Update: ShockTillYouDrop is reporting that the poster is fan art.

Carrie will now hit theaters October 18th!

"The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White (Moore) and her daughter Carrie (Moretz). Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin (Greer) tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson (Portia Doubleday, Youth in Revolt), but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell (Gabriella Wilde, The Three Musketeers), regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross (newcomer Ansel Elgort), to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.”

What is it with this girl and blood in nearly all of her movies? This remake/reboot/reimagining/relaunch better be good.

On the one hand I liked her as a child actress. On the other hand I hate unnecessary remakes with a passion.

That sucks. But if it's rated R then i'll be able to go to the theatre by myself (it's days after my 17th birthday).

Damn, that poster is better than the actual official posters.

I'm actually looking forward to this remake,
Chloe is a talented young actress.

and meh, if you don't like remakes then simply don't watch it, it's not doing any harm to you.
sahin86 - 1/2/2013, 7:28 PM

EVEN THOUGH THE ARMS AND HANDS ARE WAY TOO BIG, IT'S AN AMAZING POSTER! ;)

SamHell - 1/3/2013, 4:17 AM
remakes of the classics have failed time and again. when will they learn??
SamHell - 1/3/2013, 4:17 AM
do like the poster tho
jasonicus - 1/3/2013, 5:26 AM
Why? Any reason for the delay?
DukeAcureds - 1/3/2013, 7:35 AM
DexterMorgan75@ She will be 16 when the movie is released which is exactly how old Sissy Spacek was, when the original was released. I reckon they'll have that shower scene.
johan02 - 1/3/2013, 2:45 PM
I have to say, I'm not a fan of remakes(and this is one I dont think CAN be as good as the original)but this looks pretty good. That trailer had a very "The Crow" kinda feel to it, with all the fires and the music.
TankD - 1/3/2013, 7:24 PM
