The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.


The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field, the films swings into theaters July 3, 2012 in 3D!

so what is the deal? in the trailers he CLEARLY does not have those yellow eyes. Suit has looked a lot better in the videos than on paper.

Someone keeps releasing these promo pics. This is marketing for a movie 9 months away. They still can't find one great slam dunk, home run scene to release. The movie is so bad theyre basically hiding it.

I've been a Spidey fan my whole life and have seen all live action version, grew up as a kid watching the live action show on Saturdays on channel 56 Boston, the same great station that brought us the creature double feature and kung fu theater. But that old school spidey with the little special effects they had is still entertaining to watch today. Even with all the changes they have made for this new movie, spidey's personality and colors for the costume are excellent I doubt this movie will fail, everyone knows and loves spider-man. The only part that sucks are the promo images, as if marketing can't determine a style and look that best represents the tone of the movie.

Here's the thing. This movie WILL NOT FLOP - YOU'RE INSANE IF YOU THINK IT WILL. Kids LOVE Spider-Man more than any other superhero so that alone will guarantee it $300 Million in the states.

They took a pic of the dude squatting down, turned it upside down and it's supposed to look like he's sticking to the ceiling?

The promo pics for this are just awful.

the suit is too shiny... and the eye lenses really don't look like they are hiding the eyes well... worst of all I have no idea on how they'd explain how a kid that is supposedly a junior/senior high school can come up with a suit like that "realistically" with that much detail. It still has that ribbed fruit roll up look.... *sigh* and they went right with another origin story that would take up most of the film in between the new stuff. Hope the story is good despite the cons some die-hard fans are already pointing out. I'm not a hardcore fan but even some of the changes they've made don't sit well with me... will reserve final judgment after I see it.

Seen these before and as long as these aren't movie posters theyre just fine. Most likely are gonna go on toy boxes and or cereal boxes.

it's weird having to say i don't like this set of promo images being a huge Spidey fan but it is even weirder to eat this cr@p. doesn't feel like Spidey at all to me. there's too much bright colored thing going on in that promos (the suit) making it more silly and awful looking in contrast to the film being hinted as more dark and gritty (sounds like Nolan"ites" stuff to me).
it didn't impress me at all, i even know a lot of fellow Spidey fans that are not also excited about this so called "secret origins" blah blah.

and if me having to say my opinion in the negative warrants me an abused alert then just bring it.


it's better that secrets remain as such if it would turn out even more embarrassing than it already is.
