Odin To Share Scenes With Jane Foster In THOR 2

In the latest issue of Total Film Sir Anthony Hopkins tells the publication that he believes he will shares scenes with Natalie Portman (Black Swan) in the sequel to Thor.

In the first film Thor destroys the rainbow bridge thus preventing him from venturing back to Earth. Of course this issue was sort of solved in The Avengers because Odin mustered up some Dark Magic. But that came off as something they couldn't do all the time going forward, so now it seems they'll transport Jane Foster to Asgard instead. Well, according to Sir Anthony Hopkins, and you never question a Sir.

“I haven’t got a script yet but I believe Natalie and I have some scenes together this time."

Hopkins says he’s looking as much forward to “Thor 2″ as he is to “Red 2″, in which he plays a “crazy scientist”.


THOR 2 will be directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones, The Sopranos) and will be released November 8, 2013. Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Natalie Portman, and Idris Elba are all expected to return.

Great find! I expected Foster to head to Asgard in some form or way. I just hope this means there will be less time on earth!

I was hoping they'd add an "Alice in Wonderland" type aspect to Jane in Thor 2.

Thats would be fun to watch, Jane walking the halls of Asgard talking to Odin...The All Father in all his wisdom speaking with the scientist his son loves, would be a good way for them two to bond :]

This could be cool. I just hope that Thor and Jane break up and she marries Dr. Keith Kincaid. This would make it like the comics, and free Thor to marry Sif.

Back in 2002-2003 my good friend was at Harvard and used to tell me Natalie Portman used to go running every morning at 8 AM. This story has no relevance except that all of a sudden a lot more people took up jogging early in the morning that semester.

It was almost a reason to completely work my ass off Junior and Senior year of high school to see if I could get in. Then I realized how much work that would entail and said screw it, I'm going to school in California. I'm bound to run into hot women there (I'm from Boston and we are not known for our attractive women).

Cant wait for this! Hopkins was fantastic....

however there is a small part of me that wishes they weren't messing with Thor 2 and would just focus on other characters and Avengers 2.

He was so great as Odin... I am really stoked for this flik.

Before Avengers came out, Thor was my favorite Marvel movie.

I have major doubts about Taylor's vision for Asgard, though. I just wish Baranagh was coming back for the sequel.

Well, you can watch it over and over to see... but Caroline Davis was credited for doubling in that scene.

really didn't want her returning in thor 2,great actress but wasn't great in thor.

should of explored the relationship between thor & sif,just like the comics.

Have you guys not read the classic comics? She will not be welcome in Odin's Asgard. The son of Odin galavanting with an Earth mortal? And he has the gall to bring this creature into Asgard? No, Thor, you cannot keep her.
