The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field, the films swings into theaters July 3, 2012 in 3D!

So you can believe that Peter Parker gets bitten by a genetic altered spider and get spider-powers to websling all over New York City, but you can't believe that Peter Parker after getting his powers is capable of becoming a hell of a good skater? I am a nerd. Just like all of you. I am skinny, I've been awkward with girls without looking like a social retarded like Tobey played Peter, I listen to music and god damn, do I suck at skating, but at least I've tried my way with it. I actually injured my knee badly trying to do stuff that I clearly don't have the skills for it.

Peter Parker always had a punk rock do it yourself attitude about him. Hell, that's the reason that Ramones covered his cartoon theme. Nerds listen to music, not only videogame music. We are at the 21st century, if some of you haven't noticed yet.

This is clearly a good opportunity to use that "How nerds see themselves" meme featuring Rivers Cuomo.

As for the post above mine:

The Lizard looks more bad ass than Bane and Loki. Together. And I'm a huge fan of Loki, not so much of midget Bane.

@riseofLOGANX36 - We've seen the dopey, self-aware, tongue in cheek Spider-man for 8 year olds. Three times in fact.

After that I welcome a new approach aimed at an older audience with open arms.

Who knows? Maybe you'll get another corny Spider-man again after we get our first grounded version. Then you guys can stop crying about not having a fourth corny movie. Boo hoo.
