The website tvline.com has the scoop on Mauel, the comic relief.

AMC’s monster hit will be adding to its canvas a recurring character named Manuel, who I’m told is strong, smart, kinda blue-collar and potentially the comic relief that the show has never really had.

That description matches up perfectly with a call sheet that was posted onspoilertv.com.

"MANUEL] 30 to 40, Hispanic, a working class survivor, he is confident, physically skilled, a leader when necessary, capable and smart. Has a terrific sense of humor where you wouldn't expect one. Recurring."

While Spoiler Chat at eonline.com has the scoop on the second addition to the cast. A character that could replace Dale as the moral compass of the group.

Our merry band of survivors will meet up with a guy who's the exact opposite of Shane (RIP). Like Dale (RIP), Harold is "a studious and fastidious man" trying to carve out a postapocalyptic niche for himself. Sounds like he could be a model "prisoner"!

That description also matches up with another call sheet that was posted onspoilertv.com.

"[HAROLD] 40s to early 50s. Male. A studious and fastidious man, trying to create a niche for himself in this new world. Guest star. Recurring"

......................................................

Character that are intended to be funny from the get go can be very tricky. If the humor is natural to the scene I'm all for it, but if it comes of forced than Manuel could be loathed like Jar Jar.

I'm actually not sure why the show needs humor when they have a hysterical character like Lori around. Man that gal is full of laughter. Only person that could get into a car accident with no other cars on the road. Not to mention that time she had me in stitches when she acted all ticked off at Rick for killing Shane. Even though she had strongly insinuated that Sahne needed to meet his maker. Now that was some funny stuff.

The Walking Dead returns for a third season in the fall and will air Sunday nights at 9/8c on AMC. The show stars: Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Laurie Holden, Jeffrey DeMunn, Sarah Wayne Callies, Steven Yeun, Chandler Riggs, Norman Reedus, and Melissa Suzanne McBride.

Goddamn it, why are they pulling this bullshit but leaving out a fan favorite like Tyreese? Unless TDogg really is supposed to be Tyreese. And if thats the case, it makes me want to punch babies.
marvel72 - 5/21/2012, 6:50 PM
tdogg is a f*ckin waste of space,he doesn't do anything but he still lives why is that?
GreenHalJordan - 5/21/2012, 6:56 PM
Tdogg better start doing stuff this season. BRING IN TYREESE!
SuperGeek1990 - 5/21/2012, 6:56 PM
Darryl is my comic relief.
GreyChaos13Zero - 5/21/2012, 6:57 PM
can't wait for season two to be on blu-ray?)
nailbiter111 - 5/21/2012, 6:57 PM
The reason Tdogg is on the show is so that they can at some point in the future promote episode centered around "one of the original cast members will die. tune in and find out who it is." They'll make it look like one of the major players is gonna die, hardly show tdogg and then bam he is dead.
AstroZombie - 5/21/2012, 6:59 PM
Uh oh, this has Jar Jar Binks written all over it.
retr0g0dfather - 5/21/2012, 7:00 PM
Tdogg should die in the premier, that would be a great start to the 3rd season.
FlashFacts - 5/21/2012, 7:02 PM
they're gonna keep tdog around until merle comes back
2gold - 5/21/2012, 7:05 PM

DoctorAlgernopKrieger - 5/21/2012, 7:05 PM

FlashFacts - 5/21/2012, 7:05 PM

Hopefully The Governer does to TDog what he did to Tyreese in the books.
musashi - 5/21/2012, 7:06 PM
Isn't Michonne in this season too? I agree, bring on Tyrese!
Jaspion - 5/21/2012, 7:07 PM
He's alive just so Merle can kill him... at least I hope so.
elcaballerooscuro92 - 5/21/2012, 7:07 PM
so the hispanic guy is the relief, that's kinda racist but i'll allow it
KALel3412 - 5/21/2012, 7:10 PM
i thought i read tyrese was suppose to come this season. if not they are making a huge mistake
KALel3412 - 5/21/2012, 7:12 PM
@ flashfacts, man i hope so. i was butt hurt at what they did to tyrese. one of my favorite parts of the comic is when they find tyrese in the prison gym thinking he was dead but he killed like 50 zombies by himself
Vital - 5/21/2012, 7:42 PM
Wow what's her face is hot in that pic, why doesn't she look like that all the time lol?
Conaan - 5/21/2012, 7:55 PM
I think Tyrese will be in it.. I feel sure.
NosferatuZodd - 5/21/2012, 7:59 PM
i knew it was all down hill from the start of season 2.....*sigh*
LAXtremest - 5/21/2012, 8:12 PM
I second that @Vital
Bandrews1 - 5/21/2012, 8:36 PM
I'm actually ok with them adding some comedic relief to the, it could use it.
Enterlion - 5/21/2012, 8:37 PM
Well, the comic had Axel, and he was kind of funny.
Rodimus9 - 5/21/2012, 9:47 PM
They'll bring in Tyrese and then "T-dog" will get all butt hurt over not being the token black guy and try to be all thug....then get his ass beat by Tyrese and fed to zombies.
Rodimus9 - 5/21/2012, 9:54 PM
Oh yeah, Henry Simmons for Tyrese.

CorndogBurglar - 5/21/2012, 10:15 PM
@ engerlion

I dont know if I woukd call Axel funny, but he was likable. He walked in on Lori and homegirl on the shower then went and manipulated himself before the mental picture left his mind...lol.....on second thought, yeah he was kinda funny. I was upset when he got wasted.
mob7medina - 5/22/2012, 3:56 AM
T-dogg is the token black guy till tyrese shows up
CrowPirate1 - 5/22/2012, 4:28 AM
T-dog is NO Tyresse...

and we don't need any comic relief. I am just waiting to laugh a lot when Lori dies. See? I'm giggling already.
HeadlessJensen - 5/22/2012, 4:36 AM
R.I.P. The Walking Dead...
Rothwilder - 5/22/2012, 5:25 AM
This show keeps getting worse. One good episode out of maybe six.
TheHydraTakeover - 5/22/2012, 5:26 AM
It was already confirmed that Tyresse would be in The Walking Dead ya cry babies. I have a feelimg tha T-dogg will turn into a very, very important character.
brewtownpsych - 5/22/2012, 5:31 AM
noooooooooo! soooo, it's going to be a parody of itself like the avengers. okay then.
MadTitan - 5/22/2012, 7:25 AM
whatever it is i'm still awaiting for this great series to return...
CrowPirate1 - 5/22/2012, 7:41 AM
Btw, met Reedus at a Boondock Saints signing in New Jersey. both were there, but he had some Walking Dead photos, so I got that instead. He was pretty cool, and very laid back. My nephew posed for a shot with him for his camera, and Norman gave the camera a big middle finger. lol. course, my nephew sent it out to the whole family and made it his background. I still have aunts wondering why he sent a f-u to them.
CaptainObvious - 5/22/2012, 12:38 PM
T-Dog is the most useless character on the show. He disappears for several episodes and when he does come back, he contributes nothing. The fact that he made it to season 3 is beyond me.
Rodimus9 - 5/23/2012, 10:15 PM
T-Dawg is going to get an infection from shooting smack like he did back in the projects and the infection will cause him to turn. Thug Zombie fo life!
