The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field, the films swings into theaters July 3, 2012 in 3D!

It's not the amount of trailers that ruin a movie. It's all these features and clips they release.

Watched the first 3 minutes of the first clip then stopped. I feel like the whole clip would give away the entire movie.

I'm not watching any of this stuff. I know I'll enjoy seeing Spidey on the big screen, but the marketing on this reeks of desperation.

Does Sony know when to quit releasing new footage? The movie comes out a week from today. If people can wait 5 years for another Spider-Man movie, then 1 more week won't hurt. With all these clips and features, might as well put the entire film online.

I agree with your last point. I don't know why, but I get the feeling this is going to be the Green Lantern of 2012.

Nonono I don't think this will be another green lantern. If anything it will be another x men first class. It'll do much better then people will expect. Let's face it. It's Spiderman! And after the Spiderman 3 fiasco I think people are desperate for another Spiderman to redeem itself. Everybody loves Spiderman and everyone will see it

Hope his costume gets destroyed so badly in the sequel that he has to make a new one. Enter the original costume from comics.

i watched that 25 minute preview somebody did on this site and i literally got bored half way through it ... NO reason to see this movie in the theaters. i don't care what critics say (well maybe on this site) but from what i have seen it looks like more run of the mill hollywood mediocrity.

Dmmit, why do all these movies always have spideys identity being exposed on a subway. I hated how everyone in spidey 2 was like 'dont worry spiderman, we wont tells nobody'. As if a train full of loud mouth new yorkers would keep that a secret.

I got it....IF, they want to include Spidey into the Marvel/Disney continuum, it is really simple to do. Just have the start of Iron Man 1 through the Avengers happen AFTER Spiderman 2. Spiderman 2 being the death of Gwen Stacey that drives Peter Parker away from New York to hang up his tights...(that's why Spidey wasn't around when Loki took on Manhattan) BUT after the events of the Avengers, seeing what happened to his city, it draws him back because he realizes he is still needed...HA! Simple!

Something about the acting of that car thief scene is just off to me. Garfield voiced it like a jerk, not sarcastically.

Rest looks good though.

Why can't some people just calm down. I don't think this can be the green lantern of the year, green lantern got bad reviews, this film is getting good reviews. So why are people saying it will be the green lantern? If some people are saying " the best comicbookmovie of all time" and others" better than the avengers" then I guess we can say it will be better than the green lantern considering the fact that some made statements like that. Sure it's your opinion, but if you have proof of how good a film is(thus far) then you should at least take that into consideration rather than ignoring it and making statements like " I feel like this will be the green lantern of the year". It's not gonna make the movie fail and the rights will never go back to marvel as long as Sony has it and makes the movies and spider-man is a pop culture icon I can't see it happen any time soon so don't hold your breathe.

I only follow what the critics say because if this film does bad then I won't see Spidey on screens for a long time:( I don't want that to happen. Trust me if the first movie does bad then the second one will also be bad its how it works. I hope it moves up, but if it fails then it goes back to Marvel Studios which is good? IDK marvel studios only cares about making an avengers movie more than an individual character thus the films always do barley above average. I like marvel studios it's just there movies are corny because Disney likes to interfere, why do you think almost none of the directors return?IDK if it's at least at a 89% I'll be fine Becuase BB was 85% and you know the next movie was probably the best movie of all time.

IGN doesn't know a camera to a microphone when it comes to films. Giving GHOST RIDER a 8/10 doesn't make them better.... It isnt doomed, all the bad reviews are Bias because they compare the movie the Raimi films, and say the action isn't as good as THE AVENGERS....

So stupid. Human emotion and charetcer development> Mindless action. This is Spider-Man in an origin story not a spectacle team of hero's fighting the city for Aliens.

As long as the biggest problem for those "critics" is that it's a reboot I don't care...I'll wait at least to see some rotten review from "Top Critics".

There are critics that hate the fact that it's a reboot but still give it a fresh rating, others that actually let that get in the way give it a rotten rating. I suspect this films final score(hopefully) will be 85%+

@thewolfx we don't know that yet, it's only getting rotten reviews based off it being a reboot. The only legitimate critique has been its pacing thus far. So I would say those reviewers who gave it rotten are butthurt reboot haters.

Oh yeah, and there are over 50 positive reviews compared to the mere 7 negatives, all only complaining about the similar origin. So yeah, too bad for you.
