Marvel's The Avengers picks up when an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security. And Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Man, as much as they used helmetless cap in the art, you'd think he'd look that way in at least SOME of the movie!

Also, I am continually amazed by just how RIGHT the Hulk looks! If it took having 3 actors to get to this point, I say it was worth it! Not to mention every new trailer/TV spot has Hulk doing something cooler. So awesome.

Why do people think the ears on caps suit look good? It looks rediculous, IMO I wish they would go with a cloth cowl like the pics but keep the ears covered

This art is total BS! Captain America's ears are showing in every piece. His ears do not show in the movie. Why the inconsistency?!

I'm 100% w/ most of you upset we're not getting a Cap Costume w/ the Ears exposed, but I do like the fact that its a Helmet..perhaps if we mixed the 2, we would be more satisfied. I photoshopped this few days ago, Oh what couldve been

Pintoman, Cap wont get the Ears...& Iron Man's armor has a circle arc reactor because its the Mark VII, the Mark VI is in the beginning of the film & thats the suit w/ the triangle chest piece

I am wondering if maybe he does get a costume change during the movie. One action figure has Caps ears covered and another doesn't. Costumes look identical though, not sure why they would make a variant if its not in the movie.

THING WITH ME IS HEY IF IN THE COMICS FOR GENERATIONS CAP DOESNT COVER HIS EARS, WHY START COVERING THEM? HE'S A SUPERSOLDIER..HE NEEDS ALL HIS SENSES TO FIGHT, WHY EVEN HAVE A HELMET? YOU HAVE A VIBRANIUM SHIELD AND ARE AT THE PEAK OF HUMAN ATHLETICISM

I don't know why it just hit me after looking at his card, but Loki is DEFINITELY using the blue Infinity Gem in his staff, the one for mind control. We know he controls the minds of Hawkeye and Selvig, but in the children's adaptation it also says something in the German Beer Garden to the effect of "and somehow everyone began to bow," implying it was physically against their will. The blue gem also grants the use psionic powers. I'm telling you, it's the blue Infinity Gem.

I really can't wait until this movie comes out...

CPBuff22 I can assure you its probably just a movie mistake. Even though MARVEL is a billion $ company/studio they wont waste time/money on just changing up concept art/promo art. the Concept Artist for the Movie Ryan meinerding said so himself in a Video that they tried the Fabric Cowl look w/ the Ears uncovered, & they probably did alot of designs w/ it, but in the end he said they covered the ears & gave Cap a helmet/mask they resembled the WWII Suit he has in the 1st Movie. I agree w/ most, w/ his ears covered it just looks like a hornless blue version of Daredevil w/ the letter "A" on the forehead. Marvel made the same mistake in IM2, when people started seeing Pics of the new Mark VI it had just gold & red like this

So there you have it, an honest production mistake, its just that Feige & others probably didnt think having ears covered would be such a big Deal

@JonathaNisMagnuM ...yeah we get that there is movie mistakes...but dude look at how theyre putting these wallapers out and all the promo art ..the pics ur showing of iron man are just a few and the pic i have of the cowl its actually in the trailer! its hanging on the wall...and when hes in the shield carrier he has on on his back like a hoodie. also they have made well these that they keep putting out and theres action figures with both variants some with the helmet and some with the cowl mask,did they ever make figures of the mark 6 of both colors one with just gold and one with gold and silver? and did they keep pumping out promo stuff with the cowl mask with what u call movie mistake?

Its not a movie mistake. He's only human and probably thought his ears might get chopped off so decided to cover them up. Iron man goes back to the circular design simply cause Joss Whedon likes it better. These concept artwork were released before the trailer. Its a shame to keep them under lock n key when theyre so amazing.

though i like or i would prefer seeing the Cap's mask exposing the ears i think it's already been decided by the powers that be and discussion on what we would like to see no longer matters as the film might already be finished, well it could be consider in the sequel (if it would turn out really good, well i hope it is). just me saying i'm moving on with the film and on with the countdown just 21 days to go...oh yeah!

was released aropund the same time that Thor came out last yr in May. It was just concept art/design they were doing. Then last yr in July for Comic-Con we got THIS POSTER

THEY CHANGED IT UP DUDE! Yes, the scene you keep alluding to when Cap sees his Suit in the case was shot in New Mexico/Studio last yr before he even suited up & they did on location shooting! We didn't even see a set pic til august 2011 & it was THIS

@JonathaNisMagnuM dude ok maybe your right and im staring to think so to that he wont wear the mask and just the helmet but i still am crossing my fingers...and what about the mask thats hanging on his back in the shield carrier? u can see its a mask with the wings on it....so thats what im hoping it its...anywayz this movie will blow the box office when it opens MAY 4TH! best CBM of the year im calling it now
