In this four minute video the snarky duo, Jeremy Scott and Christopher Atkinson, nitpick eighty-two mistakes from the highly divisive film.

In the distant future, two superpowers control Earth and fight each other for all the solar system's natural resources. When one side dispatches a team to a distant planet to terraform it for human colonization, the team discovers an indigenous race of bio-mechanoid killers. Ridley Scott, director of 'Alien' and 'Blade Runner,' returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

Prometheus, is directed by Ridley Scott and stars: Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green, Noomi Rapace, Guy Pearce, and Michael Fassbender. The film is now available on Blu-Ray and DVD.

kaijunexus - 1/3/2013, 10:53 AM
Wait...just 82?
INSTANTJUSTICE - 1/3/2013, 11:01 AM
Nomis: "And I know at least 82 things wrong with Jeremy Scott and Christopher Atkinson".

Yeah but they ain't spending $250 million and charging $10 to tell you that.
darkjoker1 - 1/3/2013, 11:10 AM
that was funny lol XD and i do agree with them lol
MrYurMomm - 1/3/2013, 11:13 AM
Why dont you post the TDKR and The Avengers ones as well?
Spidey91 - 1/3/2013, 11:16 AM
I don't think most of these are supposed to be taken seriously, like "discount Tom Hardy" (that made me LOL btw :P )
AmericanPsychoWolf - 1/3/2013, 11:25 AM
That's like 9 more then TDKR right?
Spock - 1/3/2013, 11:28 AM
Yah they could done a better job of the holograms--take point from Star Trek or Star Wars holograms!
darkbeefstakes - 1/3/2013, 11:31 AM
Most of these were nitpicks, atleast avengers and tdkr had some flaws they pointed out, even though most of those were nitpicks too. I thought they would have a shit ton to talk about with Prometheus, considering how half-assed the screenplay was, and I really liked the movie.
CloydeSyfox - 1/3/2013, 11:34 AM
A waste of time.

Was PROMETHEUS a bad movie? Was it better than any movie you made?
riseofLOGANX36 - 1/3/2013, 11:40 AM
so mebey they should of made ailen 5 insted of a stupid remake.

UNTIL next time TRUE BELIEVERS!
continuezero - 1/3/2013, 11:40 AM
There's a difference between things they don't like versus things that are wrong. I have to admit their Amazing Spiderman one was grasping at straws. Like the fact that Spidey was using Bing search engine. So what? It's totally irrelevant. These videos suck.
FOOM - 1/3/2013, 11:42 AM
82 valid/hilarious points. Still really liked it though.
SuperDude001 - 1/3/2013, 11:44 AM
Yeah.
I just watched the Avengers one as well, and some points these guys have a true justified facts, some purely bad opinions, and some they're just bending ideas out of context.
I mean interesting, but also kinda annoying.
Dynamo - 1/3/2013, 11:49 AM
The two finger flip off is actually a very common flip-off in Britain. I hated this film, but come on, do your research.
soberchimera - 1/3/2013, 12:02 PM
Why do you keep posting these vids? They're not funny and they're just one person's personal gripes about the movie, not actual flaws.
8thDynasty - 1/3/2013, 12:16 PM
I'm a dumb American and even I know what the "2 finger flip-off" means.
RorMachine - 1/3/2013, 12:29 PM
I think they are funny, and while a lot of the stuff is nit picking for comedic effect, a lot of them also point out genuine flaws which are NOT just one person's opinion. If you don't mind them that's one thing, but they are there!
Godzillafart - 1/3/2013, 12:49 PM
Yup. And they barely touched on my personal pet peeve...absurd, non-sensical "science".
SUPERBATSPIDERMAN - 1/3/2013, 1:02 PM
Obviously whoever made this wasn't apying attention to the movie because most of these complaints can be explained if you were paying attention.
Ceejay - 1/3/2013, 1:08 PM
LOL, "This is how Scooby and Shaggy would run away from this ship!"

:-)
Godzillafart - 1/3/2013, 1:20 PM
@SUPERBATSPIDERMAN: I think Ror's comment up above hit the nail on the head.
marvel72 - 1/3/2013, 1:22 PM
movie had flaws but i liked it.
mkilban2 - 1/3/2013, 1:25 PM
I actually really liked Prometheus. this was funny too though.
mkilban2 - 1/3/2013, 1:26 PM
..you guys remember Prometheus and Bob? hahaha
xRelentlessx - 1/3/2013, 2:34 PM
Most of these were just nit picky, but a few, like the minority character's deaths, deserved to be on the list.
Digitaria51 - 1/3/2013, 2:38 PM
I'm watching it right now, and the only thing wrong with it is Charlize Theron not getting naked.
Luminus - 1/3/2013, 2:48 PM
Crap movie. Crap video.
Dechiriko - 1/3/2013, 3:03 PM
it's just a movie gee
Floke - 1/3/2013, 3:15 PM
Flute-operated space-ship... If he had played the intro to "The Final Countdown" they would be heading for Venus... Or the tune from Deliverance they woukd have ended up in Uranus.
Geektality - 1/3/2013, 3:47 PM
I can talk about all 82 problems in four words: IT'S A BAD MOVIE!!
DukeAcureds - 1/3/2013, 3:58 PM
Boy, I never realised, until the last few days, how much hate this movie was getting. Okay, I'll watch the video.
DukeAcureds - 1/3/2013, 4:06 PM
Okay, 1st 30 seconds: So far, I see no flaws that have been pointed out. Just a little harmless fun being poked at things like how the guys pointing to stars on the primitive cave paintings look like they're juggling. Oh look at those PRIMITIVE cave paintings. Don't they look as if they can be easily construed to look like something that they're not supposed to be.
As for the memories being cut like a film, they're cut like a film because it is a film, moron. Called Prometheus. You'll notice that the present events of the film are also cut like a film.
The points about the ship looking like the ship from firefly and the basketball court? This is really just a dig at Alien Ressurection, isn't it. That's a dufferent film. Ridley is simply acknowledging it, as he acknowledges all the alien films, within Prometheus. These aren't the only references, either. David's name follows on, alphabetically, from Call.
DukeAcureds - 1/3/2013, 4:16 PM
2nd 30 seconds:
Getting somebody as great as Guy Pierce for a bit part that is mostly obscured by prosthetic makeup? That's just cool.
The obvious Rubik's cube thing is an obvious nod to old-skool sci-fi.
Discount Tom Hardy? That's quite accurate. But that's not really a flaw with the film, just because the dude looks like Tom Hardy, but isn't as good an actor. And that's not to say he's a bad actor, either. He's just not Tom Hardy.
The violin girl? It's called technology that plays music. If you look at a lot of other films you'll find that they too have diagetic music that is being played by technology. The boom box in Do The Right Thing, off the top of my head. Also, I suspect this may be in slight homage to the anime Memories. Which is also really quite cool.
Most of these other points are that people and objects look like othe people and objects, but are not. Not seeing any flaws, there.
He uses an onscreen display!?! Like they do in other science fiction movies?!! That must be a flaw!!! ...No. No, it's not.
NextHero08 - 1/3/2013, 4:18 PM
I hope we all remember that these are movies rite? Not real life? So it really doesn't effect or change anything. Just pointing that out, plz continue.
DukeAcureds - 1/3/2013, 4:32 PM
3rd 30 seconds:
Okay, now t's just literally pointing out events that happen in the movie. The guy says fvck it the airs breathable and takes his helmet off, even though the rest of the guys think that's a bad idea. It turns out that the air is breathable, so they all take their helmets off. Yep, that's what happened. I think the guy's just getting involved in the drama of the movie, here. He's all like "No don't take your helmet off dumbass, it might not be safe! Oh it is? Shit that guy's a risk taker. And now their all taking their helmets off? Doesn't anyone follow protocol?!" These are not flaws. And yes, this robot can decode and read alien languages really fast. Well done for understanding that plot point, too. In fact I'm not reiterating most of these points because he is really just going through the movie and pointing out what happens, like a moron.
The alien head is obviously not deemed to be a contagion, by the computer. In fact it would be a pretty stupid answer for a computer to say that the alien head was a contagion if it was asked whether or not the alien head was carrying any contagions, wouldn't it?
The Engineer's DNA would not be an exact match, in that way. Otherwise you could say that every human being is are exact clones of one another.
He doesn't seem to like the change in the snooker table. They have silver balls. So what? I've got a Star Wars chess set. It's not traditional, but it's still chess. And at least it's not like the snooker tablein the cult sci-fi classic Silent Running. That was round!
The fridge is obviously a secret fridge that Shaw and the others are not privvy to, like many things on the ship. Weylands's hypersleep chamber, for instance.
ComfortablyNumb - 1/3/2013, 4:38 PM
Only like five of those are valid. These videos are so stupid.
DukeAcureds - 1/3/2013, 4:39 PM
4th 30 seconds:
Again he continues to point out things that look like things whilst also mentioning things that happen within the movie.
That two fingered flip-off is not a futuristic flip off, it's the original flip-off. It was originally used by archers in wars. They'sd flip-off the enemy in this way to show them that they still had the two fingers that they needed to fire a bow. It was adapted as the original flip-off and is still used, to this day by people in the UK and all over Europe. These two guys giving each other the two fingered flip-off are British. So, it makes perfect sense.
The Geoligist does nothing while the other vguy gets his arm ripped off? This is one of the many "flaws"?! He does nothing because he doesn't know what to do, he's panicking and hew's scared shitless. What would you do?
DukeAcureds - 1/3/2013, 4:41 PM
The 5th 30 seconds are literally full of the guy struggling to understand anything in the movie. That is not a flaw with the film, that is this guy being a moron.
DukeAcureds - 1/3/2013, 4:46 PM
6th 30 seconds: Why don't they open the door for the dead friend? Because... shit weren't you even paying attention when Charlize was torching him?! "Oh Good, Zombies"? Yes, that is good. Space Zombies are very good. Thank you, Ridley for that added little bonus.
Bark4Soul - 1/3/2013, 4:47 PM
CinemaSin is a funny series, it's meant for entertainment with maybe 5-10% being real gripes and the other 90% just funny stuff most movie goers kind of realize anyways. They just take the time to put it all together for laughs, they don't necessarily review the movie. Geeze people calm down
Godzillafart - 1/3/2013, 4:47 PM
@DukeAcureds: I realize we are on different sides of this debate, but I like the way you express your opinions, and I realized I may not have made this clear: I hate Prometheus with an undying passion in large part because of my love and respect for Alien and my resulting anticipation for this film. I never expected this movie to fail in ways that Alien excelled in (ie making very believable characters, and creating brilliant and completely believable alien biology).

I see these things as two of Alien's greatest strengths, and the lack of them as Prometheus' greatest weaknesses.

Even more infuriating was to read the original script and realize that these flaws were not there! Stupid Lost guy what's his nuts included them in his rewrite.

Also interesting to note is that Scott, not being the writer, had do with these problems. (outside of maybe giving the final OK, if he had that power)
Bark4Soul - 1/3/2013, 4:49 PM
@Duke - U need to chill.the.f*ck.out! Back away from your keyboard and go do something else...damn dude
DukeAcureds - 1/3/2013, 4:51 PM
7th 30 seconds:
Yes, the evil corporation lied about Weyland being dead.
Is this guy seriously asking what she's crying about? Emotional maturity much?
"They just had to kill the minority character's"?! They killed everybody but Shaw!
DukeAcureds - 1/3/2013, 4:56 PM
GFart@ I love your integrity and your love of the original movie. See I've not yet read the original script for Prometheus, yet, but I have a feeling I'll prefer it to Lindelof's. See, I made peace with the fact that they were going to go off on one with this film. I could see it was going to happen, so I went into the cinema prepared for something much more removed from the real world than the original movie or any of it's sequels.
Bark4Soul@ I'm bored and I'm having fun. And I gotta finish, now that I've started, right?
DukeAcureds - 1/3/2013, 5:04 PM
Yeah, fvck it, there's not many actual points left:
She filled up on Oxygen automatically, by being inside the Prometheus. David's head is slightly magnetic. "How does she send the message?"? How does Ripley? And is this the distress beacon that the Nostromo picked up. 'Cause that irony there makes me giggle in a very slight and almost creepy manner.
Alright, I'm done, Bark4Soul@.
DarkKnight23 - 1/3/2013, 7:13 PM
These videos are hilarious
pepe - 1/3/2013, 11:33 PM
Stupid video....
Fishandchips - 1/4/2013, 3:46 AM
@DukeAcards - Your ranting has entertained me for 10 or so minutes, but I should add that giving the V has nothing to do with archers, according to Stephen Fry, apparently it was a rumour started in the 1980's and only got so big because of some e-mail that circulated about it in 1996.
Fishandchips - 1/4/2013, 3:51 AM
Also if budget Tom Hardy could act I'd say he'd be god for Shepard if they do eventually do the Mass Effect movie.
