Umm some of us don't read the comic.

So should we not talk about events that have happened in comics if people havent read them?

idk there seems to be a fine line sometimes between genuine spoilers and comic book topics of conversation

I mean should i get annoyed at people taliking about the Hobbit movies and the events in them just cus i havent read them? :)

I didn't start watching this show until this past week when I became intrigued by how popular it is... So I found all of season 2 On Demand and after the first episode I was hooked, so I watched the entire season and then my wife had bought me season 1 on dvd so I watched it... REALLY CAN'T WAIT FOR OCT. 14.

Considering the comic is on issue 102 & Rick's hand got cut off ages ago in the comic how is it a Spoiler???

The show has shown us that not everything in the comic happens in the show.

I mean hell Sophia is dead in the show but still alive & well in the comic. Neither of the Dixon brothers are in the comic (YET). Michone will obviously be meeting the Govenor in a completely different way than she meets him in the comic, oh & for those who have not read the comic, would know that the way the Governor meets her has something to do with Rick's hand being cut off, Sooooooooooooo, if she meets him differently how is it an automatic spoiler that his hand got cut off in the comic & might not get cut off in the show???
At this point, nothing in the comic is a spoiler anymore for the show. The alternate timeline everything is following in the show is it's on entirely different universe now.

Pum@ Exactly..if they followed the books i would of expected Shane to die in series one :)

It is a spoiler because THis isn't the comic book, this is the tv series. Not everyone who watches the show has read the books, even though they should because the comic book is awesome. Anyways, spoiler alert ....

I said along time ago i dont think that rick will lose the hand, I thought that the Merl hand being cut off was almost like a little head nod to the rick hand lose because they knew that most likely it wouldn't happen in this show. Lately though i have been wondering if they are bringing merl almost as a test to see how will it looks and what people say about how his hand rig is looking, to see if maybe they could get away with putting his hand it somthing similar. So that way they dont have to green glove it out of every episode.

I kind of hope they dont just because it didn't really effect the comic book in the long run, it was a shocker at the moment to show that practically no one is safe, but when you look back, it didn't really change much about the direction of the comic book

BatSlam@ But the point is...are we allowed to talk about the events in the comic if it spoils those who only watch the tv show!!!

:)
