This has certainly been a busy week for Star Wars rumors. Just a few days ago, Devin Faraci of Badass Digest reported hearing whispers that J.J. Abrams was going to drop out from Star Wars: Episode VII, but Lucasfilm quickly issued a statement shooting down such rumors. While yesterday came even more Star Wars rumors, as Latino Review reported that Ryan Gosling was up for a role playing the son of Luke Skywalker.

The Huffington Post:
A new report about Ryan Gosling meeting with J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilm to discuss "Star Wars: Episode VII" has been denied by the stars representatives.

According to the film site Latino Review, Gosling met with the "Star Wars" production team to discuss playing Luke Skywalker's son in the highly anticipated sequel. "This is not true," Gosling's reps wrote in an email to HuffPost Entertainment.

Let's remember every other time a rumor was denied and then turned out to be true. Ready? Go!
vananir - 7/25/2013, 4:02 PM
Latino review? Jajajajajaja
CrimsonFlash - 7/25/2013, 4:02 PM
Latino Review has a mad lib starter kit at home where he adds name and movie titles until he gets pretty much anything and puts it on the internet.
Jollem - 7/25/2013, 4:03 PM
i'm pretty sure there is a lot of rumors to come with this movie. not gonna start getting excited until there's something definite
BlueHawaiiSurfer - 7/25/2013, 4:03 PM
This whole "hey I'm interested in doing this movie" thing is getting old. It seems like 3 or 4 times a week we have to wade through these posts. Tell me "yeah he signed" or "no he's out" not "hey I"m interested in doing this..."
TheAbomination - 7/25/2013, 4:04 PM
Latino Review needs to be punished for their crimes against humanity.
HavocPrime - 7/25/2013, 4:04 PM
Lol Latino Review got it wrong, who would of thought it.

can we not do the shit on latino review comments? they nailed Khan before any other site and nailed the most rumors/being true for Iron Man 3. this whole "we don't believe them" routine, some of you have, is moronic.
Jollem - 7/25/2013, 4:06 PM
@Nail - people like to parrot things. don't take away their happiness :)
Reasonnnn - 7/25/2013, 4:07 PM
OF course they'll deny. You have to deny.

Not saying Gosling will be in the film but I really doubt that he didn't meet with LucasFilm and friends.
LEVITIKUZ - 7/25/2013, 4:08 PM

Wow, wow, wow. Where is this coming from? If we can shit on other things, why should LR get a pass? Besides who didn't think Khan was the villain?
DrDoom - 7/25/2013, 4:11 PM

CrimsonFlash - 7/25/2013, 4:12 PM
@nailbiter They nailed Khan? so did every other person on the planet. Even when JJ came out and said "he's not Khan" most people were still like, yeah he's khan. That wasn't a very tough guess.
LEVITIKUZ - 7/25/2013, 4:12 PM
Eh Maybe strikes again.
harley2011 - 7/25/2013, 4:14 PM
Getting Dicaprio, is just wishful thinking. Gosling is a longshot, Efron you can book it.
Jollem - 7/25/2013, 4:16 PM
please. they need to go with no-names for the star wars movies
third3ye - 7/25/2013, 4:17 PM
Can't see Gosling sign up for SW - not his type of film and can't ever see him signing a multi-picture deal.
TheIlluminati - 7/25/2013, 4:18 PM
F@#k Gosling
DCwanabe - 7/25/2013, 4:19 PM
highly credible sources are saying to shut the f-ck up about the rumors and wait for some official sh-t from the studio. I'm gettin sick of all the rumors from wannabe internet reporters trying to get more traffic.
ALegendaryPanda - 7/25/2013, 4:19 PM
Latino Review strikes again!

nailbiter111 - 7/25/2013, 4:21 PM
CrimsonFlash - that's some bullshit. they said Khan when Benicio was rumored for the role. People speculated that was the part, but they also speculated on a lot of other possible characters. LR was the only site to say no matter what he is Khan. They were right.

And yes you can get on LR for misfiring on other rumors, which happens when you report on a lot of rumors, but judging El and LR as being wrong all of the time, is nonsense.
KnobGoblin - 7/25/2013, 4:23 PM
I knew it, Gosling doesn't do franchises. That's why he's never gonna play a superhero, so stop suggesting him for everything, fanboys.
Ocelot - 7/25/2013, 4:25 PM
LMAO @ people believing Latino Review and their "scoops" that no other reputable news site even reports, site has become a parody of itselfs. Lazy journalism. I see El Maybe's gone into hiding after there was no Docto Strange announcement at comic-con that was his "scoop", wonder what BS he'll come out with next. LMAO he probably came up with that Doctor Strange fan fic that he stretched out for 3 weeks whilst on the toilet seat.
Jollem - 7/25/2013, 4:27 PM
they have gotten a lot of stuff right...
Bodwulf - 7/25/2013, 4:27 PM
Ryan Gosling being involved with Star Wars?

Even a broken clock is right twice a day... The same percentage as this clown and his rumors.
Jollem - 7/25/2013, 4:40 PM
your mad at lr for not being correct about things they were told? i feel ya. i was mad about being told the mandarin was supposed to be in iron man 3
ruadh - 7/25/2013, 4:44 PM
Basically...I'm not believing anything until I see a trailer.

So Levi .... You a Notebook fan??? Cuz if Gusto says it,; it has to be true
BuzzKiller - 7/25/2013, 4:59 PM
@ nailbiter...yeah anybody could be right 2% of the time if they spew enough B.S.,and that is the case with Latino Review! They throw so many rumors and "heard it from sources" out there, that they have to get some of it right. This is a forum for people to leave comments,so since you guys want to take the chance at getting the "scoop" out their first, you have to be ready for some backlash when it doesn't pan out. Or else close your comment sections.
DSAC294 - 7/25/2013, 5:08 PM
@buzzkiller.... Exactly!!!
OldBenKenobi - 7/25/2013, 5:09 PM
Quite glad about this. No knock on Gosling, he's a good actor, he just wouldn't fit right with Star Wars...
typicalfanboy - 7/25/2013, 5:15 PM
this just means that according to fanboys, ryan gosling IS in starwars VII, since his people denied it.
nailbiter111 - 7/25/2013, 5:17 PM
BuzzKiller - Yeah, BUT LR doesn't toss vague rumors around like most rumor sites do. LR is one of the few that has very detailed and very concrete rumors, while shitty sites like cosmicbooknews posts a ton of "rumors" (bullshit) but presents them in an incredibly vague and non-committal way. I just think we should remember when sites actually are right and not butcher them when rumors don't turn out.
nailbiter111 - 7/25/2013, 5:18 PM
I'm just trying to be FAIR. I figured most people would respect that.
CaptainAmerica31 - 7/25/2013, 5:19 PM
Damn i was actually hoping he would do it. Great actor, deserves more recognition to get from B+ star to A+
