"I had about a day and a half to create about a dozen looks for the pitches for the teaser One Sheet Poster. A fun project as Superhero films always have great Logo possibilities." - Thom Schillinger

X-Men: First Class was directed by Matthew Vaughn, from a screenplay written by Ashley Edward Miller, Zack Stentz, Jane Goldman, and Matthew Vaughn. The cast included: James McAvoy as Charles Xavier / Professor X, Michael Fassbender as Erik Lensherr / Magneto, Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Jennifer Lawrence as Raven Darkholme / Mystique, January Jones as Emma Frost, Nicholas Hoult as Dr. Henry "Hank" McCoy / Beast, Zoë Kravitz as Angel Salvadore, Caleb Landry Jones as Sean Cassidy / Banshee and Lucas Till as Alex Summers / Havok. The film earned $353 million at the worldwide box office, on a budget of $140–160 million.

"The storyboards were for an international finish used to sell the film way early on in the fall of 2006. The big logos were for the domestic release of the film and were done 2 years latter." - Thom Schillinger

X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) was directed by Gavin Hood, from a screenplay written by David Benioff and Skip Woods. The cast included: Hugh Jackman as Logan / Wolverine, Liev Schreiber as Victor Creed, Danny Huston as Stryker, Lynn Collins as Kayla Silverfox, Kevin Durand as Fred Dukes ("The Blob"), Taylor Kitsch as Remy LeBeau, Daniel Henney as Agent Zero, and Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool. The film earned $373 million at the worldwide box office, on a budget of $150 million.

The Wolverine ones look like they're from a video game.

"Thank God they didn't use these." I can't stand trashy comments like that. Can you make these logos? No. This guy has a day or a few hours to work on pitches, not final posters. Not liking a design here or there, fine, but acting like they all offend your eyes is an insult to the artist, shame on you.
NoJobBOB - 3/2/2013, 11:15 AM
Im also glad they didn't use those. I don't like them either.
RadicalDuck - 3/2/2013, 11:17 AM
@nailbiter111- amen to that.

@nailbiter, if thats his opinion then thats his opinion. he owes the concept artists no gratitude. and he shouldn't have to hold his toungue just because someone doesn't agree with his statement.

however, i personally like most of the 1st class logos as well as the Caged logo. but still, we should all be entitled to form our own opinions when it comes to art.

Wolverine should've been an unused film

First class ones are okay, though glad they weren't used.
Wolverine ones, meh well made but really glad they didn't them.

1,6,7,9,10, and 11 are the best for the First Class one. The design with Wolverine shredding the title away at the end of his own teaser is pretty cool as well.

Both movies are gabage!! MARVEL needs the rights back to both films so they can make proper movies!!!

The xmen one looks like the last stand and a video game. The wolverine one isn't bad(first one). The rest are bad. The 3rd xmen one isn't bad, it is plain but it looks good. There are all different variations you can do for xmen and are good or great. I gotta get some adobe and do some for one lol
TheMadman - 3/2/2013, 1:43 PM
Wolverine storyboard would be great for a video game.
xXkryptoniteXx - 3/2/2013, 1:43 PM
Lol are people already tired of people saying xmen should go back to marvel. Lol. Let's face it, it will never go back unless they find a breach in contract.
LordOfTheZegaRealm - 3/2/2013, 3:08 PM
The second to last X-Men logo was pretty cool.
DurtyTalynt - 3/2/2013, 3:23 PM
