The Wolverine is back in Australia after spending several weeks filming in Japan. Since September 26 they've been prepping and filming scenes at The Chinese Garden of Friendship, which is located in the heart of Sydney. At that location photographers were able to snap some images of Hugh Jackman (Logan) and his co-star Rila Fu-kushima, who is playing Yukio. They will continue to film at that location for another three days.

While I don't have details about those scenes, I do have details about an upcoming scene that will be filmed this Saturday in Parramatta, between Smith and George Street.

Shot Sequence Description - A couple being pursued on foot as they dodge through traffic in a Japanese city street. They are nearly hit by passing vehicles but manage to keep going. A man runs along roof tops of adjacent buildings above shooting their pursuers with a crossbow. Possible simulated crossbow shooting from a rooftop. - Source

HeadPool420 - 10/8/2012, 6:13 AM
Ever see Hugh in shorts? It's funny it's like he only works out from the waist up. Wolverine has chicken legs!
REMIMARKS - 10/8/2012, 6:14 AM
Is this film set in the present?
JBatesyFilmreviews - 10/8/2012, 6:20 AM
Is this film following on from x men origins or from x3?
jimoakley666 - 10/8/2012, 6:24 AM
@REMIMARKS - They're not saying. It's obviously set in the 21st century but they're keeping quiet about whether it's set before or after the X-Men movies. I'd imagine that'll be addressed in some form or another during the movie.

I'm liking the short hair look for Wolverine. Looks good. The linen shirt / hiking trousers / steel-toed boots look is very in character too.

I wonder if Yukio's hair is a purposeful departure from her short haired look to make Logan think of Jean, meaning it'll be set after the X-Men movies.

I'd rather her have the short scruffy hair, but what the hell. As long as the content and feel is there, I'm fine with it.

This must follow as a sequel if this is the present
plasticman - 10/8/2012, 6:28 AM
@JBatesy- It's Fox's take on it so the chronology could be any of there choosing. But from what I remember this is supposed to take place after the events of Origins when he does not remember anything.
Nomis1800 - 10/8/2012, 6:40 AM
I like.
lokibane2012 - 10/8/2012, 6:51 AM
Really not digging this actress they've chosen for Yukio. She just looks kinda off to me...
MovieTheaterLad - 10/8/2012, 6:53 AM
Well, in the after credits scene of Origins, he's in Japan, so my guess is that it takes place soon after that.
hellfire - 10/8/2012, 7:06 AM
I took it that it follows on from origin but before X-men but possibly after 1st class.

thank god the only thing more indestructible than an indestructible adamantium skeleton was an indestructible adamantium bullet...

Wolverine doesn't know how lucky he was to have that first movie wiped from his memory. The lucky B@$$T@RD!!

QuanZen - 10/8/2012, 7:07 AM
looks like he took one in the leg. So far even with just these set photos seems to be a better film than the origins one.
NathimusPrime - 10/8/2012, 7:09 AM
okay i get it, if i agree to watch arrow will it stop being on every single picture!!!!
megabatfan - 10/8/2012, 7:09 AM
Pity he didn't get to beef up like he originally initended before the movie got stalled. He looks a lil' to skinny. (Bruce Lee-ish)... He's been bigger.
& is that gray hairs i'm seeing in his button chops? C'mon dye those things. Wolverine ages at a decelerated rate
NathimusPrime - 10/8/2012, 7:10 AM
i dont think there could ever be a more perfect casting choice for wolverine
hellfire - 10/8/2012, 7:12 AM
"looks like he took one in the leg" nah the were filming a dancing scene just moments before and she got a little too close
thalidomide - 10/8/2012, 7:14 AM
@tea

LMAO!! Why the [frick] are you googling "Hugh Jackman's legs" in the first place?
Darkhaven - 10/8/2012, 7:19 AM
Give me a scene that totally disavows the use of a [frick]ing ADAMANTIUM BULLET and everything to do with Deadpool becoming Weapon 11, then we may talk. As it stands, this is on the back burner for me. Jackman and I are still cool though.
Extremis - 10/8/2012, 7:23 AM
@teabag
haha she doesnt have any problem as long as u r straight.
Unionjack - 10/8/2012, 7:26 AM
If it's set after origins, not sure what the Audi R8 is doing on set!!
guywithspoilers - 10/8/2012, 7:28 AM
They're filming at the Gardens until Thursday? I'm going to be at the Gallery on Wednesday, I'll try get as close to the set as possible, maybe grab some shots.
jaewest215 - 10/8/2012, 7:32 AM

ShadesAtKnightII - 10/8/2012, 8:24 AM
Yeah, let's all judge the film on these set photos. Lets just.
KaneVonDoom - 10/8/2012, 8:30 AM
I was about to go into a Bezerker Rage... but then I took an arrow to the knee.
sameoldthing - 10/8/2012, 8:37 AM
Of all the incredibly hot, sexy Japanese women I have seen & they cast that ugly chick?
Hope she gets killed off early..disappointed with Jackman's hair, not Wolverine enuff.

Gonna wait & see..so far it has me worried a bit.
Berserker187 - 10/8/2012, 8:57 AM
That chick looks horrible. She looks as if someone hit her with a frying pan. Damm! They could have gotten someone hotter. That sad no eye candy.
riseofloganX36 - 10/8/2012, 9:15 AM
Still looks better than x-men first ass.

UNTILL next time TRUE BELIEVERS!
jimpinto24 - 10/8/2012, 9:49 AM
Cool! I really can't wait to see The Wolverine! It's going to be better than X-Men Origins:Wolverine.
ImnotDaredevil - 10/8/2012, 9:49 AM
Wow! What a weekend, just got married & I'm happy to say it was with a set of Wolverine chops & in a sweet purple jokers suit! Good on my beautiful new wife for putting up with me, although she did draw the line at me using my green lantern ring for the ceremony!;)
GUNSMITH - 10/8/2012, 10:45 AM
LOL WALDO I THOUGHT OF THAT TOO!
Fogs - 10/8/2012, 10:48 AM

ImnotDaredevil - 10/8/2012, 11:38 AM
@Fogs. Thanks man.;)
plok - 10/8/2012, 12:35 PM
I'm psyched for this. Hope I'm not let down again.
CorronZenith30 - 10/8/2012, 2:47 PM
I was seriously sceptical about this movie since the disappointment of Origins.. and I kinda am still slightly sceptical but I'm hoping that after the first 30 mins of viewing this new flick ill be screaming -
MisterMagurlypse - 10/8/2012, 4:27 PM
I'm trying to stay positive about this flim, but with the hair he just doesn't look like Logan anymore. He just looks like himself, like he just walked up on the set. Better have the fricking brown and yellow on in this one.
Zordan - 10/9/2012, 4:33 AM
lookin good
Ryguy88 - 10/9/2012, 11:53 AM
This doesn't look like a period piece at all, further separating it from Origins...which is good!
