A bit of a scoop to go with the videos. The guy that posted both videos reveals in the comment section that he was told by a representative of the game that Andrew Garfield is not voicing Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the game. Take it with a grain of salt, although I tend to lean toward believing him.

Go beyond the movie to experience what it’s like to BE Spider-Man like never before. Set shortly after the events of Columbia Pictures’ new film, The Amazing Spider-Man throws New York City’s brand new hero back into free-roaming, web-slinging action, as he protects the Big Apple from a deluge of unimaginable threats. Experience the new Web Rush mechanic as Spidey twists his way through the NYC skyline with unprecedented speed and grace. The game’s original story also explores beautiful indoor environments, as you’ll encounter everything from skirmishes with everyday street thugs to pulse-pounding confrontations with Spider-Man’s most lethal foes.

Destroyer7 - 6/1/2012, 7:53 PM
gameplay looks good
Sosa4693 - 6/1/2012, 7:59 PM
I got a really bad feeling about this. The camera doesnt look good, precisely why the other spidey games have failed from getting great reviews
MarsivNayr - 6/1/2012, 8:00 PM
"Oh for the love of the lord(world?)" Lol

Yeah this looks fuggin great. Reserved.
MarsivNayr - 6/1/2012, 8:03 PM
@sosa

The camera seems fine. It'll probably work even better in tighter spots, where cameras always tend to spaz and fail the gamer.

Oh and Spider-man Shattered Dimensions did get great reviews. Edge of Time was more mixed. (I don't think it was 'cause of the camera though….)
MidNightWind - 6/1/2012, 8:03 PM
if it's not Josh keaton or Andrew Garfield then who is voicing spidey anyway? also gameplay looks cool.
ibravosp5 - 6/1/2012, 8:04 PM

TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 6/1/2012, 8:18 PM
Camera is still a little iffy, but this is gonna be hella fun!

Can't wait for the movie and game!

thewolfx - 6/1/2012, 8:19 PM
im excited for this game and i dont think theres much wrong with the game as opposed to people never seein spiderman swing this close up before it does look kinda odd due to that but i msure after an hour ud get used to it .

and andrew not voicing his spiderman is soo weak . tobey did it why cant he .
KingLing - 6/1/2012, 8:38 PM
I feel like it was less that the camera was bad and more that the guy just wasn't very good at controlling it. He looked like he'd never swung in a spiderman game before. It was hard to see the combat, but it looked really, really good.
Jables - 6/1/2012, 8:39 PM
reminds me of the camera from "Skate"

fuuuuuuukkkkkkkkkkkkkk im pissed why andrew why ? cant u voice a character you love so much
INFO - 6/1/2012, 8:53 PM
btw the game looks (frick)in awsome
TheBigBoss917 - 6/1/2012, 9:08 PM
This game will probably have the best swing mechanics
TrueRedBlue - 6/1/2012, 9:29 PM
Whoa! The close-up backshot really does make a difference!
Mrcool210 - 6/1/2012, 9:33 PM
wait how can it be in the same movie universe if they dont get the actor playing him in the movie to voice him in the game
Mrcool210 - 6/1/2012, 9:35 PM
ANDREW GARFIELD PLAYING SPIDER-MAN OR GTFO
LoisMustDie - 6/1/2012, 9:44 PM
I cant WAIT for this fuggin shib
fanboy03191 - 6/1/2012, 9:53 PM
Game looks great, and as far as Andrew not voicing Spidey, it could be a scheduling conflict. But if Andrew's not, I'll take Josh Keaton over anyone. He's to Spider-Man what Kevin Conroy is to Batman. Well, for me I have like five favorite Spider-Man voice actors.
MidNightWind - 6/1/2012, 9:55 PM
@VenomSpawn I'll believe that when I hear it.
TimL - 6/1/2012, 9:56 PM
I'm not so worried about Garfield not voicing Peter, I'm more worried about Emma Stone NOT VOICING GWEN STACY...!

And I'm pretty sure she wont.
HeyVanity - 6/1/2012, 9:58 PM
That looks incredible. I love the camera angle. It really puts you in the action.
HeyVanity - 6/1/2012, 10:01 PM
I just hope that they've updated the fighting mechanics to something a little more Arkham-esque.
FriendlyNeighborhoodSpidey - 6/1/2012, 10:45 PM
@fanboy03191 I agree. I also kinda like Niel Patrick Harris as spidey and whoever voiced him in ultimate alliance 2. Not the first one, the second one. But so far I think Josh Keaton has been the best.
FriendlyNeighborhoodSpidey - 6/1/2012, 10:46 PM
And the guy who voiced him in the ultimate spider man video game wasn't bad either, but I think he would only work for a younger spidey.
TimL - 6/1/2012, 10:52 PM
@FriendlyNeighborhoodSpidey: Please not that guy. He did a good job for the small skiny kid Spider-Man, but I rather want a more mature one like Keaton voicing the movie one.
I absolutely hate it when Spider-Man has a high whistle voice and sounds like a retarded 12 year old kid.
MidNightWind - 6/1/2012, 11:11 PM
You guys don't think spider-man is voice by (gulp) Drake bell?
spidey1994 - 6/1/2012, 11:34 PM
Why isn't Andrew Garfield voicing Spider-Man? Would of made sense for him to do it.
iMVuze - 6/1/2012, 11:48 PM
@ironspider12
I don't get how people like you complain about the little things such as where the web goes. Are you serious? Do you seriously spend 60 dollars on a Spider-Man game based on whether or not his web sticks to buildings?
TimL - 6/2/2012, 12:06 AM
They wanted it to stick to buildings but they decided to not always have it stick to buildings for the best experience (just play Spider-Man 3 and you know what I mean, it sometimes looks really bad when he swings sideways...).
Rhino4508 - 6/2/2012, 12:19 AM
@Mrcool210

Think of it like this. Christian Bale plays a great Batman on screen; however, the Batman voice that fans see as Batman for the games and animated features is Kevin Conroy.
Not saying this guy is as recognizable as Conroy, just that since he has voiced Spidey so much recently it seems the right way to go with it.
ezio619 - 6/2/2012, 4:18 AM
guys, just a little side note: i am watching the new avengers emh episode with spider man and so far it sounds like he is voiced by drake bell and he is actually doing a good job.
AlexDeLarge87 - 6/2/2012, 4:23 AM
Swinging around the city looks fun but graphics, fighting system and the city itself would need much more work. Looks so cheap.
And why Spidey doesnt walk like normal people?!
AlexDeLarge87 - 6/2/2012, 4:23 AM
He had the same problem in Shattered Dimensions.
MB007 - 6/2/2012, 4:58 AM
Uhm, this was sometimes pretty awesome, but sometimes just bad!

I already pre-orderd it, so we'll see... :-)
CaptainAmerica31 - 6/2/2012, 6:49 AM
If Andrews not voicing spider-man then Sony has to be the biggest assholes. Their paying the guy 500 grand only for this first film. I don't mind Sony but they really are treating Andrew Garfield bad if they don't let him voice Spidey and only pay him 500 grand for a film that's sure to make a box office killing.
SebHope - 6/2/2012, 8:05 AM
@spidey31 i dont think their stopping him from voicing it, it probably just clashed with something else he was contracted to do.

Also in terms of money its not unusual to pay less for the first in a franchise incase it does flop at the boxoffice which im sure spidey wont plus garfields not a huge star yet, but it dosent matter anyway because if it does do huge money at the boxoffice he'll get paid backends and bonuses of nearly 1 million anyway. Plus if its huge he'll get the big bucks for the sequel!
Boyle360 - 6/3/2012, 3:20 PM
I was briefly talking to Josh Keaton, he said he hasn't done any work on the ASM video game. :/
