Animator Robb Pratt wowed us with his first animated Superman short, and now he is back with his sophomore effort. Actor John Newton, who played the Boy of Steel in the live-action television series The Adventures of Superboy once again lends his voice for Superman. John also pulls double duty as Bizarro, and his wife is back as the voice of Lois Lane. Make sure to stick around after the credits to see some great behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the animated short.

Below is the original that started it all.

Playing the "peril" music in reverse is a nice touch. Snyder should do that if Bizarro shows up in MOS2...

This is awesome, i saw the first one a while back. I love these, they def invoke (at least in me) the kinda awesome chills that I'm supposed to get when watching superman.

That was cool and loved the "classic" style.
StarSpangledBruce - 7/3/2012, 6:53 AM
Reminds me of Happy Harry's animation style.

DatScarletPimPerNeLL - 7/3/2012, 7:26 AM
Truly a very much needed fresh, yet classic take on Superman. Very well done & Thank-You Mr.Pratt!

TREE_Mendous! If only the producers of the films could emulate this atmosphere for 2 whole hours; but I guess I'm asking too much in this day and age. A straight-up, inspirational, unambiguous hero? In the 21st Century? Don't be ridiculous!
GiftedYoungster - 7/3/2012, 7:49 AM
Give this man a movie deal!

He got Bizarro's powerset wrong :/ oh well.

He should do a "Classic" feature about Batman and Superman Vs. Batzarro and Bizarro.
ComicBookGoth - 7/3/2012, 7:53 AM
awesome Animation.
really feels alive in comparison to the majority of the outsourced stuff in the media now.

also doesn't Bizarro have "Cold Vision" and "Heat Breath"

i know its not shown but it seen pretty obvious that he just used heat vision and(in this case)super breath.

nevertheless, still awesome.
MJPETTY7 - 7/3/2012, 7:56 AM
These are very cool!

@ComicBookGoth There have been many different Bizarro's in the history of comics, from the Silver Age all the way to now. The most current Bizarro had cold vision and heat breath and also talked backwards to make it known that he was in fact a Bizarro.
lntrn8 - 7/3/2012, 7:57 AM
great work!

Man, they had me excited right up till he uses heat vision and cold breath.

Cool animation, love the articulation on Lois' mouth as she's speaking.

Make more!

YOU AM RUBBISH. YOUR VIDEOS AM SO BAD ME HAD TO GET MY NON-FRIENDS TO NOT WATCH THEM TOO. ME HATE YOU. YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY NOT MAKE MANY MORE OF THESE SO ME CAN NOT WATCH THEM OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
SUPERSHADOWBAT - 7/3/2012, 12:30 PM
Wow! these are great Superman vids. They really invoke a nostalgic and classic feel for the character. I would love to see a Superman classic animated series.
worldbreaker - 7/3/2012, 12:55 PM
"look! up in the sky!"
"it's a bird!"
"it's a plane!"
"it's...why would you guys be so excited over a bird and a plane?"
worldbreaker - 7/3/2012, 1:03 PM
i loved the curl coming out on it's own
Dunejedi1 - 7/3/2012, 2:45 PM
Outstanding. I love his use of traditional animation techniques. I agree that these have much more life than current practices. Even though I think there's saturation of DC's "big two", this guy still deserves his own series. It is a fresh and refreshing take on "the big, blue boy-scout". Very well done, keep up the good work.
angus666 - 7/3/2012, 3:08 PM
Make this a TV show!
xXkryptoniteXx - 7/3/2012, 8:45 PM
Sick and this guy is brilliant
DCeddie - 7/3/2012, 9:53 PM
Oh these are just fantastic!...as others have said, I'd love to see a whole show based on these shorts...same style and everything...or even a DC animated feature!

Also dig that the classic look with the red underoos is still preferred by the artist...

And my fave part is Bizzaro!...he seems to be a villain not frequently enough used, which is unfortunate...LOVED how his voice was created and how he has his own personal reversed theme...

BRAVO!...hope to see more :)
