Between 1995 and 1997 Kevin Eastman created concept art for a fourth live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie that was never filmed, which was tentatively titled, "TMNT: The Next Mutation." Below you can find many images of Kirby, the "fifth turtle," but also featured are Fang, Shredder, Spyder, Nano Spyder, Super Shredder, Kasey (Casey), Talbot, Lawson, Bugman, and Evil April.

In May, Kevin Eastman, co-creator of TMNT (the other being Peter Laird), put the concept art up for auction.
"The fourth live-action TMNT film was pitched and originally scripted as a grittier, less kid-friendly adventure, and to that end Kevin Eastman designed a more brutish, hardcore fifth Turtle, named for the legendary King of Comics (Jack Kirby)." - Heritage Auctions

Kirby? As in Jack Kirby? Didn't know he was from the Renissance...
SolidSnake007 - 12/13/2012, 6:04 PM
these all look like terrible ideas. I hope they don't ever use any of these.

i never had a problem with Venus, the female turtle.
continuezero - 12/13/2012, 6:12 PM
Why does none of that look like anything that would have fit in that universe?

Garbage.
Kyatollah - 12/13/2012, 6:14 PM
THIS is why you shouldn't trust ANYTHING Kevin Eastman says about the new movie being good. The man is a good artist (when he's reined in,) but he's a terrible idea man, and a sellout. Laird fought for years to get the rights away from him. Kirby... the fifth... AAAGGGGHHH!!!!
BIGBMH - 12/13/2012, 6:14 PM
Every idea here just seems pretty awful
Optimus83 - 12/13/2012, 6:15 PM

AlertTheSus - 12/13/2012, 6:16 PM
The worst part is wasn't this guy consulting for michael bay's new movie?
D117 - 12/13/2012, 6:16 PM
Why does Shredder look like a member of "KISS"? and Lawson looks like Duke Nukem smh
CrashTest - 12/13/2012, 6:18 PM
Lets be thankful Kirby never seen the light of day.
norseman79 - 12/13/2012, 6:20 PM
Eastman is creatively bankrupt. He sold all his stake in TMNT a few years ago. He still benefits from being a co-creator of course though.

Also

April forgot her shirt and Shredder looks like Dee Snider.
whiteassmatt - 12/13/2012, 6:21 PM
@BIGBMH Agreed.
Jolt17 - 12/13/2012, 6:22 PM
Honestly? Those look like a bunch of mess.
IIIAdamantiumIII - 12/13/2012, 6:23 PM
Once again this site prevails, barely anyone here knows what the word "Concept" really means.

They look like the jumped right out of toyline. Some look cool some not so much.

But these just scream 80's early 90's turtles
Sortis - 12/13/2012, 6:24 PM
Good thing it never got made.
DEATHbyEXILE - 12/13/2012, 6:25 PM

Looks like something Fox got their hands on.
lanternstorm - 12/13/2012, 6:48 PM
I actually liked the show Next Mutation... was probably one of the few. It was interesting to see them interact with a female turtle... don't like this idea though.
TheFirstAvenger97 - 12/13/2012, 6:51 PM
Crap, crap, mega crap
Luminus - 12/13/2012, 6:54 PM
OMG, my throw up just threw up. That Kirby turtle is just a redesign of Slash. He's even got the same weapon.

Deadpool17 - 12/13/2012, 7:02 PM
Except for evil April, thank god almighty in heaven this didn't happen. Here's hoping it never does.
Fogs - 12/13/2012, 7:11 PM
Dodged. A. [frick]in. Bullet.

nowtheresaBATman - 12/13/2012, 7:17 PM

mgeoff88 - 12/13/2012, 7:23 PM
Wow... that is terrible! Shredder looks like he's going to a KISS concert.

Evil April? WTF? And Casey Jones is using a gun instead of a hockey stick?

I'm really glad this was canned. Talk about garbage.
Durango95 - 12/13/2012, 7:30 PM
Yeah glad this didnt happen. Eastman must be on crack.
XavierLehnsherr - 12/13/2012, 7:39 PM
