Earlier this month Hugh Jackman confirmed to MTV that he was chatting with his former X-Men director, Bryan Singer, about reprising his Wolverine role in "X-Men: Days of Future Past." At that time Jackman was coy about how much involvement Singer was planning for his character, as he only had a cameo in X-Men: First Class... though it was quite memorable.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past will be directed by Bryan Singer ("Usual Suspects"), the cast includes Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, January Jones, Sean Cassidy, Álex González, Jason Flemyng, Zoe Kravitz, Lucas Till and Nicholas Hault. Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart are expected to join the cast as well, but deals are not yet finalized. The film will hit theaters July 18, 2014.

didn't he officially welcome Stewart and McKellan and they were like "Huh"?
DioFoRio - 12/18/2012, 8:53 PM
This is gonna be a huge cast hope they do this well and get the X-men on the right track or get it Completely wrong forcing them to stop making these films and the rights revert. I mean if it is Bad I hope it's "good" bad..like the Happening.
GeneralZod1138 - 12/18/2012, 8:53 PM

BlackCondor - 12/18/2012, 9:00 PM
Bryan Singer knows how to handle a large cast. Should be good
Jolt17 - 12/18/2012, 9:00 PM
OK, this is starting to become a crowd...which is a good thing, but I hope they won't add any more major mutants into the cast. Yes, not even Cyclops.
n1ghtw1ng2832 - 12/18/2012, 9:13 PM
AWESOME! Now Bring on James Marsden!!!!!
Dragonpiece - 12/18/2012, 9:26 PM

mgeoff88 - 12/18/2012, 10:09 PM
HELL YEAH! Bring back Cyclops too!

@Dionysios I was thinking about that. I hope this is really official. You don't know with Bryan Singer. ;P

@Jollem Lol! Nice!

This is really building to hopefully be something special.

Imagine is Christopher Reeves was still alive then they could've made a crisis on infinite Earths with a crossover with Reeves and Cavill superman, which could be used to explain reboots in general in the comicbook movie worlds. They are not restarts we are watching another version on another Earth.
WesleyGibson - 12/18/2012, 10:21 PM
Yeah, I'll believe that when he actually shows up in footage. I'm no believing anything from Singer's Twitter account.
TheFirstAvenger97 - 12/18/2012, 11:02 PM
Nailbiter should you be taking his tweets seriously?
nailbiter111 - 12/18/2012, 11:07 PM
thefirstavenger97 - You're right I should totally disregard what the director of the movie tweets. (RME) Come on, man!
tazmaniak - 12/18/2012, 11:35 PM
Damn, from his casting in 1999 to the release of Days of Future Past in 2014, Jackman will have portrayed Wolverine in 7 films over the course of 15 years and counting.
lvcl - 12/19/2012, 1:18 AM
always Wolverine and no Cyclops, this is s nightmare. Fox guys can´t do a decent X-Men movie.

We need that Fox sell rights back to Marvel and a complete reboot for X franchise.

BlackCondor - "Bryan Singer knows how to handle a large cast. Should be good"

I doubt it. We've seen in Superman Returns and First Class with actors standing around without a word to say.

So when Xavier and Magneto meet Wolverine in the bar in the 60s and yet X1 - X3 tjey act like they met him for the first time. I wonder how this will play out DOFP.

DCjohnny - 12/19/2012, 1:40 AM
awesome.... now join avengers 2......
KidGoku - 12/19/2012, 1:51 AM

[frick] yeah. Jackman, Fassenbender, McKellan, Mcavoy, Lawrence & Stewart. not sure a better cast has been assembled for a CBM.

At best it'll just be cameos in some kind of Terminator style flash forwards. It'll still be very much a sequel to First Class, following the characters from that movie for the main storyline. I'm curious though as to who will be the one sent back through time.
AC1 - 12/19/2012, 3:06 AM
Yeah except he's already 'officially welcomed' Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, both of whom responded that they had no idea they were officially signed on for their roles. After that, I'm going to have a very hard time trusting anything Bryan Singer announces as 'official'.
RadicalDuck - 12/19/2012, 3:10 AM
@Newbus- didn't Matthew Vaughn direct First Class?
CherryBomb - 12/19/2012, 3:16 AM
Noooo

My favourite part about First Class was that Wolverine didn't hog the spotlight. :/
CherryBomb - 12/19/2012, 3:16 AM
I hope it's just a cameo. but I don't think it will be.
HulkSmash87 - 12/19/2012, 3:49 AM
i personally don't give to s**t's who is in it i jut want some sentinels and not some crappy looking one like in last stand when they were in the danger room
nerdman81 - 12/19/2012, 3:51 AM
Sweet! Bryan Singer AND Hugh Jackman signed on together again for Wolverine part 6!!!! Couldn't possibly care any less.
Newbus - 12/19/2012, 4:08 AM
RadicalDuck - "@Newbus- didn't Matthew Vaughn direct First Class?"

But it was Singer that wrote and produced First Class.

astromerc - 12/19/2012, 4:09 AM
I personally want to see a good story. I want to see the rights go back to Marvel. I want to see the X-Men as they should be seen and cast. I want Singer to read the X-Men comic from 1 - 200 and understand what he is managing. I want Singer/Fox to watch the Avengers till they get they get the picture.

Guess what? Personally I don't think fox or Singer gives a F*** what I want, and I'm pretty sure that goes for everyone else who loves comics.

Sentinels? That's all people want to see...(like cats chasing a flash light) well go to you tube and look at some cut scene's from X-Men video games. BOOM!
SuperSomething616 - 12/19/2012, 4:23 AM
Oh great so we can basically expect another installment for Wolverine...

Might as well call it Xmen - Days of Wolverines Past!!!!

I liked First Class cause ti didnt focus on Wolverine but other characters...nice one fox!!!
titansupes - 12/19/2012, 4:54 AM
EVERYBODY GO LOOK AT THE SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE X-MEN 2 DVD:

Jackman gets asked if he feels strange about doing a sequel, and he of course says he's excited etc. But the he starts laughing and saying "If years down the track you catch me doing, y'know, X-Men 9 or something, then we might have a problem!" With The Wolverine and DOFP, he'll be up to 7. Almost there, Hugh...:P
CrimsonReign - 12/19/2012, 5:24 AM
I think Singer is going to make something really special with this one.
bazinga85 - 12/19/2012, 5:28 AM
