A concept artist often will come up with as many design variations as possible. Some tend to be rather traditional, while others are quite a departure from the norm. The talented Eddie Yang has provided us with three costume designs for The Amazing Spider-Man. These are more of the extreme variety as they provide splashy new versions of the chest logo, and a completely new imagining of Spidey's lenses. I suggest clicking on the images to enlarge them so that you can see all the detailed work that went into designing these costumes. Purists may not like it, but for thinking outside of the box I give Eddie Yang a thumbs up.

santoanderson - 7/26/2012, 4:12 PM
I do wish they had done something slightly different with his eyes in this movie, but what the hell was this guy thinking...
avengersftw - 7/26/2012, 4:13 PM
looks like 2099
BarnaclePete - 7/26/2012, 4:13 PM
Other than the eyes . . Pretty good.
GUNSMITH - 7/26/2012, 4:13 PM
WHAT IS UP WITH THIS GUY'S OBSESSION WITH DRIPPY PAINT AND ALIEN EYES?..HELLO..IF YOU USED THOSE YOU'D GET GEEK SLAPPED.
THABATMAN - 7/26/2012, 4:14 PM

glad they didn't use these lol
DarthTesla - 7/26/2012, 4:15 PM
2nd & 3rd suits look cool. Would like to have those as figures.
SHHH - 7/26/2012, 4:16 PM
BUG Eyes..
CPBuff22 - 7/26/2012, 4:16 PM
I like the first and second costume just not the masks.
KingEmperor - 7/26/2012, 4:17 PM
They look too pretentious.
GUNSMITH - 7/26/2012, 4:18 PM
"LOVE MY SUIT!"
nailbiter111 - 7/26/2012, 4:18 PM
i really love the detail work in the blue part of the first costume. if the lenses were more traditional i'd like all three of these costumes more than the film's final version.
xXkryptoniteXx - 7/26/2012, 4:18 PM
Nice and it looks like bug eyes, I do like the costume but the eyes aren't that great
BarackObama - 7/26/2012, 4:18 PM
looks like shit
Durf - 7/26/2012, 4:23 PM
um, ok. these are...interesting
JokerFan21 - 7/26/2012, 4:24 PM
26C looks cool but I wouldn't want that for the film. All seem like something I would have pinned on my bedroom wall or drawn in notebooks.
TexasAvenger - 7/26/2012, 4:24 PM
WHAT THE [frick]?
santoanderson - 7/26/2012, 4:25 PM
Great plan Marvel/Sony. Release stills of actual movie suit; and people complain because it looks 90% like the old one. In response to those complaints, release this concept art. All of a sudden everybody's like "Oh yeah, the suit they used in the movie looks awesome."

Well played...
AgentDelta - 7/26/2012, 4:25 PM
1: Carnage/Toxin
2: Current Venom/Noir
3: 2099
Sortis - 7/26/2012, 4:26 PM
and to think ive been hard on the movie for the suit...looking at what they had to choose from, i think they may have done really well for themselves lol
Asterisk - 7/26/2012, 4:26 PM
I like 'em. Sorry guys, I really do.
spidey1994 - 7/26/2012, 4:28 PM
The designs are pretty good but the eyes suck.
SigmaCenturion - 7/26/2012, 4:31 PM
These look really bad. I mean like really...
REDSTORM - 7/26/2012, 4:31 PM
I swear they're making these up to make us feel better about the costume in the movie.
Thegoddamnbatman52 - 7/26/2012, 4:33 PM
That change is too radical, at least the one they used somewhat resembled his ultimate costume
CaptainObvious - 7/26/2012, 4:34 PM
Was Michael Bay a producer on this movie at some point? Why does he look like an alien? These terrible costume designs make me appreciate the final design even more.
Vegeta - 7/26/2012, 4:34 PM
haha looks like grif got hacked
SageMode - 7/26/2012, 4:34 PM
The last one reminds me of SPIDER-MAN 2099

NerdyGeek - 7/26/2012, 4:36 PM
I feel sick!
MadTitan - 7/26/2012, 4:39 PM
holy sh*t! what the [frick]! is this colored rainbow alien symbiote? i think i wanna throw up right now.
superbatspiderman - 7/26/2012, 4:39 PM
I have a new found appreciation for the suit in the movie because if they used these I probably would have thrown up. These are terrible.
LoudLon - 7/26/2012, 4:42 PM
Egad, man. And I thought the one they actually went with was bad...
marvelmark - 7/26/2012, 4:46 PM
they're not bad designs, i'm glad they went with something a bit more traditional tho.
RedHood13 - 7/26/2012, 4:48 PM
Not bad, but not spiderman
Deadpool101 - 7/26/2012, 4:50 PM
im not saying it's aliens ..... but its aliens
Jollem - 7/26/2012, 4:54 PM
suits are pretty spiffy minus the eyes. not for the movie tho. i like the suit they went with and want to see an updated one in the sequel
siggisuperman - 7/26/2012, 5:01 PM
I think they just started with these to open up their minds...
superan - 7/26/2012, 5:03 PM
Wow...whats with the dripping-paint motif on all of his spidey-concepts? I'm not really into these costumes... like the Tim Burton Superman costume concepts, these are a bit extreme =/
ironknight - 7/26/2012, 5:06 PM
I'm glad they weren't used for the film, but man, those are pretty cool.
