Deadline is reporting that director Kenneth Branagh is considering Keira Knightley, Felicity Jones, and Evangeline Lilly for the role of Jack Ryan's significant other.

According to Deadline Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl star Keira Knightley, Like Crazy's Felicity Jones, and Lost's Evangeline Lilly are up for the role of Dr. Cathy Muller Ryan. Keira Knightley is said to be the top choice to be paired up with Chris Pine. He is set to take on a role that has been previously played by Harrison Ford, Alec Baldwin, and Ben Affleck.

Another piece of information is that Total Recall's dynamic duo Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel were both considered, but didn't make the cream of the crop.

I had to look up Felicity Jones.

I think between these three, Chris Pine would have better chemistry with Evangeline Lily; I could see them working well together.

And playing a role that was previously played by Harrison Ford, officially makes you a boss.

Okay, the one thing I haven't heard yet is which of Clancy's books they're adapting.

If they go story-wise, then they have to remake Patriot Games since it takes place before the others (excluding Without Remorse). Or will this be some brand new screenplay outside of the novels?

Frankly, I'd prefer it if they'd just kept up with the current franchise, hired an older actor and adapted the books where he's POTUS. Then maybe we'd get some decent John Clark action onscreen.

Lilly, because she is best looking and is a good actress and looks-wise seems like she fits best with Pine. No to Keira and the walking candy apple 10 year old boy body she has

Felicity Jones is very talented.
I loved her on an old short-lived show called 'Cape Wrath' (Meadowlands) where she starred opposite Tom Hardy, she was fantastic.
