Wow, that was rather refreshing, a scene that was cut-out that actually had Wolverine at a minimum.
...Pity that.

Why does Wolverine need a fork to eat with at the diner?

1st class is the only xmen film I thought was good and even that had its flaws, however I watched this one again recently and there are a couple of scenes in which I was quite impressed by - Prof x's death and pheonixs death scene wer both actually rather good and altho pretty much the rest was terrible i dont think singer has done anything that matched those two scenes

That was kind of neat.

You know I'm probably going to get blasted for this, but X3 was my favorite of the original X-Men films. Why? Because it was fast paced, action packed, choc full of mutants from the comics, incredible effects (GG Bridge levitating, Phoenix powers, etc), and a balls to the wall final battle with Magneto playing a chess of sorts with the soldiers and muties.

I don't get why people LOOOOVE the Avengers so much and hate X3 when they are essentially the same balls to the wall climax with superheroes. Yeah I get that people hated Cyclops absence (but he wasn't the same in any of the films as he is in the comics). And I always hear the gripe about Phoenix being a subconscious powerful persona instead of a cosmic alien force. But how the heck would they have explained that without a time consuming back story?

Give it a chance.

cool scene, nice to see Kitty having her own scene for a chance.

And it seems the movie was supposed to be much longer than the final result. Again, Thanks so much, Ratner!

@CaptainJackSpareribs: Dare I say, I like X-3, but the film is problematic.

#1. The morlocks were ruined. I can't even tell if Calisto is a man or woman. Fail.

#2. Angel was pointless. Really, why was he even in the movie? All he did was save his father, but who cares about that?

#3. Magneto leaves Mystique, when she looses her mutant powers. He wouldn't do that, because Magneto isn't really a villain. He's the equivalent of Malcolm X.

#4. Day turns to night in a minute.

#5. It's clear that Jean/Phoenix was being lenient with Wolverine at the end, but Wolverine still can't heal that fast.

#6. The Juggernaut's helmet.

The movie MIGHT have been okay if Singer's films hadn't focused so much on Logan. Part of the problem with X3 is simply that it doesn't finish or continue that story arch. Then there's how Ratner approached the Phoenix. Most of what makes Jean Grey/Dark Phoenix so fascinating is her systematic downward spiral into insanity because of Mastermind. The whole movie she was practically a listless zombie, not a tragic figure slipping into madness. The movie didn't have the subtlety to do that.

@Luminus: Then the are all the problems you just mentioned.

Like I said, it could've been a good movie, maybe if it had been treated more as a standalone and not a cheap attempt at a sequel.

Wait, I remember seeing the one with kitty entering the president limo YEARS AGO. But this is a bit different of the one I've seen, kitty had a different design.
