Hair-Raising "Mirror" Clip From Fede Alvarez’s EVIL DEAD

The first clip from Fede Alvarez’s Evil Dead, a remake of the 1981 cult classic, aired on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. The footage features a disheveled Jessica Lucas and a mirror.

“In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.”


The Evil Dead will be directed by Fede Alvarez. The film stars Jane Levy (Suburgatory) as Mia; Shiloh Fernandez (Deadgirl, Red Riding Hood) as David; Lou Taylor Pucci (Carriers) as Eric; Jessica Lucas (Cloverfield) as Olivia and Elizabeth Blackmore (Legend of the Seeker) as Natalie. The film will be released on April 5, 2013.

Saw the movie last night. It's pretty [frick]ed up to say the least, but a really great horror flick. Very bloody, insanely brutal and a whole lot of fun!

I'm scared to watch this movie for one reason. I can't handle overly gory material. I get squirmy hahaha- and sometimes sick.

Not much of a clip really. Can't wait for this film, but just curious...who the hell (besides serial rapists) keeps chloroform in their medicine cabinet?

Can't wait to see this. The more gore, the better. No problem. But you won't get me in cinema for movies like Paranormal Activity and stuff. My fantasy is killing me! :D

i see what you mean. i was kinda hating on this new film for being dishonest to the original evil dead. but i kinda grew to accept it as its own separate thing. but the thing is:

no ash
no campbell starring
no raimi directing

i'd say just ignore the name of the film and look at it as a separate movie, if you still wanna watch it, go ahead. if not, then i don't think you have to.

besides, didn't raimi say he was working on evil dead 4?
