In RoboCop, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex's life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.

RoboCop will be directed by Jose Padilha and star Joel Kinnaman (The Killing) in the lead role of Alex Murphy/Robocop. The film also stars: Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Kenneth Williams, Jennifer Ehle, Jay Baruchel and Abbie Cornish. The remake will be in theaters February 7th, 2014

Gose - 10/21/2012, 6:43 PM
future of motorcycle ride, have somebody pull your bike on a platform.
nitrorn - 10/21/2012, 6:49 PM
What's the deal with the holster?
nitrorn - 10/21/2012, 6:49 PM
The suit is growing on me a bit.
jimpinto24 - 10/21/2012, 6:51 PM
The suit is badass!
BlackCondor - 10/21/2012, 6:54 PM
Im starting to love the suit

[frick]ing poop.
kashchei2003 - 10/21/2012, 7:02 PM
i don't like that he has a holster for his gun... should've integrated it in his thigh old school style
TheRationalOne - 10/21/2012, 7:03 PM
I think it's lookin good but...what's with the holster? I DO still want the pop out gun in the leg. That was always the coolest part.
Zoolitron - 10/21/2012, 7:06 PM
Horrible. You can actually see de black fabric suit underneath de (rubber) armor.
Not to mention the rubber suit bending in the legs joint...
F*cking Batmanolan!
Bighead - 10/21/2012, 7:09 PM
Finally, a movie studio decided to produce a film based on the Sliverhawks.
DoubleDion - 10/21/2012, 7:09 PM
Totally looking forward to this movie... I mean everyones gonna hate on the design but chances are you weren't even born when the original came out... so s t f u. Also why is everyone so shocked that they changed the way the suit looked. I mean lets be honest, I would love to see the people who complain come up with something better, I mean everyone on these boards are so hyped up for a movie with a walking and talking tree and a raccoon that wields a big gun yet get so butt hurt over the look of this costume... ugh give yourselves a slap
WallyWestNAM - 10/21/2012, 7:16 PM
I'm just confused. He doesn't look robo. He has a human hand, a leather holster, a very obviously not metal-looking suit; I mean it just looks like advanced body armor on a normal dude. He's.. Armor-Cop. I hope they have some good explanations when this film comes out. And that they make him shinier in post production. He looks like an action figure right now.
LOL - 10/21/2012, 7:40 PM
A holster... are you kidding me??? his gun isn't hidden inside his leg??? He still wears an out of place looking holster? He's part machine, he's got to have weps being able to grow out of his freakin' arm of all things, and all they gave him a holster???
nailbiter111 - 10/21/2012, 7:40 PM
yossarian - yes, most of the film will be in Detroit, but there will be a few international spots used as well.
TheBloodCrow - 10/21/2012, 7:42 PM
I bet this movie will suck just as much if not more than Total Recall.
LOL - 10/21/2012, 7:43 PM
....this movie took a nosedive for me. If Iron-Man can have missiles coming out of his armor, there's no excuse for them being able to build in weps for Robo-freaking-cop.
thedarkknight666 - 10/21/2012, 7:49 PM
shit movie
Scabsallover - 10/21/2012, 7:52 PM
looks great! (besides the holster)
Nabu - 10/21/2012, 8:09 PM
The gun holster will not be there when the film is finished. We know this simply because the holster isn't in every shot.I believe the holster works as a guideline to where Kinnaman's hands would go and they will add the super-awesome thigh holster later - Also, when I went to go sneak a peak last week,it looked like Kinnaman paused for a second before drawing his gun.
SpiderManofHouseStark - 10/21/2012, 8:42 PM
uhhh ... throw a little hot rod red in there .... i mean blue :P
SmithWillSuffice - 10/21/2012, 8:46 PM
Even in the future, popo still hasslin' the black man.
XtommygunzX - 10/21/2012, 8:53 PM
Hope it looks better after post production. It just doesn't look robotic enough. It's too rubbery looking and there's a lot of cloth in the joints. Just feels like a motorcycle suit or something. I think the original actually looked more high tech even by today's standards. At least it looked like it was actually made of metal on some parts.
Jimdlux - 10/21/2012, 9:27 PM
This has to be a low budget film...
Joe6Pack74 - 10/21/2012, 9:43 PM
Everytime I look at this version of the robocop outfit it seems like he is about to pop a major hard on.
Alaba - 10/21/2012, 10:22 PM
Y'all gotta remember they said the suit will go through a few changes before he dons the final one. We don't even know what stage this suit is...
Maia87 - 10/21/2012, 11:31 PM
Just a cop chasing a black guy...True story lol.
damntree - 10/21/2012, 11:43 PM
You guys seriously think the holster is going to be in the final product? lol

AlexDeLarge87 - 10/22/2012, 12:26 AM
Nothing against the design. Color and holster bothers me thou.
AlexDeLarge87 - 10/22/2012, 12:27 AM
CaptainProg@ I pray you two are right.
hope420 - 10/22/2012, 12:45 AM
That holster sucks to me! What was wrong with the in leg holster? That was unique to me. Anyways if the suit was shiny like the dome/visor I would like it more but this looks flat and rubbery and the hand throws off the whole robot arm, it looks like armor not robotic. Just my thoughts.
AlexDeLarge87 - 10/22/2012, 3:07 AM
Alex Murphy combined with Knight Rider´s car K.I.T.T. xD
DarthLaney - 10/22/2012, 4:26 AM
Man the suit keeps getter worse. What's with the stupid leather holster
DarthLaney - 10/22/2012, 4:29 AM
Kinnaman is the new Brandon Routh. Signs on thinking he is going to weara kick arse costume and then gets handed shit.
imnotwearinghockeypants - 10/22/2012, 5:41 AM
I'm guessing the leather holster will be replaced effects wise. Otherwise, Jesus is that stupid.
SHO1138 - 10/22/2012, 6:36 AM

You saw how bad the set photos of the Amazing Spider-man were, you saw how amazing the movie turned out. Same case to this one.
DocMartin09 - 10/22/2012, 9:05 AM
Kinda makes you wonder if Padilha ever saw The Dark Knight.
Niem8211 - 10/22/2012, 9:10 AM

Why the [frick] would they have a human hand??? What happens when he gets in the shit and his hand gets all [frick]ed up? Remember in the old Robo movies how many times he lost his hands or he got beat to shit... It just doesn’t make any since at all....

Thanks so much,

GUNSMITH - 10/22/2012, 9:40 AM
OK I'M GETTING INTO THE LOOK, ESPECIALLY THE RED IN THE VISOR.

shadyginzo - 10/22/2012, 9:57 AM
I'm certain the gun will emerge from his leg still, the holster just allows them to film him drawing a real gun then animate it in post. Will allow a full motion, full body shot of the moment rather than the 80s draw gun shots of the originals.
BmanHall - 10/22/2012, 10:25 AM
That exposed hand is killing me...
brokenexcitement - 10/22/2012, 1:39 PM
This seriously looks like Metal Gear Solid, The Dark Knight movies, and and some sort of BDSM all got together and had a love child -_-

I will hold my final verdict for the first trailer. But, for now, this looks like shit to me...
ManOfKrypton - 10/22/2012, 1:45 PM
That holster is damn annoying... the original concept was so much better!
KillaCityManiak - 10/22/2012, 8:51 PM
sad to say but this looks like complete trash.dissapointing cause i wanted to see it.but i aint givin these companys my money no more on bootsy remakes.
