They should bring back Sam Worthington as a Foot leuitenant.
And Maryy Elizabeth Winstead would be a perfect April O'Neil. Just check out The Thing.
Jolt17 - 6/17/2012, 6:27 AM
Well...in a Michael Bay film, even April O'Neil might be just a random hot chick. :P Good to know that The Raid can be some sort of an inspiration, at the very least.

Video#1: I can't believe the video cut out right at the end before the guy was going to smash the thug's head on the door step.
Video#2: Jet Li won because he had shoes on.
jazzman - 6/17/2012, 6:29 AM
@DukeAcureds

WTF are u joking. when was Sam Worthington even a Foot leuitenant LOL.

wrong guy that was Sam Rockwell that was in the first TMNT movie LOL. plus he was just a Head Thug not a Foot leuitenant that role belong to Toshishiro Obata as Tatsu.
DukeAcureds - 6/17/2012, 6:34 AM
@Jazzman
Seriously, he was the main street gang guy that jumped April at the beginning and is featured throughout, working for the Foot.
He's the guy who's all "Regular or menthol?" and "We got a loyalty to the Shredder...We're a family"
"Anything you guys wanna do... do it. Know what I'm saying? Anything."
Seen that film far too many times.
DukeAcureds - 6/17/2012, 6:35 AM
Oh yeah, Rockwell. That's what I meant. Same thing. One's bigger.
kemuael - 6/17/2012, 6:37 AM

BrickWall - 6/17/2012, 7:01 AM
Surely Ken Watanabe has to be Splinter not Shredder
Danbojohnj - 6/17/2012, 7:02 AM
How about getting inspired by fu*king NINJUTSU!
Ninja Turtles not Kung Fu aliens or Silat amphibians.
INSTANTJUSTICE - 6/17/2012, 7:02 AM
Has that fella got a fungus infection uder his chin.
DukeAcureds - 6/17/2012, 7:03 AM
The interviewer is a bit much.
Godzillafart - 6/17/2012, 7:03 AM
@kiama & Danbojohnj: Riiiiiggggghhht. Because they have always been depicted as using the fighting style of rebelling farmers.
EditNinja - 6/17/2012, 7:03 AM
They WISH they could do The Raid choreography!
DukeAcureds - 6/17/2012, 7:05 AM
"Hi. I'm a robot on mdma. I'm completely fake. There's too much mandy in my gums."
(that's the interviewer).
DukeAcureds - 6/17/2012, 7:07 AM
Maybe they're like farming nyborg on pluto, or something.
Godzillafart - 6/17/2012, 7:08 AM
@EditNinja: Right on! If they could pull off The Raid action it might make this certain POS worth watching.
kisama - 6/17/2012, 7:10 AM
@godzillafart: actually most ninja were more than likely samurai. and the only one of them to actually have a weapon used by the ninja would be michealangelo, the rest are karate weapons. but still nothing about this movie is right. it's a complete bastarization.
DukeAcureds - 6/17/2012, 7:11 AM
Ninja were drag queens.
kisama - 6/17/2012, 7:11 AM
*bastardization
CaptainObvious - 6/17/2012, 7:13 AM
Knowing Bay, he'll probably cast some super model who can't act her way out of a paper bag to play April because he's a chauvinistic pig. I also don't believe Bay is inspired by any film. If anything, he blatantly rips off other movies.
DukeAcureds - 6/17/2012, 7:14 AM
So, they're not teenagers, they're not mutants, they're not ninjas and they are not the earth species known as turtles?
BattlinMurdock - 6/17/2012, 7:15 AM
Of course. Let's just pick the extremely successful martial arts movie of the past year and use it as inspiration.

"Oh, no. Our movie is going to be good, because we're modeling it after The Godfather."

"Oh, no. Our style is different because we're trying to replicate the tone of Nolan's Batman films."

Use source material for modeling, when it's an adaptation you're making. Good grief. Stop abandoning the home of your projects just because another movie in the same vein worked.
DukeAcureds - 6/17/2012, 7:16 AM
Michael Bay's Batman would have a dog kennel instead of a batcave, wear a dog costume instead of a bat costume and be a female moth.
AlexDeLarge87 - 6/17/2012, 7:17 AM
I think he meant they are going to make it intense (like Raid) and funny (like Fist of Legend).
If he meant something else. Then he is just stupid.

Anyway if the Turtles come from far away planet and are going to practice Wushu and kickboxing (or whatever that fighting style was in the Raid) im going to download it from internet.
DukeAcureds - 6/17/2012, 7:18 AM
When they started to develop this movie, they hired the writers of The Kingdom and kept saying it would be like the beginning of Batman Begins. They were the big martial things of that year.
DukeAcureds - 6/17/2012, 7:19 AM
* martial arts things
marvel72 - 6/17/2012, 7:21 AM
the raid is a good little movie, brutal in places.
DukeAcureds - 6/17/2012, 7:34 AM
Okay so Bay's raping the TMNT. But he's been doing this for a few months, now and he'll be doing it well into 2014, so I'm gonna have to stop resisting and learn to enjoy it. I am warming to Eastman's new TMNT comic. Y'all should check it out. It's aaiiight.
SCURVYDOG619 - 6/17/2012, 7:36 AM
Motion-captured Turtles? Does this mean Ray Park's got another gig?
figuresmaniac - 6/17/2012, 7:37 AM
Yeah, the Raid rocks!
AlexDeLarge87 - 6/17/2012, 7:39 AM
Things i want to see in the movie.

- Alien chemical Ooze (came from the Utroms) change normal turtles into turtle mutants.
- Same chemical change Hamato Yoshi or a normal rat into a rat mutant.
- The Shredder as the villain with Baxter Stockman (the original robotmaker). Would be awesome to see him change into a monstrous mutant fly too thou.
- Hint of a Krang and other Utroms.
- Rocksteady and Bebop and MAYBE Hun with the red dragon thugs as Shredder´s henchmen.
- Casey Jones and April O´neil as Turtles friends.
- MAYBE Karai as Shredder´s right hand.
DukeAcureds - 6/17/2012, 7:43 AM
AlexDeLarge@ Purple dragons.
GreyChaos13Zero - 6/17/2012, 7:46 AM

AlexDeLarge87 - 6/17/2012, 8:01 AM
Duke@ Oops!
DeadPoolLax - 6/17/2012, 8:06 AM
i think the style of fighting that they are choosing can open up a more comical fighting style, just as in the jet li clip he is grabbing ears, mouths, and moving real close to his opponents face. i can see why they are choosing this style of fighting. i'm looking forward to seeing what Bay does. I didn't think he did a terrible job on the transformers movies; it'll be interesting to see what he does on TMNT... i mean ninja turtles
ThePowerCosmic - 6/17/2012, 8:12 AM
Things i would like to see in a TMNT movie quadrilogy:

- The Ratking. Not the cartoon version, the mirage version. A creepy sewer Phantom stalker. Not in the first film but posssible villain for the sequel. Revealed at the end of the first movie discovering the turtles sewer lair. Rats pouring in from every direction!

- Utrom race, not Krang.

- Baxter stockman, mousers working with Shredder

- 1st movie origin. 2nd movie vs. Ratking. 3rd movie Triceraton planet story arc. 4th movie Return to NY story. This would be the perfect film series for me as a Huge TMNT mirage fan.
driver - 6/17/2012, 8:24 AM
Now they going to say everything to not loose peoples attention(especially when movie is get delayed).
supermarioworldE - 6/17/2012, 8:56 AM
I don't know how four turtles whose only source of nutrients is pizza, could be agile enough to perform martial arts in the first place.
soforizo - 6/17/2012, 9:00 AM
Lol! Yeah, let's pick two great flicks and talk how yours is inspired by them. It's not the brightest idea to raise expectations on this movie, gives us a trailer and then talk.
AlexDeLarge87 - 6/17/2012, 9:40 AM
ThePowerCosmic@ The Rat King would be awesome villain.

Another creature which would be badass on the big screen is Bloodsucker. I would actually replace Rocksteady and Bebop with him.
He would work well as Stockman´s little mutant experiment.
He creates it from Raphael´s blood, normal leech and ooze.
CharlesTheIncredible - 6/17/2012, 9:55 AM
the raid was epic as hell so thats kinda good to know that this abomination is gonna be inspired by that...still greatly depressing
DukeAcureds - 6/17/2012, 10:08 AM
Bloodsucker was cool. I love how Raph mews through the whole thing. More reason for MEW to be April, I think.
Rat King would be cool, but only if they did a final film based on City At War, where Rat King's ghost helps Splinter survive.
Ranger14 - 6/17/2012, 10:44 AM
"Lol! Yeah, let's pick two great flicks and talk how yours is inspired by them."

He didn't say that the film was going to be inspired by them. He said the fighting style would be inspired by them, which I have no challenge with. It's I don't get what the big deal is with that. Do people want Bay to create a whole new fighting style for the the film or draw inspiration from existing styles? There's literally thousands of different martial arts films they could use for identifying a workable fighting style and they chose two excellent films to draw the fighting from. It's smart as far as I am concerned.
