Is Ryan Gosling Interested In Playing The Flash In JUSTICE LEAGUE?

Currently Ryan Gosling is doing press for his new movie, "Gangster Squad," and Screen Crave asked if the actor would have interest in a superhero role, specifically pointing out that The Flash is still up for grabs in Warner Bros. Justice League film.

Ryan Gosling, hasn't done a comic book superhero role yet, but that hasn't stopped fan-casters from penciling him in as their favorite choice for The Flash, or Bruce Wayne, and of course his blonde locks make him an easy choice for Aquaman. When Screen Crave approached the actor about possibly suiting up for Warner Bros. upcoming summer tentpole, Justice League, the actor didn't exactly come off as excited playing The Flash.

Screen Crave: Here’s a question I’m sure a lot of fans want an answer to. When are you going to do a superhero movie?

Ryan Gosling: Well, they’re all taken.

Screen Crave: Not true. Justice League is coming out in 2015. Superman and Batman are taken. But The Flash and maybe even Green Lantern are up for grabs.

Ryan Gosling: Well Ryan Reynolds is Green Lantern. I can get Flash basically.

Screen Crave: So would you ever do one though?

Ryan Gosling: Here’s the thing. Drive was my attempt at the superhero movie. I had a costume and everything. The scorpion jacket. It was like my cape. It was like the idea of a guy that had seen too many superhero movies and then decided that he was going to make himself one.

He'd be a decent choice for Flash, but he's currently my top choice to play the next Batman. And I don't think Batman is taken, assuming that Joseph Gordon-Levitt won't be playing him. I doubt Ryan Reynolds will come back as Green Lantern, as much as I'd love to see it.

Karl Urban for Batman. Love Ryan Gosling and think he'd make a great aquaman.

I don't want people to play superheroes if they roll their eyes at the prospect. He doesn't want the job? Fine. There are PLENTY of other actors who would fall to the ground and beg for the role.

I agree with Muckle. He seemed kind of nonchalant about it. He's still the face for Aquaman for me.

I think other than Superman, the roles are pretty open. He would make a great Barry Allen, hopefully someone convinces him.

I just hope they do it JUSTICE on the big screen. Same goes for Man of Steel.

Hell, he'd be the kind of actor that could bring a respectability to Aquaman though, plus shaved, he looks like Ivan Reis' portrayal of him.

I would've loved to see Guy Pearce as DD, but he's basically the only actor that I feel warrants being pursued for a cbm roll. I agree, if they're not feelin' it then [frick] 'em. Too many quality actors would be willing to fight to the death for these roles.

I was just having this discussion the other day. Gosling would be perfect for Barry Allen. I hope he can see that Flash is not a c list character.

Batman is not taken yet. Superman is. i think he should play either Batman or Flash. Aquaman? maybe. Drive as a superhero film? that is what i thought it was like when i saw it. and i still do

Obviously, he's not interested in a CBM role right now. Shame, he's a hellva actor. I see him more as an Arthur than Barry or Wally.

Would love to see him as The Flash/Barry Allen!!

And someone who has "seen too many superhero movies" and decides to become a superhero sounds a little bit like The Flash himself actually; Barry Allen became The Flash and decided to become a superhero after he got super speed because he was inspired by the comics he read as the kid.

And the writer of Gangster Squad is writing JLA....coincidence? Be awesome if gosling came over as well. :-D

for flash yes...hell no for batman..his voice is to boyish...we need a deep ass voice for batman and he can't pull that off...don't get me wrong though..i do like him..he is an awesome actor...
