Gloomy First Set Photos For I, FRANKENSTEIN

Aaron Eckhart's I, Frankenstein has begun filming in Australia. Come take a look at a suburban park that has been transformed into a cemetery.

The movie starring Aaron Eckhart and Miranda Otto began filming in the quiet suburb on Wednesday night. Yesterday the set was deserted, and locals were able to take a peek. Residents have been notified flying scenes, including trapeze stunts, are to be shot next Monday and Tuesday night. The impressively created cemetery includes angel statues, tombstones and a bridge.

I, Frankenstein will be in theaters February 22nd, 2013. The film stars: Aaron Eckhart (The Dark knight, Thank You for Smoking), Bill Nighy (Underworld, Love Actually), Miranda Otto (Lord of the Rings), Yvonne Strahovski (Killer Elite, I love You Too) and Socratis Otto (X-Men Origins: Wolverine).

Cant Wait!! Aaron Eckhart is a damn good actor, his performance as Two Face was way underrated. I wish he was not killed off.

I'm so excited! Recently, I read a very interesting article about Frankenstein's course in the Hammer series, all of which had Peter Cushing in the titular role... I'm glad that this monster of a scientist and his abominable creation still inspire studios for contemporary adaptations, even if the era when these monsters thrived on the big screen seems sometimes to be far from gone...

"Somebody says, 'Do you want to play Frankenstein?' and I was like, 'Well, I haven't thought about it," he said. "Then I read the script. Whenever you read a script that you want to do, you start feeling yourself in that character. All of a sudden your juices start flowing. That's how you know you should do a movie. Now I'm gonna be Frankenstein and I'm kind of worried about it, actually. I've gotta go and figure out how the hell I'm gonna play Frankenstein."

The film tells the modern-day tale of Dr. Frankenstein's creature, Adam, who centuries after his birth, has found himself in a gothic city, caught up in a war between two immortal clans. It is set to hit theaters on February 22nd, 2013.

It definitely has good cast.
