and artist of TMNT comics, but in 2009 he announced that he's departing from TMNT. - Wikipedia

thanos83 - 3/22/2012, 10:02 AM
Bay and platinum dunes must be spreading bribes around like there's no tomorrow to try and spin this alien shit like its a bold new direction for the franchise. The real Kicker about this is that bay has made enough money for the "right" people in hollywood to not really care what any of the fans say at this point.Money talks and bullshit walks
StrangerX - 3/22/2012, 10:02 AM
OMG don't give Bay any ideas.

WolvieCBM - 3/22/2012, 10:10 AM
What is this? Every person associated with TMNT now gives their thoughts on a film they don't even work on? Looking forward to hearing from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze extra #4 then.

The last four Alien turtles of their species have fled to Earth because their home planet was destroyed by Kang the Konquerer. Arriving to Earth, they know full well they are no match for Kang's forces which are soon to come destroy the Earth on their trail... unless... unless they learn KUNG FU!!! So quickly they research Earth's "historical records" (Movies) and head straight for Keanu Reeves' crib. Unfortunately, all they found was his pet rat. But their logic dictates that the rat has absorbed Keanu's Kung Fu through photographic memory. They then proceed to circle the rat's cage and squirt their male turtle ooze all over the rat, mutating him into their new found master. Together they fled into the sewers to build their HQ under the concrete rug of the humans. But little did they know, Keanu would come back and find his rat's empty cage covered in radioactive alien turtle ooze. He took no chances and started to lick every drop of it to then mutate into... THE SUPER SHREDDER!!!!!

[frick] you Bay.
TheHitchhikingGhost - 3/22/2012, 10:45 AM
Wake me when this tired-ass story runs its course.
Shaman - 3/22/2012, 10:46 AM
Did i say Kang? I meant Krang. Also [frick] you Bay.
plasticman - 3/22/2012, 10:49 AM
Why can't you all get on the T.A.I.N.T bandwagon? This idea could work if and only if the ooze is what is coming from outerspace.
dav1dca1n - 3/22/2012, 10:59 AM
haha the turtle ship looks like Tor the shuttlezord from the old school power rangers show

dav1dca1n - 3/22/2012, 11:00 AM
i fail at posting pictures... i am disappoint.
AxlKomix - 3/22/2012, 11:00 AM
I'm not a big fan of Lawson's art, but he was a big part of TMNT and I admire him coming out against Bay's concept. We already heard a sarcastic reply from Laird; I still want to here what Kevin Eastman thinks of all of this.
headlopper - 3/22/2012, 11:09 AM
That looks like Captain Olimar's ship in the 'Pikmin' video game.

Mr.Bay FTW.
95 - 3/22/2012, 11:10 AM
Eh, if studios want to dish out money to make it- fine. If it looks good- I'll see it. But Director Liebesmen makes the most boring high budget films. Yawn.
95 - 3/22/2012, 11:11 AM
Oh- and LOL to the Shredulodian drawing. That's funny. Don't give them any ideas!!!
StrangerX - 3/22/2012, 11:19 AM
@plasticman-I agree it could work if that was the case.
headlopper - 3/22/2012, 11:25 AM
Turtles were considered holy in the Chow Dynasty of ancient China.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were a form of deity in their religion.

Giant Alien Freak Turtles who were proficient in martial arts and intergalactic space travel were worshiped as gods!

So please...BACK OFF MR.BAY!
(he has one of those crystal thingies!)
Gnyah123 - 3/22/2012, 11:38 AM
i honestly dont even care anymore...
i mean i do but slightly
the only thing THAT CAN NOT happen is this movie being like Transformers...turtles coming to earth to protect a certain human or w/e...the ONLY HUMAN!! they shud come in contact with is the NEWS REPORTER!!! and maybe a bad ass kid other then that they shudnt come to contact with NO ONE!!!
HelaGood - 3/22/2012, 11:46 AM
lame lame lame...
HelaGood - 3/22/2012, 11:49 AM
and this....

thedude2936 - 3/22/2012, 11:50 AM
man thats great, ok so, so far, the fans, ,Robbie Rist(the voice of Michelangelo),Peter Laird, and Jim Lawson all think the idea is frickin stupid, now if only we can get Kevin Eastman, the voice of Leonardo, Elias Koteas, Judith Hoag, the voice of Raphael and Corey Feldman(the voice of Donatello) to voice their opinion
GreyChaos13Zero - 3/22/2012, 11:59 AM
@sKeemAn
I would love too see a Battletoads movie?)
AlexDeLarge87 - 3/22/2012, 12:15 PM
jazz@ I hope they all are against this idea.
ThaMessenger07 - 3/22/2012, 12:25 PM
Yep more of a Battle Toads feel....

The Perfect Bay movie is

xXkryptoniteXx - 3/22/2012, 1:11 PM
Lmao see he is not part of it no more hence why he can say what he really thinks of it. You cant change the origins of the turtles, it's like change spiderman being bit or his an immortal being. Hulk being a parasite attach to Bruce banner and made him the hulk. Remember when they change superman's story in flyby??? This is the same thing.

At least we have a real artist who did this for 20 years with TMNT and now his gone of course from the project. So for sure his not getting paid or bribe for this nor his getting some money from the movie. This is like Dragon Ball Evolution but just with a girl with a bottle figure body, explosions and a high budget cgi.

TANT??? Wtf??? This is not TMNT no more. I can accept the ooze being a alien origin but having a whole race of humanoid turtles and there planet just doesn't make sense. Another thing when he announce that there aliens, he set it up then after he just rush to say there aliens right after. [frick] Bay. I like your transformers because it can work that way but wtf is with the turtles being from a different planet with a race of them???
SpiderSurfer - 3/22/2012, 1:41 PM
i like taint..LOL but its needs an m in there somewhere either after or before a t but then we cant make inappropriate jokes ... what a dilemma
