Updated! Check out over a half-hour of The Amazing Spider-Man video game. I'm issuing a spoiler alert because the game picks up where the movie left off.

Go beyond the movie to experience what it’s like to BE Spider-Man like never before. Set shortly after the events of Columbia Pictures’ new film, The Amazing Spider-Man throws New York City’s brand new hero back into free-roaming, web-slinging action, as he protects the Big Apple from a deluge of unimaginable threats. Experience the new Web Rush mechanic as Spidey twists his way through the NYC skyline with unprecedented speed and grace. The game’s original story also explores beautiful indoor environments, as you’ll encounter everything from skirmishes with everyday street thugs to pulse-pounding confrontations with Spider-Man’s most lethal foes.

Yes you get to know what happens to certain characters and so on.

The gameplay was good but the dialogue and story was awful... and how did he just appear in his suit? Was he walking around with his spiderman costume on?

They couldn't have picked a better voice actor for Spider-Man? This guy sounds like every background cartoon character I've ever heard. At least give him some personality beyond "White Guy #3". Still, the game mechanics look awesome.

Glad they finally realized that an essential part of a good superhero game is showing a little favor to the rich history and varied looks of the character (or his clones).

the combat system seems to work a lot like arkham asylum/city. looks good

You shouldn't be able to web swing unless you're near a building, Spideys web just going vertical into the sky. smh.

looks good but im gonna miss josh keaton voice for sure i wonder when will we be able to change costume i hope you dont have to play the entire game with that stupid belt on !!

i guess the spoiler is that peter parker is a cross species? and all the bad guys (vulture, rhino, scorpion, etc.) are all cross species as well. not really grounded in reality, nor comics. this kind of turns me off to the movie....

Hmm, how much of a spoiler is in these plathroughs? Really want to watch them, but at the same time, I don't want to be spoiled (seeing as how this game is after TASM). :)

it looks like a poor attempt at arkham city,the voices suck gwen looks nothing like emma stone, its looks difficult to play, i mean this dude has been going around for like 8 minutes and hasnt taken down all the guys he just keeps jumpin over there heads i dotn wanna knock it till i play it but im not that impressed although i like the look of the villians

The game looks great and Peter's voice is fine. It was a scheduling conflict. And all of you who were keeping tabs on the game knew it was based on cross species, so shut up and stop complaining. PUMPED!

I think the game looks great to me compared to the last few Spider-Man games aside from Shattered Dimensions. I just really think that they should have just made their own Spider-Man game separate from the movie story if they weren't going to get Emma Stone or Andrew Garfield to be involved. I mean, they could have had them sit around a conference phone to do their lines for an hour or so and then clean the audio up in post.

So the Rhino and Scorpian are animals with human DNA added to them now? And I always thought they were were humans stuck in special suits.

No it DOES spoil the movie in a few ways. I cant tell you what its going to spoil or what type of spoiler it is because you immediately know then what happens and expect it in the movie.

Trust me, there are certain spoilers (regarding characters and so on...) but you will have to live with that.

Wow. This game must be amazing if all people complain about is the fact that webs don't connect to buildings(Which if they did it would ruin the whole flow of momentum when there are no buildings around). Can't wait to play this masterpiece.

as the devs have stated about 50 times the webs are the exact same as web of shadows meaning the webs connect to buildings when they can and any other time it connects to the sky for gameplay reasons. unless you have played the game you can't you say the web mechanics suck you have not had the pad in your hand controlling him while he is swinging

I'm not 100% sure, but I think Spider-Man 3 had the building requirement for web swinging. It made the controls wonky and annoying.
